Viva Beach Resort Mui Ne

We booked 10 nights at the Viva Resort hotel in Mui Ne. Having spent one night there can not continue for the remaining 9. Certain annoyances can be tolerated, like having to retune the TV every time you wanted to watch anything, even then most of the channels are barely watchable. But the noise from the road is constant with horns blaring. There is loud heavy bass music from the discothec next door making sleep virtually impossible. It never ends going on 6 am. No matter where you are in the hotel the noise is deafening. I went down to reception at 4 am to complain but found it deserted. We booked the hotel expecting it to be on the beach, the description gives that impression, but there is no such access. Breakfast was very disappointing, not as we had come to expect from a 3 star hotel, very sparse. The receptionist & other staff were very friendly & polite but the hotel is badly situated. To describe it as 3 star is a stretch of the imagination. It certainly needs to have double glazing & cable TV to bring it up to 3 star standards, the discothec nextdoor has got to limit it's hours. The receptionist did offer another room but as I have stated previously the noise can be heard no matter where you are in the hotel. My wife & I had no option but to move to another hotel for the reasons stated. I asked the receptionist for a refund & she informed me that payment had not been received & so expect to have the 9 nights outstanding to be refunded.

We loved our stay of 3 nights at Viva Resort. Our room was very spacious, the staff very friendly & helpful. Would recommend!

Stayed for a short period of time but service was good, lady was very nice and gave us a free upgrade as well didn’t stay long enough to experience much

It’s a fine little hotel, not so many people. Vi ofren had the pool to ourselves. Ok breakfast. The rooms got cleaned everyday. Friendly staff.
