Staff and service was excllent. The rooms are ok and the private balconies overlooking the ocean are amazing. The bar/restaurant at the beach area has been upgraded. The rest of the place is a bit dated and could use an update. Access to the beach club sail boats is a plus

What a beautiful location. We had a really nice, large, beachfront room, with nice large bathroom. Room us as advertised and we did lay out on the balcony in the sun as the waves rolled in. The beach is wonderful. Crystal clear warm water that has a nice shallow part, sandy beach that was easy to walk on. I loved that getting a beach chair and umbrella were always easy no matter the time of day. The staff were all so friendly! Tge grounds were so well maintained! We started each day with the nice fresh breakfast, which was included, and were always given a nice table overlooking the water. Picture perfect!

A lovely hotel the ocean view room was well appointed comfortable and quiet with a lovely large balcony with comfortable seating. Very good restaurants and bar with new furniture. The breakfasts are very good. Access to beach was easy. The ONLY downside they need to get the beach service sorted, it's all a bit haphazard and disorganised and they are missing out on revenue. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. The extensive gardens and ground are very well maintained. Lovely stay and very friendly and helpful staff.

Overall a good experience..great service with dining and beach service and walkable to some beach bars/restaurants. Beautiful beach but damaged by last hurricane and needs some maintenance to resort on the outside by the beach.

It is a solid hotel in an excellent location (one of the best beaches in Barbados). Overall friendly staff. It is expensive and some improvements needed given the price charged: 1 - Buttler service (waited 1 day to be introduced to him and was very difficult to reach him during my stay. When reached he was very efficient) 2- Restaurants (hotel really needs a new F&B Manager. Theses could be some of the best restaurants in Barbados given location but they lack ambiance (proper decoration, decent playlist, mood light) and need a new chef (food is totally unmemorable) - that's why they are always empty even when hotel is full. 3 - Music Selection ...We were there in Xmas season (I know it's hard to escape to xmas playlists...) but I wonder what insights management have on their guests...I really don't think people travel from USA and Europe to the land of Calypso to listen to Kenny G, Mariah Carrey and Celine Dion...music selection totally kills the Caribbean vibe in this place 4 - Beach service extremely slow (it's a wide beach and there is not enough staff in high season so be prepared to wait 30min to get noticed and another 30min to get served). I would return to Barbados without hesitation (amazing island) but would probably chose another place to stay.

Wonderful time spent at Fairmont. Warm welcome from the moment we stepped on the property. Got a room upgrade and complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. The cleaning staff kept the rooms well maintained and replenished the water daily. Ate in the Taboras restaurant and daily breakfast. Great choice and very good food. Beach lovely and clean, crystal clear waters. Relaxed, friendly vibe. Highly reccomend the Fairmont Royal Pavilions

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Fairmont Royal Pavilion! It is a beautiful property right on the beach, very well maintained and staffed. Everyone we saw and spoke with was extremely respectful, professional, helpful, positive and pleasant. Staff went above and beyond in all areas of guest service!!

Our stay at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion was wonderful! It was spotless, staff were very friendly, dinner was delicious, entertainment was good. All rooms have spectacular ocean views. It was very relaxing and quiet, never had to race for a beach chair, always plenty of space for everything. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

For a Fairmont 5-star rating it was terrible breakfast was very limited grounds were not too tidy staff was way too slow they ran out of food and drinks at breakfast for the amount of money we paid it was a terrible experience

This is a four, not five star hotel. The staff are very friendly but the property is becoming run down/ the location is lovely and quiet. All the rooms face the ocean and we enjoyed our balcony. The restaurant needs a more varied menu, but there are lots of restaurants to try. Nothing much in the way of walking but there’s a bit. They need to bring down the price of the room, though, since I was paying Four Seasojs price but without the quality. But as said, staff is very friendly and helpful. The property isn’t as advertised on their website since they show multiple restaurants on site - seems like they are in transition. I stil enjoyed my stay. But I won’t go back until the property is revamped.

