Such a cute place to stay! Absolutely stunning views of the river & overall beautiful scenery. The breakfast was fantastic & enjoying the river by the jacuzzi, it really doesn’t get better. Vintage vibes throughout. Shout out to the awesome staff!! Delaney, John, Eric, & Shane definitely care about the guests & take great care of the property & it shows. Heads up- google maps took me to an incorrect location at first, so if you get taken to a camp sight incorrectly, travel about 30 minutes higher up the mountains. (Hotel is located about 20 mins past McNallys steakhouse if you need a landmark ) thanks for the great visit, will definitely come again!

Property is located between downtown Kernville and Land of 100 Giants trail. Allow at least 20-25 min to get into town, longer if you are behind a slow driver. I booked two massages on the website and did not notice the hotel has two locations: Kernville & Julian. The Kernville location does not have all the amenities (like a massage) offered at Julian. Note this when making your reservation. We had two spiders in the room, to be expected in a mountain area. The WiFi was spotty, no cell service until you hit town. Our room (#1) was right below the common area where breakfast is served, each morning around 8A we would stary to hear the footsteps and creaking of floor boards. No AC in the room and the ceiling fan was very loud. The room worked to sleep but was not a place I'd hang out in mostly because it was hot. Amber & Adam were very nice.

What it states on the website is a lie. You won’t see Sequoias at all if you stay here at Quiet Mind. You will be deeply disappointed. Winter heating doesn’t work. Room felt like an ice box. Staff seemed clueless. There is no zen atmosphere. Property run down. I booked 3 night but escaped early the next morning after only one night. I didn’t want to waste the valuable vacation time I had. They also won’t give a refund . Not a good place to stay. They need to shut down or pour more funds into improving and they need to tell the truth on their website the realities rather than being deceiving.

The place was very nice and the staff very welcoming and helpful. Nice facilities, great breakfast and beautiful locations along the river. Two negative points: The directions on Expedia are wrong and it took us an extra 40 minutes to reach the place, almost missing the check-in deadline and causing us to partially reschedule our rest of the trip. Second, possibly because of the season, a big quantities of flies were infesting the place making walking outside not so pleasant.

I loved my stay here. The clawfoot tub was amazing. My only feedback is I wish there was a table near the door, there wasn’t anywhere to put my luggage other than the floor. Also a mat on the inside near the door would be helpful, it was pouring rain during my stay and I needed a place to put my wet boots. Other than that, very peaceful location and a kind and helpful manager.

My wife and I rented a 2 night stay for Valentine’s Day thinking there was a masseuse let alone spa. When we arrived there was no masseuse or spa as they advertised. They take advantage of the distance from town and over charge their food 3 times it’s worth! We didn’t even stay because the whole place was bait n switch let alone false advertising! When we asked for a refund they said go through Expedia then they never responded to Expedia or the emails Expedia send requesting the refund! This place is a huge scam. Like I told Expedia, I will remove my bad reviews once they refund my money! It’s been over 2 weeks and we will escalate this until we get our money back!

The property has potential. Upon arrival there was electrical issues the mini split heater was broken and never repaired the remainder of the stay a small space heater was provided. There was no hot water the first night it came on in the morning for about an hour then off again we notified the front desk and left for the day when we came back it was still off and I had to tell them again no hot water. It was remedied but the following morning the water was very brown and unusable so we just left. 473 dollars down the drain. Also the pin they have on the maps is so wrong. The property is about 40 minutes from Kernville not 6 like the pin will tell you.

Such a wonderful, relaxing property with top notch staff. Hiked to all the waterfalls on property, enjoyed the in-room tub, the included breakfasts were convenient and really tasty, and driving to local hikes and Kernville was super easy. Nice way to unplug, but still have great amenities. Loved it!

We had a few minor issues with this property (distance to town, checking in, a cleanliness). But, these issues were minor compared to the stuff that was really amazing! Their manager, Adam, was so pleasant and kind and responsive! It felt like visiting with a really good friend. The grounds of the property are so beautiful-truly incredible. There are also several really nice out door seating areas! The complimentary breakfast was yummy. This place would make an ideal weekend escape. I want to visit again. Thank you.

What a beautiful hotel. The surrounding nature is so pristine and peaceful. A babbling stream and waterfalls with lush greenery made my mind immediately feel at ease. The lodge itself is so cozy, very clean and my room had beautiful views of the surrounding trees and I could hear the stream when I opened my window. The hotel manager, Adam, was very kind and helpful throughout my stay. I travelled on my own and felt this will be my new happy place, anytime I need some time out in nature. The lodge is also very close to the trail of 100 giants and many other great hikes in the Sequoia National Forest. Highly recommend for families, couples or solo travelers.

