Fun new spot in Bardstown, KY. Great pool area with a wonderful poolside bar. Loved the outdoor amenities and can't wait to come back with extended family.

Wonderful newly updated motel that has an awesome gated backyard with fire pits and seating! We loved it! The restaurant across the street has some of the greatest food you’ll ever eat! Great bar area and staff! We even bought some to-go drinks! We will be back!

I would 100% stay here again. We loved the heated pool and fire pits with free smores kits. The room was comfortable and quiet and had everything we needed. I highly recommend eating at Toogie's Table. The food was great and they offered deals for hotel guests.

Its a nice place - nice rooms - comfy beds - you can go out to the courtyard and build a fire in a firepit or share a fire with others - the pool looked very nice - was there only one night but we enjoyed it

Amber, Cameron & the rest of staff were so kind & helpful. We had a minor hiccup & they took care of it. The heated salt pool & outdoor fire w/ s’mores was a great way to end a busy (bourbon) day. We’ll be back to the Bardstown Motor Lodge!

Room is real comfy, beds are great. They have a saltwater pool at 93 degrees! The staff was so friendly, makes you feel real welcome. The hotel is real close to the downtown area and right across the street is the My Old Kentucky Home State Park!

Unfortunately the pool was closed which closed the pool bar and we were not permitted to bring drinks from the bar/Restaurant to the firepit area. Need more hangers in room

Very clean and quiet rooms. Updated rooms, retro style, really comfortable beds. The staff is also very nice and helpful. Great oasis with a nice pool that is walking distance to Bardstown. Mixed drinks and bar at the pool.

We had a really good visit here and really liked the rooms and courtyard. The staff was friendly and helpful when asked. The fold out bed was dirty and we had to get fresh bedding for it. The bar wasn't open and the neighboring restaurant wouldn't let us take drinks to the hotel. If we return to this area we would come back here without hesitation.

The outdoor front light was shining right into our room at night, maybe add a shade underneath the blinds The room smelled musty. Loved the courtyard with fire pit! Was the best part of the hotel!

Rooms were spacious, beds and pillows very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, setting up the fire pits and keeping them fed with wood, supplying ice and other necessities. The entire property was very clean, but furniture and rugs had some stains. The pull down shades did not block the exterior light, had to get creative to darken the room. We loved the courtyard, did not use the pool but it looked very nice. Given this was a “motor lodge”, my expectations were not that high. I was pleasantly surprised. Last thing - the restaurant was not open for breakfast or lunch - dinner was excellent - we were there 4 nights.

This location is great in good weather but not good if it's raining. The walk-up to our room was on exterior stairs that had very slick steps and lots of rain coming in. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff person was sitting on a couch instead of being behind the counter. He had stuff everywhere when I checked in... it was like he was doing homework or something. a girl was hanging out who didn't appear to work there... maybe a girlfriend. The gentleman who checked me in sat on the couch and was unprofessional. I was very disappointed in the interaction with check-in.

Perfect accommodations for a stay on the Bourbon Trail. Very cool retro motor lodge that is very clean. The fire pits are a great place to sit and sip after a day of running around. Will definitely be back.

The hotel has nice amenities like fire pits and a pool but the bug infestations, strange smells, and dirty rooms do not make the amenities worth the stay. I had to move rooms after a bug issue and the second room was not clean. The floors were grimy, the shower doors had streaks, and the remote for the tv was literally sticky. They also don’t offer room service (which is fine I guess although they do have a restaurant on the property) and the town doesn’t have great options on Uber Eats.

Clean room and pleasant staff. Nicely decorated with a retro feel. Missing a few amenities like no iron or ironing board, no hairdryer and no phone to call office if anything was needed and no ice bucket. AC Unit was leaking water so you could hear it dripping on floor and made a portion of the carpet wet. Windows could use some sheer blinds for some privacy while letting in some natural light. Had to keep dark shade down so kinda felt like a cave. With all that being said I would still stay here again. Cleanliness, staff and decor made were great.

