It was a great stay, the staff were very friendly, the pool and gardens were attractive and well kept. Playa del Maro beach is a hidden gem and about half hours walk, and the caves are 200m away from the hotel, both a must visit. I felt very chilled out staying there. Big thank you to the staff.

Cet hôtel est situé à proximité immédiate des grottes de Nerja. C'est un hôtel familial simple, sans prétention, mais aux chambres agréables et confortables et au rapport qualité-prix tout a fait correct. Le petit déjeuner est complet. Bien que situé à proximité de l'autoroute, les chambres sont bien insonorisée, grâce à un petit salon, bien agréable, entre la chambre et le balcon. L'hôtel dispose d'un grand parking.

Hotellrummet hade en gigantisk säng som var skön att sova i men den inkräktade på möjligheten att komma in i garderoben som var belamrad med reservtäcken och kuddar, vilka borde få en plats i slåp över garderobskåpet eller i förråd. Duschrummet var felplanerat så det fanns bara en smal duschplats med öppen framsida. Förslag: ersätt bidén med en bide dusch för toalettstolen Flytta toaletten och montera en 90x90 dusch med dörr. Bidén läckte i bakkanten. Tvättställsblandaren var ej fastmonterad. Utomhus: poolen grön. Förslag: täck över poolen när det är vinter så kommer inget ljus in och polen är ren när täckningen tas bort. Trädgården var stor med mycket växtlighet men en plattsatt hörna för solstolarna saknades och användes som förråd. Läget var utanför alla aktiviteter i Nerja så bil erfordrades och det var bra parkeringsmöjligheter på hotellet.

Hotellet personale var supersød da jeg havde booket 10 minutter før jeg kom og det var ingen problem jeg fik det dejligste rum super lækker seng at sove i,& med en kæmpe altan med kig ud over Bjergene og lidt af vandet selvom der kørte biler imellem vandet og bjergene var det ikke noget der generet mig på noget tidspunkt. Jeg nåede ikke at spise dig med det så meget lækkert ud og super hyggeligt poolen var ikke åbnet da jeg var der så jeg tog bare ned til stranden der lå 7 minutter i bilen fra hotellet.

Of all the hotels in the Nerja/Maro area, Hotel Al Andalus remains my favourite. It's friendly, a good price, very clean, comfortable, and with nice large bath towels. As a female solo traveller safety is a priority and this hotel ticks all my boxes. Not to be missed is the dining experience. Menu of the day for lunch, or a la carte menu for dinner. Both reasonably priced. In the warm westher the outside patio is so pretty with mountain views in one direction and seaview in the other. This trip was no exception and i dined outside in the early evening enjoying one of the BEST fish soups i have ever tasted, followed by cod Mediterranean style. Both dishes were delicious. Compliments to the chef! Parking is in front of the hotel and is free and private. I left very early so had no opportunity to enjoy the breakfast, but from previous experience can attest to it's deliciousness. I look forward to my next visit.

The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the caves and has ample free parking, although it's about a 15 minute drive from the town centre (Euros 10 by taxi each way). There is a good restaurant and large bar with a terrace and a swimming pool when weather permits. The room was simply furnished, but quite large, and equipped with a TV and refrigerator, although it lacked a room-safe and we had problems with the aircon, which could be an issue in summer. The hotel is nearby the motorway, so traffic noise may be an issue. Staff were friendly and helpful. A very good value hotel and highly recommended for those visiting the caves, although not convenient for the town centre/seafront.

This hotel is perfectly placed for visits to the Caves of Nerja. It has adequate free parking and is only 2 or three miles from beautiful Nerja and numerous beaches. The room was spacious and clean. The furnishings were adequate. The en-suite was "tired" and there was some mould in the shower area. However, for the price - in Nerja and at Easter - the hotel was exceptional value. We did not eat there - but the food looked OK and the food and drink prices incredibly low! About £1.15 for a large whit coffee puts our UK hotels and coffee shops to shame!!

Ni bien llegar al recibirnos de pocas ganas, la habitación normal,el baño tenía mal olor y y no muy limpios , de los días que estuvimos la de limpieza jamás entró a limpiar hasta que nos fuimos con las mismas toallas y sábanas. El personal cero atento sentados fumando cuando los clientes están sentados en la terraza. Mala atención ya que cuando te atienden en la mesa cuando se le da la gana y de mala gana. No la verdad no recomiendo y no volvería. Una pena porque podría ser mejor.

Hicimos el cheking a las 3 de la tarde aún Así tuvimos que esperar cerca de una Hora para la Habitación cuando nos entregan las llaves una habitación donde el aire estaba en otra estancia aparte una calor horrorosa , pedimos el cambio y esperamos otra hora para cambiarlo lo único bueno el camarero que era muy amable ,pero aquello no se debería de tratar ni como un hotel debería de ser un hostal las habitaciones llenas de suciedad el plato de ducha daba mucho asco con bichos moho y de todo no os lo recomiendo para nada todo horroroso

Clean but in need of a bit of tlc. Road noise from motorway when on balcony or if windows open. Comfy beds and having a fridge in the room was handy. Meals in the restaurant were a reasonable price.

