OYO Hotel Irving DFW Airport North

Place was a dump. Elevator doors didn't close all the way, no air in the elevator so it felt like an oven even at 10pm. The room felt like a cave. The light in the kitchen didn't work at all nor did the one in the bathroom. The door is less than a foot from the toilet. Someone at one point had kicked in the door. They repaired it with wood glue, there weren't even any nails or screws. Roaches on the wall. And they had some burn barrels outside with what looks like grills over them in the parking lot. We didn't feel safe here at all. We spent the night and bolted the next morning.

Parking was cool. The floors was nasty and had little roaches. Never going back!

There was nothing good about this property. To start, the photos that I saw online for the room I rented had nothing to do with the room I got. When I went in the room (Room 303), there was no power, and the phone and tv didn’t work. We went to the front desk and requested another room and they told me that there were no other rooms, that we had taken the last room. They said they would send maintenance, but my guest and I were already upset, and I also saw maintenance moving furniture from another room into Room 303, so we went ahead and got a room upgrade. When we arrived at our new room (Room 219), there was power, but none of the amenities that the upgrade included worked. The bathroom door was broken, it took 4-5 tries just to close it. The dresser was also broken, we were only able to use the first one since the bottom two were stuck, and the first one didn’t close all the way. The coffee maker didn’t work, and the stove was missing both handles, so we weren’t even able to use it. The cups provided to us in the property were dirty and dusty. The water that came out of the kitchen sink had a weird smell to it and the entire property smelled weird. The phone cable was disconnected and didn’t work even when reconnected. There were no blankets in the room, and when we asked the front desk, they said that someone else had taken the last one. There were also no hangers in the room. And there were roaches all over the property. There was also construction in the parking lot.

This place is not anything like the pictures that it shows on Hotels.com. It’s false advertisement. It looks like a ran down, trashy hotel. There were stains on the ceilings on the walls. There was a spot that looks like someone smashed a bug on the wall and never wiped it off. There were holes in the wall from the doors, hitting the walls plus other spots on the walls had little holes here and there dented in throughout the room. There were blood stains and burn holes on our comforter. The wall had white paint blotches all over it. It looks like it wasn’t finished or presentable for guests. The curtains were tore up looking and hanging off the rod that it was on. We weren’t able to close the window curtains all the way for privacy. The kitchen was wiped down, but it looked trashy with the bad paint jobs on the cabinets. There was no furniture couches table chairs, anything in the living room area. The only furniture was the bed in the bedroom and I think one dresser and a nightstand. Overall, it was a terrible room. Not something you would expect based off of the pictures that were online. Checked in and went to check out my room, and the second I saw all of that I went back downstairs and told the front desk that I wanted a refund. He told me he would put me in another room and I could check it if I wanted to. I told him no because I didn’t want to stay there being unsure about the cleanliness of the hotel. I don’t think their standards are very high. ZERO STARS !!!

There were cockroaches all over the place.

It smelled terrible in the room. Took 20 minutes to check in because the front desm person was gone. We didnt even stay for 10 minutes. Checked out, ate the cancelation fee, and went down the road to something nicer.

The room was disgusting, with cockroaches in the kitchen and bathroom. The WiFi was terrible and the tv didn’t work. Absolutely horrible property

This place is gross don't stay here. Roaches everywhere and dirty been sheets. I have pictures to prove it.

I have traveled nationally and internationally. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. We booked the motel last minute due to weather issues in Dallas. The photos looked like the place was updated and clean. This, however, was not the case. We walked into the room, turned on the lights, and found cockroaches on the walls and dead ones on the floor. Completely unsanitary. I immediately marched back to the lobby and demanded a refund. However, that refund process has also been a nightmare as the refund receipt is through a third party. The motel keeps telling me that they immediately processed the refund. However, Hotels.com has been unable to reach the hotel manager. It's not about the money. It is the principle of the thing. I have never had issues with Hotels.com, so I'm placing the blame on this motel. Would NOT recommend. Get a room at the Holiday Inn instead.

The first room reeked of marijuana and the air conditioning didn't work. The second room was okay but there were no extras like shampoo or hair dryer, etc.

The outside of the property seem so run down and unsafe and the inside is old and smelly. The ac runs loudly throughout the night and adding that to freeway noise is a very loud room and i barely slept. I had ti go to Walmart and buy room freshener just to help with the smell. Overall i was disappointed with myself for booking this place.

It was good, nice room. Air conditioner beds nice.

It was ver clean and simple. Only problem was the bed. Very uncomfortable. Other than that, the price was right and very quiet.

Check-in was smooth and efficient. The room I was originally assigned had a few maintenance issues, but the staff handled it impressively fast. I was quickly relocated to a new room without hassle. Great customer service and quick problem-solving made the experience a positive one!

Dirty. Staff mean. Doors and locks broken

When I walked into my room it smelled of mildew. Young brown Cockroaches in the room. Water temperature was horrible, manager said he would move us if the water guy didn’t come the next day and never moved us. The manager on site on the first night was horrible and rude. So many things went wrong and unfortunately I relocated 16 hours away for them to say, “the room in the pictures are not at this site at all”.

it was safe/quiet

Great location

There were roaches in the kitchen and bath. The spread on the extra- hard mattress was as thin and worn as the sheets. Wall paint was patched and splotchy. There was no nearby place to dine.