Motel is convenient location to Bourbon trail. Hotel is clean. Staff was friendly. We stayed one night. Room needs drapes to absorb sound and block light. We heard lots of outside sounds from road traffic and parking lot. Blinds to not block parking lot lights. Feel like it needs more decor on walls to make it more cozy. Would stay here again but I am not a fan of bathroom barn door. It provides no privacy. Might as well hang up a sheet.

Check in was a little confusing, finding the front desk kiosk at back of property and then the key maker not working (sign mentioned this, find front desk attendant), but no worries. Room was nice and up to date. Linens, bed comfort, and soaps were excellent, with cleanliness very good. Courtyard was nice on evenings with the bar open. I don’t always enjoy campfire smoke and all the pits were lit but found places to avoid it. Cocktails were ok but pricey. Staff was always very friendly and helpful.

All the pictures for the property show only 1 story, so i never thought I'd need to request ground floor, as hubby is a disabled vet. We were given a 2nd story room w no elevator, so that was frustrating. There is no daily housekeeping and the exterior door to our 2nd story room wasn't fully sealed, so daylight was visible around the entire door. We were told at check in that the type of room we had (king size bed, studio room) for our stay (thursday to sunday) this was the only one available, so it was pointless to mention the door issue to the front desk. The room satisfied the need of a bed & a shower, but we don't plan to stay there again.

It wasn’t bad although the other two couples in our group ended up not being able to stay with us. That was disappointing. The rooms were fine. We were right by the pool and they were loud and partying back there til very late. Only other complaint was no vending machines so no pop or evening snacks. Otherwise it was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable.

The room was very nice, updated and comfortable. The only complaint about the room was that the AC was too cold. We turned it to 80° and it kept running! Check-in was hard to find, but the staff was helpful and friendly.

Pros: Conveniently located. Kitschy vibe. Great little courtyard. Nice "lounge" area at the check/in with games, coffee maker, fireplace. Cons: The blind is only light-filtering, not room-darkening, which allowed so much light in from the outside "porch" (as well as the street light). It also had a broken piece that left a hole for even more light to enter. There were some kind of Dove Mens' Care product stickers affixed to the top of that window frame, which the cleaning person somehow failed to see and remove. We struggled with opening the main door from the inside. Perhaps that locking mechanism can be looked at (#4).

We enjoyed our stay so much! The check-in was easy. The bed was very comfortable. The shade on the window let a lot of light in from the porch light, which made it light in the room for sleep. Maybe add a curtain?

I reached out via the hotel’s main phone number as well as the message/chat option on this website the morning of the day we were scheduled to arrive. None has yet to get back to me. We had an unexpected family emergency and had to cancel. I reached out to let the hotel know and ask them if they would consider a refund as it was an emergency. Check in was a little confusing, finding the front desk kiosk at back of property and then the key maker not working (sign mentioned this, find front desk attendant), but no worries. Room was nice and up to date. Linens, bed comfort, and soaps were excellent, with cleanliness very good. Courtyard was nice on evenings with the bar open. I don’t always enjoy campfire smoke and all the pits were lit but found places to avoid it. Cocktails were ok but pricey. Staff was always very friendly and helpful.

This location is great in good weather but not good if it's raining. The walk-up to our room was on exterior stairs that had very slick steps and lots of rain coming in. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff person was sitting on a couch instead of being behind the counter. He had stuff everywhere when I checked in... it was like he was doing homework or something. a girl was hanging out who didn't appear to work there... maybe a girlfriend. The gentleman who checked me in sat on the couch and was unprofessional. I was very disappointed in the interaction with check-in.

Amber, Cameron & the rest of staff were so kind & helpful. We had a minor hiccup & they took care of it. The heated salt pool & outdoor fire w/ s’mores was a great way to end a busy (bourbon) day. We’ll be back to the Bardstown Motor Lodge!

