I love this place! First time staying and it's perfect for a little tucked in get away with your love. Staff was friendly and wonderful, the facilities clean and lovely. They don't have an elevator, so if you can't do stairs, make note in your reservation. Bed so very comfortable. They have a full bar that I did not get a chance to sample - but I will be back and will do in a future stay.

Other than a couple of kind staff members, this place was a less than desirable experience. The pool handrail was loose to the point where one false move could've dislodged it. There was a step on the outside stairs that was nearly rusted through and was beginning to break. The shower and tub faucet need an upgrade as the faucet wouldnt fully turn off for the shower. The continental breakfast was not great, either. The trashcan was approaching overflow, the waffle iron was old and seemed hazardous to the unexperienced, the mystery juice was unlabled and definitely not orange juice. And lastly, a $75 deposit was taken out of my account under the pretense

Really cool old hotel just outside town. You can tell the owners care about the place and are in the process of restoring it. The area is very quiet and there was plenty of parking available.

The property was fine. There was no elevator to the second floor, and my 67 year mother was struggling with a foot injury. I had to carry our luggage upstairs for her. She has a hard time climbing up & down the staircase. At the time of booking my stay, part of what sold the property for me was the beautiful outdoor pool. Upon arrival, I realized the pool was closed for the summer due to the liner being ripped. I understand that things happen, but I would have loved an update about the property when that accrued. The pool is what I was most looking forward to.

We were here for a golf tournament for our daughter. The hotel we usually stay at was booked up so I took a chance on this one and I'm so glad I did because I won't go back to the other hotel. The staff was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was clean and nice. I enjoyed some drinks from the bar and we all enjoyed the pool. Traveling with a teenager, an 8 month old, and a large dog makes things interesting but our stay was so great. My only complaint would be that the outlets are scarce and a bit untrustworthy but other than that, my husband and I were very pleased.

For us, it was a little disappointing. Hotel needs a lot of work. Think they are trying to renovate but never saw anyone working. Just unfinished projects. Rarely someone at desk and must be short on help. Lots of multitasking. Breakfast just ok. No coffee in room. It was downstairs but sometimes not available. Had orange juice substitute. Kinda like Tang but not. No full length mirror in room or countertop in bathroom. Security chain lock on door put on backwards so worthless. The little things just add up. Ice bucket in room but no ice machine and if bar is closed then no ice. I take showers. Non-skid stuff on bathtub worn off. Had to be very careful. TV remote was fussy. Was going to check batteries. Battery lid was gone so they were taped in. When staff was there they were very nice and helpful! If you are just looking for one night or two even and don't care about amenities though, it's ok.

I’m originally from this area, so we come back semi-frequently to visit family, and we always stay here when we do. It’s always so well kept! The front desk staff are so kind and accommodating. The rooms are beautifully renovated, and the beds are really comfortable. You really can’t beat it, especially for the reasonable pricing.

Very nice hotel. In beautiful woodsy backdrop. Staff is super friendly. Woman in a.m. was going to whip up some eggs if we wanted (only 2 of us) but we had to get on the road. Rooms are pretty and simple. Beautiful dressers, 4 poster bed was very comfortable. No carpet in rooms - great choice! Hallway carpet is a bit yuck looking but I’ve seen worse. Newer owners have updated, remodeled I’m told. For what we paid I expected an older, dingy, smelly Days Inn-type hotel. This is not, it is much better.

The staff is exceptional. Everyone from the front desk staff to housekeeping is extraordinarily friendly and helpful. They make you feel right at home. The rooms are all upgraded, and cleanliness is their highest priority. Couldn't ask for a nicer hotel, especially for the price.

We had a four-poster king bed with an incredibly comfortable mattress. The room was clean and spacious. I loved having a sink in the bathroom and a sink and mirror combo in the main room. The lounge was two doors down from our room, but I only heard noise when someone was in the hallway. The best part of our four-day stay was the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We felt like friends invited to stay and not just guests to manage. I'm looking forward to staying here again.

Absolutely loved staying here!!! Our room was clean and well maintained and the staff was amazing. If you're looking for a clean room that's reasonably priced this is definitely the place to stay.

Beautiful location and nice room. Wonderfully friendly staff. However, in the room there was no stand to put suitcases on so had to put on floor and a shelf above closet rod’s would have been a great help. Not an huge deal by any means. The breakfast was very minimal with waffles, oatmeal, pastries, some fruit and yogurt. Our biggest complaint was the noise level. The bar and grill (which had very good food) was right outside the rooms. The people on the bar were very loud and no effort was made to quiet them.

Charming older hotel in great location if you are interested in recreation in the unique Carolina Sandhills (golf, horseback riding, hunting, birding). Price is reasonable and the staff are friendly. Air conditioning is via window units, which is adequate for temperature control. In the steamy North Carolina summer, however, the window units may not provide enough control of humidity. This is a problem with many older buildings in the Carolinas and not unique to this location.