Var på hotellet under 5-6 dagar och är överlag mycket nöjd med vistelsen. Rummet var rymligt och rent och plus var att det fanns en liten balkong. Frukosten var okej, hade gärna sett större utbud av grönsaker och ägg/bacon. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal som alltid fanns tillgänglig. Skulle verkligen rekommendera hotellet för andra för att vara ett tre stjärnigt hotell.

La chica de recepción muy simpática y cariñosa, el resto de personal no tuvimos trato con ellos como para poder opinar. La habitación era muy fea con las cortinas manchadas de lejía, la tapa de váter estaba manchada cuando le quitamos el precinto y el desagüe de la bañera no tiraba bien.

I did not like the staff. Some of them seemed very unfriendly and lazy! The bathroom in the room was awful. Shower and dryer didn’t work properly. The shower seemed dirty too. The location was awful! At least an hour of walking until you reach centrum of Nerja. The beds must be made out of stone, definitely the worst bed I’ve ever experienced. The lunch on the hotel was good and the balcony was nice tho

The property was in a nice area of Nerja, not far from downtown and the beaches. Overall, the property could use an update. The air conditioner was not working at first and then when it did it couldn’t be shut down for 3-4 days. They had no other room to move us to. The bathroom also needed an update. Overall, the hotel was pricey for the amenities and condition that it offered.

Duschrummet var felplanerat så det fanns bara en smal duschplats med öppen framsida. Förslag: ersätt bidén med en bide dusch för toalettstolen Flytta toaletten och montera en 90x90 dusch med dörr. Bidén läckte i bakkanten. Tvättställsblandaren var ej fastmonterad. Utomhus: poolen grön. Förslag: täck över poolen när det är vinter så kommer inget ljus in och polen är ren när täckningen tas bort. Trädgården var stor med mycket växtlighet men en plattsatt hörna för solstolarna saknades och användes som förråd. Läget var utanför alla aktiviteter i Nerja så bil erfordrades och det var bra parkeringsmöjligheter på hotellet.

The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the caves and has ample free parking, although it's about a 15 minute drive from the town centre (Euros 10 by taxi each way). There is a good restaurant and large bar with a terrace and a swimming pool when weather permits. The room was simply furnished, but quite large, and equipped with a TV and refrigerator, although it lacked a room-safe and we had problems with the aircon, which could be an issue in summer. The hotel is nearby the motorway, so traffic noise may be an issue. Staff were friendly and helpful. Ni bien llegar al recibirnos de pocas ganas, la habitación normal,el baño tenía mal olor y y no muy limpios , de los días que estuvimos la de limpieza jamás entró a limpiar hasta que nos fuimos con las mismas toallas y sábanas. El personal cero atento sentados fumando cuando los clientes están sentados en la terraza. Mala atención ya que cuando te atienden en la mesa cuando se le da la gana y de mala gana. No la verdad no recomiendo y no volvería. Una pena porque podría ser mejor.

It was a great stay, the staff were very friendly, the pool and gardens were attractive and well kept. Playa del Maro beach is a hidden gem and about half hours walk, and the caves are 200m away from the hotel, both a must visit. I felt very chilled out staying there. Big thank you to the staff.

Hotel bien ubicado, tranquilo, las habitaciones no son muy grandes pero son cómodas. Lo único malo es el restaurante que tarda mucho en el servicio al mediodía aunque el personal es atento y alegre. I stayed at this hotel and unfortunately my experience wasn’t very positive. The place feels more like a motel than a proper hotel. The air conditioning didn’t work properly, which made the stay uncomfortable. The staff service could be much better. With the exception of one gentleman who was kind and helpful, the rest of the (female) staff were quite dismissive when I asked for assistance. Also, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families with children. The pool area is treated as a quiet space and swimming is actually forbidden, which defeats the purpose if you’re traveling with kids. Overall, I would only recommend this hotel for a quick overnight stop, but definitely not for a weekend stay.

This was the worst hotel . The staff from Beginning to the end were not friendly , didn’t have a smile and didn’t want to answer any of our questions ie / the town etc. we were not welcomed and when we asked to borrow a plate and knife to cut our bread for groceries - the bartender dismissed , scowled and said something in Spanish . Overall not recommended .i would give 0 rating if i could . The town was lovely and the beach was great - but this hotel - DO NOT BOOK

Nuestra habitación era estupenda, muy limpia, con un bonito salón y una terraza muy amplía. El desayuno muy bueno con un pan crujiente magnífico. La verdad que mi pareja y yo nos sentimos muy cómodos y nos trataron con mucha amabilidad. A dos pasos de las Cuevas de Nerja que también visitamos. Repartiría sin dudarlo.