The rooms were cute! The property is nice but needs some upkeep and landscaping. The creek and waterfall is such a selling point but there is no direct access. Staff was friendly. Food was amazing.

We were given a room half the size of the one we booked due to renovations. It also had no kitchen as pictured and therefore had to round trip drive and hour to eat. We were messaged to say the address is not correct and the drive was further and that there was a road closure which meant we had to leave Yosemite earlier than we had planned. We were also emailed and saw the day before our stay to say our booking was cancelled and we could stay in San Diego instead but were not offered a refund however was then told our booking was not cancelled and our room was not affected. The room we were given is not in the photos provided and has a view of a metal staircase. We stayed here for the 100 giant sequoias and springs both of which were closed (outside of hotels control but not informed) and the teacups hike we did do instead was underwhelming. Of the six hotels we stayed on this trip this is the only one we were unhappy with and ironically the least quiet of them all.

Very beautiful wild outdoors. Staff was very nice. Property had a lot of trip hazards - my wife tripped and had a bad fall.

I made a reservation at Quiet Mind once my boyfriend and I scheduled an overlanding trip in Lake Isabella. I wanted to rough it one day and then have a nice relaxing hotel night the following day. Adam immediately called me to talk about the reservation and ask if I had any questions or requests. I was so impressed by his caring that we have a good stay. No hotel has ever done that for me (nor do I think they would ever). We were in contact again before we arrived. On the day of our arrival, it was about 100 degrees outside and I texted Adam ahead of time to give him our arrival time and to double check that we had air conditioning in the room, because we were looking forward to escaping the heat we had just been camping in. When we arrived, Adam led us to our room which had already been cooled down with an AC unit that was turned on ahead of time. The room is a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures, but nonetheless, the canopy bed and red curtains still make for an intimate and romantic stay. We walked along the river later that night, as well as sat in the water, and let the water rush passed us to cool us down. Having the river right next to the hotel was also very romantic. We had to leave super early the next morning so we didn't get to try the complimentary breakfast, but for the 14 hours we were at the property, we did enjoy it and I hope we'll be able to return again in the near future.

A lovely peaceful and relaxing stay. Adam our host, was super friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and overlooking the river behind the property. There wasn’t any phone signal in the mountains but there was free Wi-Fi to use. There was also complimentary breakfast served in the mornings which was great. Myself and my husband will definitely be returning in the future.

It was in a beautiful location, if that's what you're looking for. Expedia said it was 11 miles from town. It is about a 50 to 60 minute drive. The actual property wasnt cleared for adventuring. Also, expedia said it would sleep 6...it did not. It slept 4 and one of the beds was broken. Thank god we had our kids with us and not more adults. The shower was not un the bathroom either so there was zero privacy; needless to say the pictures were very misleading. But the girl running it was very nice.

Lovely quiet, meditative type stay—with nature as your entertainment. No TV and Wi-Fi is not good, if that is what you are looking for. If you are looking to unplug, this spot is perfect. Beautiful little waterfall out back—that you can hear if you keep the windows open. Clean mountain air and healthy breakfast options keep your mind rested and rejuvenated. Staff was excellent. Just do your research and know you are in the mountains—where anything can happen. If you are a flexible person looking to unwind, this is the spot for you.

What a beautiful hotel. The surrounding nature is so pristine and peaceful. A babbling stream and waterfalls with lush greenery made my mind immediately feel at ease. The lodge itself is so cozy, very clean and my room had beautiful views of the surrounding trees and I could hear the stream when I opened my window. The hotel manager, Adam, was very kind and helpful throughout my stay. I travelled on my own and felt this will be my new happy place, anytime I need some time out in nature. The lodge is also very close to the trail of 100 giants and many other great hikes in the Sequoia National Forest. Highly recommend for families, couples or solo travelers.

Property is located between downtown Kernville and Land of 100 Giants trail. Allow at least 20-25 min to get into town, longer if you are behind a slow driver. I booked two massages on the website and did not notice the hotel has two locations: Kernville & Julian. The Kernville location does not have all the amenities (like a massage) offered at Julian. Note this when making your reservation. We had two spiders in the room, to be expected in a mountain area. The WiFi was spotty, no cell service until you hit town. Our room (#1) was right below the common area where breakfast is served, each morning around 8A we would stary to hear the footsteps and creaking of floor boards. No AC in the room and the ceiling fan was very loud. The room worked to sleep but was not a place I'd hang out in mostly because it was hot. Amber & Adam were very nice.

