Very clean and the people are extremely nice. Our hair dryer did not work in our room but the room overall was very clean. We could not use the pool at the hotel (having work done on it or something, not sure) and found out as we were leaving that we were allowed to use the pool and the hot tub next door and nobody told us that when we checked in

The bed was comfortable and no bugs. The pool was out of order and overgrown, weeds were getting out of control outside. The shower floor was patched unprofessionally and painted ( paint was peeling); towel racks were rusty; there was a line of fuzz and dirt around the room at the baseboard.

The bed was so comfortable. I even looked to see what company made it. The towels, wash clothes and hand towels were so soft. The food was great. Staff was so helpful. The outside pool was closed but they sent us next door to Comfort Inn for their inside hot tub and pool. The only down side was the carpet in the room was old and needs to replace with flooring that is not carpet. The outside of the hotel was nice but the side walk could have been clearer. Over all it was a good one night stay.

Our unit was cool. However the shower had a round brown thing over the drain. I gagged and didn't shower. Mirror had water spots. Tv didn't work. (They did change out the tv). This morning at 6am we were awakened with multiple people filling up from ice machine. We will not be back. I did report to manager and they apologized.

We chose Clarion based on Choice Hotel reputation. It is a very poor run down site. We were extremely disappointed. The first room had water on floor and rusty shower pan. The second room's tub was pitted and looked like mold had been in it. Neither of us showered because of the poor condition of the tub. The breakfast bar only had water and coffee to drink. The food didn't look fresh. The hotel entrance had a broken front door, the snack case was empty, and drink refrigerator was empty. There was a sign saying to not operate the waffle maker and micro at the same time.

Room stunk beds had been sat on ofter they had been made up curtains were torn off of the rod and wouldn't close and bathroom light would only come on with a fan that was to loud to talk over and when the light did come on it would flash on an off like most of their outside lights did.

Location and staff were great, but the room was terrible. There was mold in the shower and all over the bathroom walls and ceiling, the bed was made but when I lifted the comforter the sheets hadn't been changed. Also, as a solo female traveler, I had a concer with the door's peep-hole, it was scratched with something sharp from the outside, I would imagine possibly a knife or key. This is not only inconvenient but potentially dangerous.

The girl who check us in was sweet and kind. The hotel room however was disgusting. Smelled like smoke. Had stuff all over the bed skirt. The bathroom didn’t look clean. The carpet was filthy. Even had what appeared to be dog food on it. Something was on the lampshade that looked like blood. The tv was filthy. We couldn’t stay. We left. Probably never get my money back.

Disgusting! Do not stay here because it is a health and safety issue. It was abundantly clear our room had not been cleaned prior to our arrival (except perhaps and hopefully the sheets had been changed). There were dirty and concerning items under each bed. It appeared to be a dirty washcloth and someone’s underwear. The most disturbing and concerning part was what appeared to be blood on the outside the bathtub. The inside shower walls were covered with dirty that I could wipe off with just my finger so clearly no one had cleaned the shower before our arrival. I had already lowered my expectations because of staying in a motel but this wasn’t acceptable under any circumstances or for anyone. Completely unacceptable.

Room looked nothing like the photos. Very old and dingy. Several dead bugs on the floor. The worst part was the curtains, the black out curtains only cover a quarter of the window on both sides. The middle part is see through sheer curtain anybody walking by can clearly see into any room they want to! I had to use a clippy clothes hanger to sort of close them. Also access to the rooms are outside doors, doesnt feel very safe for a single traveler.The staff was nice but I wouldnt stay here again.

The lobby is updated and looks new, too bad the rooms definitely aren’t. The bed was comfortable. The heater was squealing every time it kicked on. I bought ear plugs so I could sleep. The bathroom area needs updating and so does the carpet. I don’t know how this hotel has such a high rating. The staff were friendly. This was our second time staying here and our last.

The internet wouldn’t work which I really needed for I had work that needed to be done and I could use my phone because service was awful. They really should work on the updating there internet though because it didn’t work at all the whole 3 days we were there

Very large room and comfy. Check in was easy, friendly and informative. Room was clean. Bed was great! Property is near train trqcks and I did hear trains through the night but it wasn’t disturbing. TV lost signal during strong thunderstorm (right overhead and LOUD!) but not for long. Pet friendly and there’s a nice trail behind the parking lot.

Staff was amazing, we were a late check-in and it was effortlessly handled. Room was clean and presentable.Check-out was a breeze. Only drawbacks were an issue hooking up to the Wi-Fi, room phone didn’t work, and the commode constantly ran unless you played with the handle. But these were minor inconveniences that didn’t reall effect the stay

Appeaes that they're leaning towards long term stays vs travellers. No one working the lobby overnight. Fire alarm went off. Not one person cane to check and see if rooms were clear. They may have known it was a false alarm but it would have made me feel better about it if they had shown a little concern

This was the worst hotel that I've ever stayed in. The pictures on Expedia are so photoshopped. I will never use Expedia to book anything ever again. My room was filthy and the front desk staff was rude and ignored you. Men drank outside all night long and I didn't feel safe.

I had the opportunity to interact with 3 different staff on my stay. Each one took personal attention to me and helped resolve my problem in a way they knew the issues were solved. The staff I met around 230pm and then 2 others around 1030pm or so totally made my trip. It was a disaster of a day for me and thy helped me tremendously.

