Et kort opphold, rakk en tur inn til gamle byen og spiste en fantastisk frokost før vi tok gondolen til høyeste topp. Flott hotell, deilig takterrasse med levende musikk og god service!

Stayed here twice now, and it has not improved. Lumpy foam pillows, not feather. Loud LOUD streets below. Rooftop Bar American ran out of appetizer plates at 6pm on a Friday night !? Breakfast offering has been significantly reduced for the worse, used to rave about their breakfast and now it is below average. At premium rates we expected much much more. The parking garage is under construction and they managed that OK, but we will stay elsewhere when visiting Innsbruck next time.

Check in und Check out ist sehr speditiv, sehr freundliches Personal. Das Zimmer ist ok, Abstellplatz für den Koffer gibt es keinen. Die Putzmannschaft hat Potential zur Verbesserung, die Betten wurden teilweise halbpatzig gemacht und generell scheint es, dass man nicht zuviel Zeit für die Zimmerreinigung hatte. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist reichhaltig und bietet alles. Man muss aber ein grosser Esser sein damit sich die 25 Euro rechtfertigen. Sehr schön ist, dass man eine Welcome Card bekommt mit der man alle ÖV kostenlos benutzen kann. Trotz den kleineren Mängeln war der Aufenthalt angenehm und The Penz ist bestimmt empfehlenswert.

Wir bekamen das Zimmer 117, das ganz offensichtlich nicht fachgerecht gereinigt worden ist. Morgens ca. 6 Uhr grosser Lärm unter dem, wegen der Hitze offenen Fenster. Die Müllabfuhr war angekommen und hat während mehr als 30 Minuten ihre, mit grossem Lärm verbundene Arbeit verrichtet. Eine unangenehme Angelegenheit wenn man 200 € pro Nacht bezahlt.

Cool, modern facade made of all glass with a beautiful view of the city from the rooftop bar and restaurant area. There was a chill but upscale vibe that was very comfortable. The women that helped us when we checked-in was professional and very welcoming. Our room was not huge but spacious enough for the three of us, as I was traveling with my parents. The wood paneling that adorns each room adds warm to the modern aestectic. I cannot comment on the breakfast because I was too full from the previous night"s dinner to partake. Last, the room and the hotel in general was very clean.

Terrific hotel with wonderful staff. Our room was clean and comfortable with beautiful linens, comfortable pillows and lovely toiletries. Loved having the bar fridge to store my milk for my tea in the mornings. Enjoyed the exceptional hot and cold breakfast buffet along with a lovely drink in the bar in the evening. Just perfect to walk everywhere and appreciated the free transportation card.

Sehr gut gelegen in der Altstadt, alles sehe gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Das Zimmer und das Bad war sehr sauber , sehr bequemes Bett. Room was nice, except right above a noisy restaurant... Luckily the noise subsided by midnight on Saturday, and the restaurant was mercifully closed on Sunday. Otherwise, a nice comfortable room, and the staff were friendly.

Es ist klein, ungünstig geschnitten und die Badewannendusche ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Hier hätten wir uns eine bodentiefe Dusche gewünscht. Die Altstadt von Innsbruck ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Auch die Anbindung mit Bus und Straßenbahn ist optimal. Das personal ist sehr freundlich. Am Frühstücksbuffet gibt es nichts auszusetzen.

On the positive side, the location was great, the rooms are nice and spacious, and the staff were friendly. However, we felt this place was overpriced and could not figure out why it was rated highly by others. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. The WiFi would not work half the time. The shower got luke warm at best and wouldn't drain well. Seems like they need to put some money into upgrading the facilities and I'm sure when this place was built, it was a great hotel but they don't seem to have kept it up over the past 20 years.

We live this hotel. They got it right. The lighting in the room was really nice. The room had a nice glass table that rolled that was easy to move. It came in handy when my husband got hurt skiing and he had a hard time getting around.

We had a great stay at the hotel. The location is perfect. I took my mum for her birthday. The check in staff noticed and arranged a treat. All the staff were great but special mentions to the desk staff and Greg from the hotel bar. The breakfast was great and well worth it. The rooms were very comfortable. Only comment (particularly for British guests) was that the rooms did not have kettles. Not sure if the hotel provides the on request but, if you are like my mum and live on tea, it’s worth taking a travel kettle.

Check in und Check out ist sehr speditiv, sehr freundliches Personal. Das Zimmer ist ok, Abstellplatz für den Koffer gibt es keinen. Die Putzmannschaft hat Potential zur Verbesserung, die Betten wurden teilweise halbpatzig gemacht und generell scheint es, dass man nicht zuviel Zeit für die Zimmerreinigung hatte. Terrific hotel with wonderful staff. Our room was clean and comfortable with beautiful linens, comfortable pillows and lovely toiletries. Loved having the bar fridge to store my milk for my tea in the mornings. Enjoyed the exceptional hot and cold breakfast buffet along with a lovely drink in the bar in the evening. Just perfect to walk everywhere and appreciated the free transportation card.

