If I can upload pictures , it would be pretty self obvious. Dirty towels, dirty ice bucket, dirty floors, bathroom fan didn't work. Smoke detectors are without batteries stuck in the nightstand drawer, no sugar for the coffee. Black footprints on the bathroom walls. I asked for clean towels, frontdesk said they didn't have any but would bring me some later and never did. No "Do Not Disturb" sign to hang on the door to tell the maid not to bother me. Driveway into the place was riddled with potholes.Police were cruising parking lot on a regular basis which tells me they've had trouble there before. I could go on but running out of space to write. If I could leave less than one star, I would. They should have paid me to stay there and I will not be back.

Beautiful and peacefully hotel, very clean and the staff very friendly, continued in the same way to keeping this hotel in very good condition, extra points,very close to different dining options, and very convenient truck parking with private entrance...

Parking was great because the place is so ran down nobody stays there. I was there for maybe 30 mins. I could not stay at that disgusting place. The worst motel ive ever been to. Blood on the toilet seats, the floor was dirty. Pillows worn out and stains all over them. Ask for a king and it was two twins put together. Asked for a refund and they refused. Holes in the wall. Roach feces on the lamps. Still trying to get my refund. The front desk smelled like ass. I wouldnt even give it a one star, its that bad. Tv didnt work. On top of that, went to check out other rooms not only did the tvs not work but the same other problems as the room that was assigned to me. I just ended up going back to my original room and checked out minutes after.

Room was filthy, torn bed sheets, black mold all over the shower curtain, black greasy marks all over the supposedly clean towels and on the walls, doors and toilet. Trash in trash cans from prior occupier. Door jam was taped on & fell off when trying to exit the door. I left clearly due to the cleanliness issues.

Room was super dirty, the walls were damaged. I had booked three nights and after my first night my medication, toiletries, my smokes, a beer were all thrown away when I got back. Front desk said they thought I checked out. It happened again next day. The place has noisy tenants, it’s falling apart, dirty sheets and towels, your belongings go missing. I do not recommend staying here.

The hotel was dilapidated. The counter person suggested that we inspect the room before check in. We did. The television was broken, the water wouldn’t get wam, the room smelled bad. We inspected another room. Same thing. We moved on down the road.

Great place to hang my hat for a bit. No bugs, and the bed was comfy. The little table was great so that i didnt also have to eat at my desk. The Chicago diner place in the gas station next door was really good too. And Popeyes and Crystal being right next-door was also awesome. Staff was friendly and helpful, ill probably stay here again in the future.

I could not get the Wi-Fi to connect, which is not unusual at motels in my experience. The outlet near the vanity would not work to run the coffee machine. There was urban contemporary "music" throbbing from a few doors down, but fortunately, I can block that out and still get a good nights sleep.

Property has smoking and non-smoking rooms mixed on each wing despite the sign in the lobby that says "no smoking". For health reasons we cannot stay in a smoking room so when we were placed in a smoking room originally we had to go back to the desk and request a room change (which was accomodated easily at least). Overall the property was not the cleanest and the shower curtain had mold/mildew covering the bottom of it. The smoke detector was missing entirely from the room we stayed in as well as one of the bedside lights which was obvious because the wiring for these was capped but left hanging out of the wall/ceiling.

The odor, the linen a towels are very poor condition- no coffee unless you make it to breakfast. The check in staff was great but the room -not so much -even the door doesn’t seem very secure, big space between the doorframe when closed. The bathroom was the best part- it is clean. This room needs a stopper in the sink- it’s nasty seeing that drain while roaming from brushing your teeth /washing your face .

My toilet lid was broken in half. The tv had a cracked screen from someone punching it. The bedding and towels were all filthy and I am not exaggerating when I say every towel had multiple stains on it and so did all of the linens. The smoke director was missing and this was the third room they gave me because the first two were even worse. I felt terrible for the kid working the front desk because he was extremely nice and tried his best with what he had to work with. The best part was on Expedia the motel is listed as pet friendly but when you get there they have signs up that say absolutely no pets. Honestly if my cats went through and pissed all over that room it would have been an improvement. I don’t know how the health department hasn’t closed this place down.

Terrible. The popcorn ceiling was peeling in giant sheets in every room. The dining table was sticky. The bath mat was dirty. There were only 3 pillows on a king bed. The curtain was hanging by just a few hooks at the window. The tv didn't work.

House of Horrors is more accurate. Imagine any horror movie you've ever seen based on a hotel. Well this is it. We were hit with the smell of cigarettes immediately. I found ashes on the headboard. I immediately inspected the bed and found a liquor bottle and baby pacifier. The carpet looks like a murder scene. I asked for a different room. We inspected it and couldn't open the bathroom door. I shudder to think what might be inside. We immediately left after returning the keys.

This property was filthy. The front desk person claimed that he couldn’t find my reservation, and was extremely rude. As soon as we entered the room the smell was unbearable. Approaching the door, there was trash everywhere as well as dirty towels. People were hanging outside in what could only be pajamas, smoking things other than “cigarettes”. The ceiling in the bathroom was full of mold! The linen had multiple cigarette burns and the carpet was filthy dirty also. We did not touch anything in the room but immediately returned to the front desk to check out. They refused a refund. We found a place that was half the price of this place and will NEVER consider staying g at a Magnolia Inn anywhere, ever again.

