Great hosts! The bed was very comfortable. Shower pressure is good. The grounds are lovely, the pool was always spotless and the area is quiet. You do need your own transport as it is a half hour drive from the center of Chiang Mai, but there is lots close by. Hang Dong is only a ten minute drive.

Nice owners and beautiful property but the rooms need work. Very little hot water. My shower was like warm at best. Paper thin walls. I heard every word the guy next to me said. At times it sounded like he was in my bathroom. Also on that note, the employees decided that 730am was a good time to sweep outside my door for 1 hour straight. Of course I heard every step and brissel on that broom. The rooms are old. Definitely need some serious updating. The bed is almost broken. I say that because the whole frame sifts when you get in. Could not figure out the TV. Other than that just like many back roads in Thailand it is very narrow so please be careful.

Located in Hang Dong, Rice Barn and Rooms is in a rural area. Kad Farang Village and Baan Tawai Village are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Ob Khan National Park and Doi Inthanon National Park. Grand Canyon Water Park and Chiang Mai Night Safari are not to be missed.