Preis- Leistung steht nicht im Verhältnis. Wir haben uns vor der Buchung telefonisch über die Zimmer erkundigt und mitgeteilt, dass wir mit unseren Zwillingen (10 Wochen) anreisen möchten und es wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass wir ein dementsprechend größeres Bett bekommen könnten. Bei unserer späten Anreise haben wir ein sehr kleines Zimmer mit einem normalen Bett aufgefunden. Das Zimmer war auch klein und sehr laut. Die Lobby war telefonisch nicht erreichbar und hat sich auch nicht mehr gemeldet. Die angeführte Nespresso Maschine stellt 3 Kapseln für 2 Personen für den gesamten Aufenthalt zur Verfügung - die Kapseln wurden nicht aufgefüllt. Es gab auch keinen Wasserkocher und auch kein stilles Mineralwasser. Das Zimmer war sauber, aufgrund der Lokale darunter und gegenüber, jedoch sehr laut. Beim Auschecken haben wir unsere schlechte Erfahrung auf die Nachfrage ob alles gepasst hat mitgeteilt - auf unsere Schilderungen gab es kein Kommentar. We had an excellent stay at the Penz Hotel. The property is posh, clean, and conveniently located in Innsbruck town center and only a 10-15 minute walk from Central Station. The staff are all very nice, particularly the staff at the 5th floor bar (shout out to Greg) which is cozy, has a great selection of cocktails and nice views. The daily breakfasts are fantastic and definitely worth the additional cost - big bang for your buck. If we return to Innsbruck we will absolutely stay at the Penz Hotel again.

This review would have been a 5* had it not been for the noise during the night. The hotel is attached to a shopping centre with bars/restaurants. So depending on what side your room is, I would be woken up at gone midnight with the emptying of rubbish/bottles, at 6am with deliveries and Lorry’s beeping and shortly after the bin men. I’m not a light sleeper either! Ask for a room on the quiet side - I wish I’d known! The positives - great staff - esp Rem (sorry if spelt wrong!) who was so helpful on the front desk, the staff at breakfast were really friendly, the bar and views are fab! Hotel is spotlessly clean. And a great location just a two minute walk from the old town.

Superb, modern hotel in the old town - an easy walk to the river, residenz, Hofkirche, cathedral and Nordkettenbahn funicular. Staff in all areas fantastic. The highlights for us were the excellent choice of a wide range of high quality hot and cold food for breakfast and the rooftop location (with views over the city and mountains) of both the breakfast room and Terrace Bar. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Penz. The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, the hotel is modern and in great condition, and the location couldn’t be better being just a short walk from the Old Town. The rooftop bar is fantastic, with a quality selection of drinks and a great ambience. Some very minor criticism; - despite having a good sized restaurant which serves breakfast for guests, the hotel does not offer food in the evening. This seems a missed opportunity given the great setting on the top floor. - the room design has some annoying quirks. Our bathroom had a fully transparent window (above head height) which means when you turn the bathroom light on it lights the *whole* bedroom. Very annoying if someone gets up in the night! - the minibar is a great feature, but it has a transparent door with a light that is permanently on. This means the corner of the bedroom has a permanent “night light” which illuminates the room and can’t be turned off I’m not going to score the hotel down for these points but wanted to include them in the review so they can be considered in future plans and room design. Otherwise a brilliant stay!!!

Beyond EXCELLENT!! This was probably one of the nicest hotels my husband and I have stayed at. The breakfast was simply amazing. So many choices! From fresh bread and fruit, to salmon, eggs, and sausage and countless pastries! Best breakfast from a hotel we ever enjoyed! Please, stay here if you come to Innsbruck!

Short one night stay passing thru on the way to Italy from Prague .. hotel felt very business centered which was fine .. efficient functional and especially appreciated parking under the hotel by the elevators making it easy to get the bags up Breakfast was odd .. lots of sweets and fruit but limited cheeses .. odd for Austria in my experience Hidden away Restaurant the reception recommended was awesome

Our check-out person, Vittoria was fantastic! She helped correct our parking issue since our check-in gal did not explain that our pass was good for 2 nights. Vittoria was very pleasant and helpful. I wish we had her at check-in as I recommended this hotel to 4 additional couples/rooms. Not once did our check-in person smile or offer to get help for 5 couples baggages when checking into The Penz! Also, we did not get the breakfast but 2 couples did and they told us it was 5 stars with lots of unusual breakfast items.

The hotel was simple and fairly basic. The welcome at reception was luke warm and we did not have breakfast as this seemed expensive at €30 per person, per night. If we were to stay in Innsbruck again, would likely look for another hotel as it was quite basic for the price. Good location.

Staff always gracious. Re maintenance. My bedroom blackout curtain was hanging off the last two hooks entire time I was there. The other thing is that their tv services do not include Netflix and other channels like that. Needs updating. Particularly since the only English speaking programme is CNN heaven help us. Whatever happened to global BBC??? Not every English speaking person is up to hear CNN raving about their President constantly. Those were the only drawbacks. Location splendid. Breakfast room is lovely. Breakfasts copious but could do with some changes after a week!! Air con works! Although have to say I had huge problems with the internet dropping all the time. I complained 5 straight days in a row and nothing happened. Gave up. I am now situated in another hotel in Salzburg and have absolutely no issue at all with their internet. Solid. So telling me my computer was the problem was nonsense clearly. At least the staff were pleasant each time I complained !!!! But nothing.....