I loved my stay here. The clawfoot tub was amazing. My only feedback is I wish there was a table near the door, there wasn’t anywhere to put my luggage other than the floor. Also a mat on the inside near the door would be helpful, it was pouring rain during my stay and I needed a place to put my wet boots. Other than that, very peaceful location and a kind and helpful manager.

We were given a room half the size of the one we booked due to renovations. It also had no kitchen as pictured and therefore had to round trip drive and hour to eat. We were messaged to say the address is not correct and the drive was further and that there was a road closure which meant we had to leave Yosemite earlier than we had planned. We were also emailed and saw the day before our stay to say our booking was cancelled and we could stay in San Diego instead but were not offered a refund however was then told our booking was not cancelled and our room was not affected. The room we were given is not in the photos provided and has a view of a metal staircase. We stayed here for the 100 giant sequoias and springs both of which were closed (outside of hotels control but not informed) and the teacups hike we did do instead was underwhelming. Of the six hotels we stayed on this trip this is the only one we were unhappy with and ironically the least quiet of them all.

The location/setting is beautiful. It is a quiet retreat and a great place to stop on a journey through Sequoia National forest. Adam is really welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was good. Great value for money and highly recommended

What it states on the website is a lie. You won’t see Sequoias at all if you stay here at Quiet Mind. You will be deeply disappointed. Winter heating doesn’t work. Room felt like an ice box. Staff seemed clueless. There is no zen atmosphere. Property run down. I booked 3 night but escaped early the next morning after only one night. I didn’t want to waste the valuable vacation time I had. They also won’t give a refund . Not a good place to stay. They need to shut down or pour more funds into improving and they need to tell the truth on their website the realities rather than being deceiving.

My wife and I rented a 2 night stay for Valentine’s Day thinking there was a masseuse let alone spa. When we arrived there was no masseuse or spa as they advertised. They take advantage of the distance from town and over charge their food 3 times it’s worth! We didn’t even stay because the whole place was bait n switch let alone false advertising! When we asked for a refund they said go through Expedia then they never responded to Expedia or the emails Expedia send requesting the refund! This place is a huge scam. Like I told Expedia, I will remove my bad reviews once they refund my money! It’s been over 2 weeks and we will escalate this until we get our money back!

We had a few minor issues with this property (distance to town, checking in, a cleanliness). But, these issues were minor compared to the stuff that was really amazing! Their manager, Adam, was so pleasant and kind and responsive! It felt like visiting with a really good friend. The grounds of the property are so beautiful-truly incredible. There are also several really nice out door seating areas! The complimentary breakfast was yummy. This place would make an ideal weekend escape. I want to visit again. Thank you.

Such a cute place to stay! Absolutely stunning views of the river & overall beautiful scenery. The breakfast was fantastic & enjoying the river by the jacuzzi, it really doesn’t get better. Vintage vibes throughout. Shout out to the awesome staff!! Delaney, John, Eric, & Shane definitely care about the guests & take great care of the property & it shows. Heads up- google maps took me to an incorrect location at first, so if you get taken to a camp sight incorrectly, travel about 30 minutes higher up the mountains. (Hotel is located about 20 mins past McNallys steakhouse if you need a landmark ) thanks for the great visit, will definitely come again!

We originally went up to see the giant sequoias but we didn’t know that during the winter most roads are closed and you can’t get to them. What started as a disappointing trip quickly turned around! Adam our host was not only accommodating in every single way but luck was also on our side and we got to see it snow enough to build a snowman (something I’ve been secretly wanting to do since I was a kid) We also went to Remington hot springs for a day which although was an hour away was well worth it. Definitely will be coming back when the snow melts!

The place was very nice and the staff very welcoming and helpful. Nice facilities, great breakfast and beautiful locations along the river. Two negative points: The directions on Expedia are wrong and it took us an extra 40 minutes to reach the place, almost missing the check-in deadline and causing us to partially reschedule our rest of the trip. Second, possibly because of the season, a big quantities of flies were infesting the place making walking outside not so pleasant.