If I can upload pictures , it would be pretty self obvious. Dirty towels, dirty ice bucket, dirty floors, bathroom fan didn't work. Smoke detectors are without batteries stuck in the nightstand drawer, no sugar for the coffee. Black footprints on the bathroom walls. I asked for clean towels, frontdesk said they didn't have any but would bring me some later and never did. No "Do Not Disturb" sign to hang on the door to tell the maid not to bother me. Driveway into the place was riddled with potholes.Police were cruising parking lot on a regular basis which tells me they've had trouble there before. I could go on but running out of space to write. If I could leave less than one star, I would. They should have paid me to stay there and I will not be back.

We zijn niet eens naar binnen gegaan. Voor de kamers rondom de parkeerplaats zat iemand op de stoel kennelijk zich in te spuiten, om half 12 in de avond speelde een zwart meisje nog allen op straat en uit enkele kamers kwam keiharde muziek. De aankomst was gewoon zo onveilig dat we het gewoon niet aandurfden, het spijt me heel etc dit te moeten schrijven, maar het leek wel een B-film!!

If I could rate this place negative-10, I would. This place is WORSE than a DUMP! IT IS DANGEROUS!!! We just needed a place to sleep on a long road trip and Hattiesburg MS was a good place to stop. It was rated 7.2 on Expedia, so we thought it would be good enough to crash for the night. It’s obvious now that many of the reviews are not legitimate! We arrived to see our toilet seat lid leaning against the wall outside our room. Inside, the toilet tank lid was broken, the curved shower curtain rod prevented the bathroom door from closing, the TV screen was smashed, the lamp shade was smashed. Five or six times during the night, different people, male and female, pounded on our door saying, “open the door or I’ll call the police.” One man slammed against the door with his body and the lock and deadbolt did not hold. The only thing that kept the door from opening more than a couple of inches was the metal latch. When we checked out, the staff acted as though they were surprised and made excuses. Worst motel ever!!!

Great place to hang my hat for a bit. No bugs, and the bed was comfy. The little table was great so that i didnt also have to eat at my desk. The Chicago diner place in the gas station next door was really good too. And Popeyes and Crystal being right next-door was also awesome. Staff was friendly and helpful, ill probably stay here again in the future.

Listed as pet friendly but they printed signs that said "No pets." Booked geound access and he tried to put me on 2nd floor. Had to argue about it. Room was filthy, cigarette burns, loud music in parking lot, holes in the wall...

This property was filthy. The front desk person claimed that he couldn’t find my reservation, and was extremely rude. As soon as we entered the room the smell was unbearable. Approaching the door, there was trash everywhere as well as dirty towels. People were hanging outside in what could only be pajamas, smoking things other than “cigarettes”. The ceiling in the bathroom was full of mold! The linen had multiple cigarette burns and the carpet was filthy dirty also. We did not touch anything in the room but immediately returned to the front desk to check out. They refused a refund. We found a place that was half the price of this place and will NEVER consider staying g at a Magnolia Inn anywhere, ever again.

First, the entrance to the hotel was difficult to find, even with GPS. The room was not a nonsmoking room as advertised. It was not very clean, there were stains on carpet, bedding, and towels. It did not feel secure. The morning coffee and pastries were not provided as advertised. We were not able to have coffee in the room because supplies were not provided with the coffee maker. We are very disappointed with our overall stay and we are unsure of how it received the rating is has.

I could not get the Wi-Fi to connect, which is not unusual at motels in my experience. The outlet near the vanity would not work to run the coffee machine. There was urban contemporary "music" throbbing from a few doors down, but fortunately, I can block that out and still get a good nights sleep.

Someone else’s hair was on the shower wall, a wall lamp was missing and there was exposed wires, it states there’s continental breakfast and there was none. The sheets and towels had dark brown stains on them. The tv did not work. The am clerk did not address me once. The night clerk was nice.

The odor, the linen a towels are very poor condition- no coffee unless you make it to breakfast. The check in staff was great but the room -not so much -even the door doesn’t seem very secure, big space between the doorframe when closed. The bathroom was the best part- it is clean. This room needs a stopper in the sink- it’s nasty seeing that drain while roaming from brushing your teeth /washing your face .

I don’t mind old or no breakfast as long as a hotel is clean. Our room looked dirty and smelled of cigarettes. There was a black ring in the tub and cigarette burns in bedspread. We ended up sleeping on a sleeping bag on top of the bedspread with our pillows from home. Also glad I brought Clorox wipes and Lysol with me.

The property has seen better days but the room was okay. They show that your stay includes breakfast, it doesn't. They do have a coffee maker in the room but they only give you one serving of coffee, but they didn't leave any coffee cups so I guess they left enough :(

Service Animal issue: desk clerk said i had to show him proof of service & I explained that the id cards aren’t necessary, so he insisted I show him my letter from Doctor. I showed him and explained that he couldn’t technically ask for that info but I had already paid & was tired from long drive. Pix attached

The room i stayed it was terrible. When I walked in I was hit with a bad spell. The amenities were broken,hole in the walls were covered up by a tv or something, the whole room on the inside needed to be updated. The bath tub had stains of dirt in the tub and I saw a roach. The pictures had to be old or something. I was very displeased.