Great location for visiting local distilleries. Downtown Bardstown was only a 10-15 minute walk so we didn’t have to worry about driving after visiting a couple bourbon bars in town.

The driveway into the facility is difficult to see and the sign for it isn’t near the entrance. The hours for the swimming pool aren’t considering the hours of the Stephen Foster Story. The pool closes at the same time the show (which is a block away & the main reason to visit the area). It would be a lot better to close the pool at 11:00 PM. The $$$ breakfast is too expensive, $9 for oatmeal or eggs! It is decorated well and you can sign into your apps on the TV rather than outdated cable. The staff is very friendly and grounds are obviously updated!!

Room is real comfy, beds are great. They have a saltwater pool at 93 degrees! The staff was so friendly, makes you feel real welcome. The hotel is real close to the downtown area and right across the street is the My Old Kentucky Home State Park!

We came to Bardstown this year for our annual Bourbon Trail tour with friends and family, and thought we would experience a little Americana with a stay at the Motor Lodge, and it did not disappoint!! The place was as fun as it looked online. The location is perfect as well with it being less than a mile from downtown Bardstown and minutes from all of the distilleries in the Bardstown area.

We had a really good visit here and really liked the rooms and courtyard. The staff was friendly and helpful when asked. The fold out bed was dirty and we had to get fresh bedding for it. The bar wasn't open and the neighboring restaurant wouldn't let us take drinks to the hotel. If we return to this area we would come back here without hesitation.

Rooms were spacious, beds and pillows very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, setting up the fire pits and keeping them fed with wood, supplying ice and other necessities. The entire property was very clean, but furniture and rugs had some stains. The pull down shades did not block the exterior light, had to get creative to darken the room. We loved the courtyard, did not use the pool but it looked very nice. Given this was a “motor lodge”, my expectations were not that high. I was pleasantly surprised. Last thing - the restaurant was not open for breakfast or lunch - dinner was excellent - we were there 4 nights.

I would 100% stay here again. We loved the heated pool and fire pits with free smores kits. The room was comfortable and quiet and had everything we needed. I highly recommend eating at Toogie's Table. The food was great and they offered deals for hotel guests.

Most of the staff were great! Very accommodating, but you have to be specific on what you want from housekeeping. If you don’t ask for the bed to be made, it won’t be made. LOL Food at restaurant is DELICIOUS!!

Cool fire pit area. Retro theme was different. On-site restaurant (not part of hotel) was overpriced with limited options. Check out Uncle Spoony's sports bar instead. Friendly owner and good food.

3rd year staying here. Love to sit in the courtyard at night with the fire pit, have a drink and smoke a cigar. Staff always very pleasant. Rooms always clean. Great restaurant Nextdoor. Close to many bourbon distilleries and Evergreen liquors have 1/2 price pours on Wednesdays. A MUST if you’re here on a Wednesday. Will stay here every visit to Kentucky.

The grounds and over-all facility were well kept and clean. The room was clean, bed, tub, toilet were all in good working order and clean. Parking lot was a little rough, broken up concrete, but usable just be careful not to trip. I noticed a couple holes rusted through the stair side stringer (not small but 2 to 3 inches in diameter ) this is a concern for me as to the condition of the structure. Air conditioning worked very well, however the remote control batteries were dead and made adjusting the temperature impossible. The lighting for the room was insufficient, there are a couple lamps by the bed, one in a corner behind a chair then a light in the space outside the bathroom and the bathroom light. Entering the room at night you need a flashlight as the light switch by the door controlled nothing. Lastly, staff was friendly and helpful, there till around 10 pm and not in office until 10 am. There was nobody there when we went to check out, the computers were locked by password so all we could do was to leave our card key on the desk and go, no drop box or anything. Over-all, good stay, nice enough place, just needs a bit of improvement. OH, the area around the motel was great!!

We loved the retro decor and the bed was comfortable great location our a/c was noisy like a fish tank and sinks faucet had a little issue but staff was very apologetic. Would still go especially fall!