The hotel was wonderful for us not too large quiet with lovely grounds and beach. The staff were excellent went out of the way to be helpful. The room was spacious and room service very good. We will certainly return soon

The property is lovely and the staff were all very friendly but the Food service is a disaster. On our first night we ate in the Palm Terrace and were treated to very thin and very peppery "Chowder" with possibly 3 tiny pieces of fish, followed by rubbery and tasteless octopus. The main courses of snapper and lobster trio (that night it was a solo) were equally grossly over-spiced and chewy. You would think better seafood would be available when you can see the water! We had lunch at Taboras and were treated to possibly the worst lobster fritters on the planet. Everything in both restaurants tasted frozen and most likely prepared with a microwave. Even the room service flatbread pizza was terrible, again chewy and clearly straight from the microwave. The staff, while friendly, didn’t seem to know anything about the menu or how the food was prepared. Such a shame to dine in such nice venues with such bad food. As far as the room goes, we had a lovely seaside Beachfront King Suite, but there was paint peeling, malfunctioning phones and the mini-fridge was “not temperature controlled”, whatever that means. It took nearly 2 days to have a replacement fridge delivered. As stated, the property is lovely, but need a facelift, some staff training, and a serious overhaul of the food service.
The property is lovely and the staff were all very friendly but the Food service is a disaster. On our first night we ate in the Palm Terrace and were treated to very thin and very peppery "Chowder" with possibly 3 tiny pieces of fish, followed by rubbery and tasteless octopus. The main courses of snapper and lobster trio (that night it was a solo) were equally grossly over-spiced and chewy. You would think better seafood would be available when you can see the water! We had lunch at Taboras and were treated to possibly the worst lobster fritters on the planet. Everything in both restaurants tasted frozen and most likely prepared with a microwave. Even the room service flatbread pizza was terrible, again chewy and clearly straight from the microwave. The staff, while friendly, didn’t seem to know anything about the menu or how the food was prepared. Such a shame to dine in such nice venues with such bad food. Had a pleasurable stay at the hotel but I would describe the rooms as in need of upgrade and tired. We chose a beachfront suite which allowed us to walk straight out onto our deck and the beach so very happy with that. Other plus points were the staff who are very polite and accommodating and the breakfast which was very high quality and good variation of food each day. In terms of negatives, the room was noisy and thin walls between rooms and noisy kids upstairs was not great. The room minibar despite a sign saying it would be replenished daily was actually never replenished. There was poor communication from the hotel about any evening entertainment that was happening and because of this we only ate once at the hotel but we’re glad we did as we had some amazing experiences at local restaurants All in all, a good holiday but this hotel could really do so much better and I don’t think I would choose to return again

This is a four, not five star hotel. The staff are very friendly but the property is becoming run down/ the location is lovely and quiet. All the rooms face the ocean and we enjoyed our balcony. The restaurant needs a more varied menu, but there are lots of restaurants to try. Nothing much in the way of walking but there’s a bit. They need to bring down the price of the room, though, since I was paying Four Seasojs price but without the quality. But as said, staff is very friendly and helpful. The property isn’t as advertised on their website since they show multiple restaurants on site - seems like they are in transition. I stil enjoyed my stay. But I won’t go back until the property is revamped.

Our room was dripping with water unless we left the a/c on 24/7 and kept the windows shut. It dried out after 3 days and we were told it was normal. Also management took around £800 from my bank account and then paid the money back when we left - they had no authority to do this and I believe it was illegal.

A lovely hotel the ocean view room was well appointed comfortable and quiet with a lovely large balcony with comfortable seating. Very good restaurants and bar with new furniture. The breakfasts are very good. Access to beach was easy. The ONLY downside they need to get the beach service sorted, it's all a bit haphazard and disorganised and they are missing out on revenue. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. The extensive gardens and ground are very well maintained. Lovely stay and very friendly and helpful staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Fairmont Royal Pavilion! It is a beautiful property right on the beach, very well maintained and staffed. Everyone we saw and spoke with was extremely respectful, professional, helpful, positive and pleasant. Staff went above and beyond in all areas of guest service!!

It is a solid hotel in an excellent location (one of the best beaches in Barbados). Overall friendly staff. It is expensive and some improvements needed given the price charged: 1 - Buttler service (waited 1 day to be introduced to him and was very difficult to reach him during my stay. When reached he was very efficient) 2- Restaurants (hotel really needs a new F&B Manager. Theses could be some of the best restaurants in Barbados given location but they lack ambiance (proper decoration, decent playlist, mood light) and need a new chef (food is totally unmemorable) - that's why they are always empty even when hotel is full. 3 - Music Selection ...We were there in Xmas season (I know it's hard to escape to xmas playlists...) but I wonder what insights management have on their guests...I really don't think people travel from USA and Europe to the land of Calypso to listen to Kenny G, Mariah Carrey and Celine Dion...music selection totally kills the Caribbean vibe in this place 4 - Beach service extremely slow (it's a wide beach and there is not enough staff in high season so be prepared to wait 30min to get noticed and another 30min to get served). I would return to Barbados without hesitation (amazing island) but would probably chose another place to stay.