The property has potential. Upon arrival there was electrical issues the mini split heater was broken and never repaired the remainder of the stay a small space heater was provided. There was no hot water the first night it came on in the morning for about an hour then off again we notified the front desk and left for the day when we came back it was still off and I had to tell them again no hot water. It was remedied but the following morning the water was very brown and unusable so we just left. 473 dollars down the drain. Also the pin they have on the maps is so wrong. The property is about 40 minutes from Kernville not 6 like the pin will tell you.

It was a great and quiet time away from the city. I appreciate that it was a little bit of a drive to get to anywhere (20-25 minutes). We were relaxed.

Such a cute place to stay! Absolutely stunning views of the river & overall beautiful scenery. The breakfast was fantastic & enjoying the river by the jacuzzi, it really doesn’t get better. Vintage vibes throughout. Shout out to the awesome staff!! Delaney, John, Eric, & Shane definitely care about the guests & take great care of the property & it shows. Heads up- google maps took me to an incorrect location at first, so if you get taken to a camp sight incorrectly, travel about 30 minutes higher up the mountains. (Hotel is located about 20 mins past McNallys steakhouse if you need a landmark ) thanks for the great visit, will definitely come again!

A lovely peaceful and relaxing stay. Adam our host, was super friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and overlooking the river behind the property. There wasn’t any phone signal in the mountains but there was free Wi-Fi to use. There was also complimentary breakfast served in the mornings which was great. Myself and my husband will definitely be returning in the future.

My partner and I enjoyed our stay. The room we stayed at was cozy and no television. A sign to “quiet the mind”. The property is beautiful and a serene sound of the river. Adam our host was awesome. And breakfast prepared by hi. Was phenomenal. We look forward to staying here again and try for a spring/summer getaway. If you are looking for quiet, and technology detox, this is the place.

Staff was great. Food prepared onsite and was excellent. Very quiet and peaceful with sounds of running stream right next to building. Highly recommend. Closest town, Kernville was about 25 minute drive down into the valley floor.

AMAZING experience! I can’t wait to plan my return. This place is so special and cozy. I literally didn’t want to leave when it was time for checkout. I enjoyed the vibe both employees gave off and found them enjoyable to chat with. Even the free breakfast wowed both my partner and I. There’s also an app you have access to during your stay with meditations for sleep. Mini bar is impressive too. One more side note-the massage chair was the cherry on top for me.

The rooms were cute! The property is nice but needs some upkeep and landscaping. The creek and waterfall is such a selling point but there is no direct access. Staff was friendly. Food was amazing.

Such a wonderful, relaxing property with top notch staff. Hiked to all the waterfalls on property, enjoyed the in-room tub, the included breakfasts were convenient and really tasty, and driving to local hikes and Kernville was super easy. Nice way to unplug, but still have great amenities. Loved it!

We had a few minor issues with this property (distance to town, checking in, a cleanliness). But, these issues were minor compared to the stuff that was really amazing! Their manager, Adam, was so pleasant and kind and responsive! It felt like visiting with a really good friend. The grounds of the property are so beautiful-truly incredible. There are also several really nice out door seating areas! The complimentary breakfast was yummy. This place would make an ideal weekend escape. I want to visit again. Thank you.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our 7-year anniversary and my 27th birthday, and it was such a beautiful experience! The location is absolutely stunning — peaceful, serene, and right next to the river, which made it feel like a true escape into nature. The location/setting is beautiful. It is a quiet retreat and a great place to stop on a journey through Sequoia National forest. Adam is really welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was good. Great value for money and highly recommended

After deliberating for a little while between giving this place a 6/10 and a 10/10, I settled on 10. I have never had so many opinions about a place before or written such a long review! But let me begin: The place seems like it attracts two kinds of people. People who are just passing through and need a place to stay for a night (which is who I’d strongly recommend the place to and why I gave it a 10/10, and those looking for what it claims to be - a wellness center/spa. As a simple no-frills lodge, it’s wonderful. Rooms are clean enough, cozy, right on the way to the Sequoias. The staff, as I will touch on, are an absolute pleasure and go above and beyond to help. We’ve paid more for far less cozy places. As a place that claims to have various amenities, it’s an abject failure and frankly, deceitful. This is absolutely no fault of any of the staff. They are clearly overworked, overwhelmed, and I would assume underpaid. For instance, one employee doing housekeeping, is also on yard work, while also doing evening check-ins, while also making dinner for everyone staying there. How on earth is that supposed to work?! Of course things will slip through the cracks when they’re all pushed that far. As someone who is pursuing a doctorate in Buddhist Studies, this place was especially disappointing due to its potential as a genuine place for people to relax and get a tiny dose of spirituality.