Front desk staff were not very nice. I was directed to park in one direction and because we were told that was where our room was and it was in the opposite direction right by the front door. No towels in our room so that was not pleasant and when I called I was informed that they had no staff to bring them even though I saw several staff there to do just that. We were charged extra for our dog but it wasn’t mentioned when we checked in nor was it on the website where I booked. I felt the staff could care less about us and cared more about their cell phones. My original post was denied so I had to revise this but I’d say stay here but make sure you have towels before you shower. Nobody will bring them.

Came in half hour early. Asked politely if we could come in early. Without even looking at me i was told no and ordered to back later. Asked for a bathroom and he didnt even answer me, the cleaner did though. Went to the bathroom and without a doubt it was the worst 😫. Turned around and left. Didn't stay either. Horrible

Came in half hour early. Asked politely if we could come in early. Without even looking at me i was told no and ordered to back later. Asked for a bathroom and he didnt even answer me, the cleaner did though. Went to the bathroom and without a doubt it was the worst 😫. Turned around and left. Didn't stay either. Horrible

I was annoyed last night when the lights over the bathroom sink in my room did not work. I was surprised this afternoon, several hours after check out, when I received a phone call from a member of the hotel staff who rudely accused me of stealing the light bulbs. A $20 charge by the hotel is currently pending on my credit card account. If it is not removed, I will dispute it.

Staff was amazing, we were a late check-in and it was effortlessly handled. Room was clean and presentable.Check-out was a breeze. Only drawbacks were an issue hooking up to the Wi-Fi, room phone didn’t work, and the commode constantly ran unless you played with the handle. But these were minor inconveniences that didn’t reall effect the stay

Very large room and comfy. Check in was easy, friendly and informative. Room was clean. Bed was great! Property is near train trqcks and I did hear trains through the night but it wasn’t disturbing. TV lost signal during strong thunderstorm (right overhead and LOUD!) but not for long. Pet friendly and there’s a nice trail behind the parking lot.

This hotel was in town in a good location, yet it was quiet like it was in the country. From the hotel you can see a water tower and grain silos. The room was basic and clean. Breakfast was worth coming down for. Hot water flow and pressure is among the highest I’ve ever seen. Was cheap. Would come back.

I love how quaint and quiet it was. The breakfast was amazing. The only thing I wish was that the pool wasn’t open. Everything else was completely wonderful.

The room was not good overall. Lights didn’t work, ceiling had water leak marks. The beds were comfortable and nice. Breakfast was so so as they didn’t have stock of several things due to the holidays and companies closed. The attendant for breakfast truely made the stay worthwhile. She was extra special kind to our kids. Sometimes that helps made everything better.

Front desk girl was very pleasant and breakfast lady was so nice- the breakfast was really good! Eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy. The beds are comfortable, room was clean all for a great price!

We chose Clarion based on Choice Hotel reputation. It is a very poor run down site. We were extremely disappointed. The first room had water on floor and rusty shower pan. The second room's tub was pitted and looked like mold had been in it. Neither of us showered because of the poor condition of the tub. The breakfast bar only had water and coffee to drink. The food didn't look fresh. The hotel entrance had a broken front door, the snack case was empty, and drink refrigerator was empty. There was a sign saying to not operate the waffle maker and micro at the same time.

Just an old worn out motel. First the good: hot shower, very helpful and pleasant front desk employees, great coffee in the mornings. Now some of the not so goods: the deodorizer (carpet?) used in the room was horrendous and overpowering. After a few hours me, my hair, my clothes, my suitcase, my Chick-fil-A sandwich… everything was permeated by it. Shower rod was broke allowing 2/3 of the shower curtain to be open, tv was unplugged because that was the only way to turn it off, no drain plug for the tub but I realized during my (quick) shower that it drained so slow that it was self plugging, main door didn’t close tight allowing light to come in around it, loud people outside all night long, garbage truck came about 3:30am and emptied the dumpster and sounded like a bomb with aftershocks. There’s more but that’s probably enough. Was I disgusted? No. Was I glad to leave after 2 nights? YES!

The front desk was amazing upon arrival and helped us find 2 excellent choices for dinner. They were also helpful and greeted us as we entered and exited during the days and evenings. Breakfast was warm and well stocked every morning The room was clean and cozy

My son and I did check in, the lady at the front desk was super sweet! On the way to the room we noticed several people loitering outside of their rooms. One guy was in his boxer shorts and had his chair propped up at the door smoking a cigarette, we had to squeeze by him to get to our room. Get to our room and the door is very bent up like it had been kicked in. Walk in, it reeks of weed! After several minutes I start coughing because I apparently cannot handle it. My son said he started to get a headache. So we called downstairs and told the lady we would like a refund, she did offer to switch rooms but I advised I did not feel safe there with my son and requested a refund. She advised that was fine and the lady was not there that could approve it. Needless to say after several days Hotels.com says the owner denied my refund. Prior to that decision I had spoken to Lynn who said they took care of their part for my refund and I spoke to the brother of the owner who also said he would take care of it. So either hotels.com doesn’t want to do their part to reach the hotel or the owner desperately needs that $56.04. Be cautious if booking this property online! Go in person and see if this is a place for you!