This is an amazing resort just a few steps from the beach. The beach and color of water is beautiful and clean. The entire staff was amazing and top notch from the time we arrived and were greeted for check-in until the time we left and they for gracious to provide late check out as our flight was not until 5:30 pm. They could not not be more helpful or pleasant. I had a fabulous birthday getaway and am so glad I chose this resort (and I was considering many other places)!! Best resort in Barbados to stay! Also, highly recommend dining at the Cliff (amazing views) and the lunch catamaran cruise. Thank you to the the service members including, Sueshella, Shelly Alleyne, Michael Sealy, Drerrick, and Ashlee (who I took pics of but am having a hard time uploading) for making our trip truly remarkable.

What a beautiful location. We had a really nice, large, beachfront room, with nice large bathroom. Room us as advertised and we did lay out on the balcony in the sun as the waves rolled in. The beach is wonderful. Crystal clear warm water that has a nice shallow part, sandy beach that was easy to walk on. I loved that getting a beach chair and umbrella were always easy no matter the time of day. The staff were all so friendly! Tge grounds were so well maintained! We started each day with the nice fresh breakfast, which was included, and were always given a nice table overlooking the water. Picture perfect!

This is the place to stay if you want a real feel for the warmth & charm of Barbados & its people instead of a cold impersonal hotel. The staff make you feel like part of their family and give wonderful support in every need of your visit ex. tours. Breakfast was very good. A lot of varieties: hot cold food, pastries fruits coffee tea, so tasteful. Restaurants are great. Want to say a special thank you to all receptionists who helped us so much! Also, the best review to the hotel taxi driver Roger Thompson who showed his professionalism and knowledge of the history of Barbados, will recommend to hire him for the island tour and any other activities. We will recommend the hotel to everyone and will return for sure! Thank you so much for an unforgettable trip and stay.

Only downside for me is that we visited after Hurricane Beryl and literal 6ft of beach was missing, so lots of rocks and not what I expected. They should state this before. Our stay at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion was amazing, we’ve traveled all over the world and never been treated like family like this staff did! We will definitely return. Only downside for me is that we visited after Hurricane Beryl and literal 6ft of beach was missing, so lots of rocks and not what I expected. They should state this before. For a Fairmont 5-star rating it was terrible breakfast was very limited grounds were not too tidy staff was way too slow they ran out of food and drinks at breakfast for the amount of money we paid it was a terrible experience

It is a solid hotel in an excellent location (one of the best beaches in Barbados). Overall friendly staff. It is expensive and some improvements needed given the price charged: 1 - Buttler service (waited 1 day to be introduced to him and was very difficult to reach him during my stay. When reached he was very efficient) 2- Restaurants (hotel really needs a new F&B Manager. Theses could be some of the best restaurants in Barbados given location but they lack ambiance (proper decoration, decent playlist, mood light) and need a new chef (food is totally unmemorable) - that's why they are always empty even when hotel is full. 3 - Music Selection ...We were there in Xmas season (I know it's hard to escape to xmas playlists...) but I wonder what insights management have on their guests...I really don't think people travel from USA and Europe to the land of Calypso to listen to Kenny G, Mariah Carrey and Celine Dion...music selection totally kills the Caribbean vibe in this place 4 - Beach service extremely slow (it's a wide beach and there is not enough staff in high season so be prepared to wait 30min to get noticed and another 30min to get served). I would return to Barbados without hesitation (amazing island) but would probably chose another place to stay.

Glorious beach, incredible water! The views!!! This was our second time at the Fairmont Royal Pavillion and will absolutely not be the last. Housekeeping staff were amazing and our room was immaculately cleaned every day. Restaurant staff were mixed, some were really lovely, some were a little unfriendly, but all in all we felt taken care of. Breakfast was good. The WiFi was significantly worse this time around, really hope it improves in the future (it was better when we came last year, not sure how that works). The only good thing about that was that it encouraged my son and I to put away our phones and enjoy the glorious...everything. But my husband had to work and was frustrated more than once. Gorgeous property, lovely staff. Can't wait to come back!

It was an amazing vacation however the food service was extremely slow multiple times . Breakfast would be finished and the drinks never showed up. That happen twice. You order a sandwich and it took 45-1 hour multiple times throughout the week .