Para el precio no estaba mal solo pasamos una noche ya que íbamos de pasada y necesitamos descansar pero el personal muy mala reacción al decirle que si nos hacía el favor de mostrar la habitación ya que en otras ocasiones nos ha pasado que en la foto se ve de una forma y en la realidad es otra no se si sea algo cultural pero como irónica y burlesca

We arrived 4 1/2 hours later than planed in the early hours of the morning. The night porter checked us in and was very pleasant and helpful. There was no hot water in the room in the morning but this was because we had a really bad storm during the night which had affected the electricity supply . The lady on reception explained and apologised for the situation and as we live n Spain we know that this sometimes happens. We were given complimentary coffee in the breakfast room which was a nice touch . Overall this hotel is fine for an overnight stay or maybe a couple of nights but due to its location, in my opinion it would not be suitable for a holiday. If I needed somewhere to stay overnight in this area I would certainly return and hope not to get a massive storm overnight again .

Hotellet personale var supersød da jeg havde booket 10 minutter før jeg kom og det var ingen problem jeg fik det dejligste rum super lækker seng at sove i,& med en kæmpe altan med kig ud over Bjergene og lidt af vandet selvom der kørte biler imellem vandet og bjergene var det ikke noget der generet mig på noget tidspunkt. Jeg nåede ikke at spise dig med det så meget lækkert ud og super hyggeligt poolen var ikke åbnet da jeg var der så jeg tog bare ned til stranden der lå 7 minutter i bilen fra hotellet.

This hotel is perfectly placed for visits to the Caves of Nerja. It has adequate free parking and is only 2 or three miles from beautiful Nerja and numerous beaches. The room was spacious and clean. The furnishings were adequate. The en-suite was "tired" and there was some mould in the shower area. However, for the price - in Nerja and at Easter - the hotel was exceptional value. We did not eat there - but the food looked OK and the food and drink prices incredibly low! About £1.15 for a large whit coffee puts our UK hotels and coffee shops to shame!!

I did not like the staff. Some of them seemed very unfriendly and lazy! The bathroom in the room was awful. Shower and dryer didn’t work properly. The shower seemed dirty too. The location was awful! At least an hour of walking until you reach centrum of Nerja. The beds must be made out of stone, definitely the worst bed I’ve ever experienced. The lunch on the hotel was good and the balcony was nice tho

Clean but in need of a bit of tlc. Road noise from motorway when on balcony or if windows open. Comfy beds and having a fridge in the room was handy. Meals in the restaurant were a reasonable price.

En general el hotel está bien, nada excelente, el colchón si era demasiado blando y eso no me dejó descansar bien tuvimos un problema en el desayuno q no teníamos contratado bufet, quisimos desayunar, pagando claro, y nos dieron q escoguiesemos algo del bufet, cual fue nuestra sorpresa cuando nos cobraron mucho más que si hubiésemos pagado el bufet, 5,20€ por café y bollo a cada uno y el bufet por persona a comer lo q diese el gusto costaba 4,35€, decidimos no desayunar más allí por eso, fuimos a un hotel de al lado que por un café y una Viena nos cobraron 3,90€
En general el hotel está bien, nada excelente, el colchón si era demasiado blando y eso no me dejó descansar bien tuvimos un problema en el desayuno q no teníamos contratado bufet, quisimos desayunar, pagando claro, y nos dieron q escoguiesemos algo del bufet, cual fue nuestra sorpresa cuando nos cobraron mucho más que si hubiésemos pagado el bufet, 5,20€ por café y bollo a cada uno y el bufet por persona a comer lo q diese el gusto costaba 4,35€, decidimos no desayunar más allí por eso, fuimos a un hotel de al lado que por un café y una Viena nos cobraron 3,90€

Of all the hotels in the Nerja/Maro area, Hotel Al Andalus remains my favourite. It's friendly, a good price, very clean, comfortable, and with nice large bath towels. As a female solo traveller safety is a priority and this hotel ticks all my boxes. Not to be missed is the dining experience. Menu of the day for lunch, or a la carte menu for dinner. Both reasonably priced. In the warm westher the outside patio is so pretty with mountain views in one direction and seaview in the other. This trip was no exception and i dined outside in the early evening enjoying one of the BEST fish soups i have ever tasted, followed by cod Mediterranean style. Both dishes were delicious. Compliments to the chef! Parking is in front of the hotel and is free and private. I left very early so had no opportunity to enjoy the breakfast, but from previous experience can attest to it's deliciousness. I look forward to my next visit.

The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the caves and has ample free parking, although it's about a 15 minute drive from the town centre (Euros 10 by taxi each way). There is a good restaurant and large bar with a terrace and a swimming pool when weather permits. The room was simply furnished, but quite large, and equipped with a TV and refrigerator, although it lacked a room-safe and we had problems with the aircon, which could be an issue in summer. The hotel is nearby the motorway, so traffic noise may be an issue. Staff were friendly and helpful. A very good value hotel and highly recommended for those visiting the caves, although not convenient for the town centre/seafront.

Var på hotellet under 5-6 dagar och är överlag mycket nöjd med vistelsen. Rummet var rymligt och rent och plus var att det fanns en liten balkong. Frukosten var okej, hade gärna sett större utbud av grönsaker och ägg/bacon. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal som alltid fanns tillgänglig. Skulle verkligen rekommendera hotellet för andra för att vara ett tre stjärnigt hotell.

Clean but in need of a bit of tlc. Road noise from motorway when on balcony or if windows open. Comfy beds and having a fridge in the room was handy. Meals in the restaurant were a reasonable price.
