Staff was friendly enough. Upon checkin we noted how quiet it seemed. Told it would pick up when the construction crew booked there arrived for the night. Arrived in room. In desperate need of updating, along with hall carpet and walls. Well worn. Loose tiles in bathroom floor. No ice machine in space where it would have been located. No bedspread covering. Another white sheet covered the blanket on bed. Pillows were full and comfy. Went down for the provided breakfast next morning at 8:15. Told breakfast was from 6:30-9:30. No hot food left in chafing dishes except sausage patties. Told by staff it was all gone. Only had 2 bags to put out. Assume “construction crew” staying there are before starting their day. Seems the management would have planned for others knowing how much they eat during the duration of their stay. Juice machine had an out of order sign. Which included the water. Told we could get a bottle at front desk. Went there and upon checking, they were out of bottled water, but there was a drinking fountain down the hall. The pool was also closed for “maintenance” which we knew based on other reviews, but didn’t plan on using so was ok. Would say this hotel looks like it intends to close soon with all of the repairs and “out of” items noted. Staff were kind, but sadly for them probably deal with a lot of unhappy guests. Won’t be returning to this area but will also not book at a Wyndham by Wingate hotel ever again.