Best breakfast ever, with a chef-prepared omelet and lots of choices. Shower needs a longer curtain to keep the floor from getting wet, but there are plenty of towels. Staff was welcoming and helpful.

When you pull into the Inn, you would have higher expectations as it has the potential look and feel to be really great. I don't want to be overly harsh, as it seems they are going through a renovation (face lift) to help upgrade the building itself. The lobby was well done, and classy but the room itself was very outdated. We had trouble getting our door to close properly from the outside of the room. The beds were very worn and in poor condition, needing to be replaced. The hallways were half painted and the floors were not, well anything. They were worn out needing an update also. The grounds around it could really be cleaned up as well. Not from a trash standpoint, but there was an abandoned golf course next door where that parking lot was now used by RVs and campers (assumedly to generate more income). Again not to be too critical, as this place has a ton of potential and in a great location for golfers visiting the Pinehurst area. I wouldn't deter anyone from staying here as it was quiet and safe, but for the price it could use more.

This was our second time staying here. First time was before the renovations and now after. The service we got from the front desk was okay. Not much was said and they failed to inform us that we didnt have access to the bar and grill due to an event. The rooms have been slightly updated but the bathroom was still out dated and rough. The shower had barely any water pressure. The door was hard to open and close and also very noisy. The trim was falling off all around it. Other than that, the room was clean ane comfortable. Definitely not bad for the price but could use improvement

1st check in was great, the girl who help us was super sweet, that being said rooms have paper thin walls we could hear everything!! We can tell it’s an older hotel & was recently renovated but the shower heads look OLD, pressure was crappy, now breakfast was 7-9am, we were told omelettes were 1st come 1st serve basis as eggs ran out and they said FAST, got up at 6:30 went down by 7:15 and they were just setting up. No problem I go back up stairs get changed etc etc go down by 8am still no sign of omelettes or waffle station being served, no one in sight, only juice, cereals and breads. At check out there was no one, we just walked out and dropped of the keys.

My main complaint is that it’s a pet friendly hotel which I’m totally fine with we are animal lovers, but the amount of dog poop around the property is gross. We were traveling with our children so they wanted to get out and play… and our first day there I stepped in a huge pile of poop. It’s all over the front grass area. Right along the road where you’d walk.. my other minor complaint is that there was no closet or anywhere to hang anything in our room. We had a very important event to attend that required us to dress up. We had nowhere to put the suits and dresses. Lastly, it’s advertised as a “hot breakfast”, the only thing they offered was waffles, mini bagels or toast that you make yourself. Thursday no breakfast was put out prior to 8:30am. The staff is very kind and friendly. The beds are extremely comfortable. The area is very quiet. My complaints I feel are minor but inconvenient and should be addressed to make future experiences better. I would still stay here when visiting the area.
My main complaint is that it’s a pet friendly hotel which I’m totally fine with we are animal lovers, but the amount of dog poop around the property is gross. We were traveling with our children so they wanted to get out and play… and our first day there I stepped in a huge pile of poop. It’s all over the front grass area. Right along the road where you’d walk.. my other minor complaint is that there was no closet or anywhere to hang anything in our room. We had a four-poster king bed with an incredibly comfortable mattress. The room was clean and spacious. I loved having a sink in the bathroom and a sink and mirror combo in the main room. The lounge was two doors down from our room, but I only heard noise when someone was in the hallway. The best part of our four-day stay was the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We felt like friends invited to stay and not just guests to manage. I'm looking forward to staying here again.

This is the worse hotel that I have ever stayed at. I was traveling with my 6 year old autistic son. I have to include the age of my child when I booked the room. The put us in the room right next to the bar. I complained about the noise and how loud it was at 9:30 because it was stressing my son out and he couldn’t sleep. They said that they would handle it. All they did was close the door. It was so loud that I could make out the entire conversations that people were having in the bar. This loudness continued until 1am. We got no sleep at all. We travel all the time and have never had an issue like this. I stressed to them at checkout how bad our night was and when the noise finally stopped. They said oh well and didn’t acknowledge any of it. I asked them why they would put someone with a 6 year old right next to the bar and I got the same response, oh well and no acknowledgment. The manager of the hotel wouldn’t even give us the time of day or talk to us at all. We were treated like we were a waste of time and we didn’t matter to them. In the end, they made it very clear that we didn’t matter to them. It was the worse customer service I have ever had. I do not ever recommend staying here, especially with kids. I love this place! First time staying and it's perfect for a little tucked in get away with your love. Staff was friendly and wonderful, the facilities clean and lovely. They don't have an elevator, so if you can't do stairs, make note in your reservation. Bed so very comfortable. They have a full bar that I did not get a chance to sample - but I will be back and will do in a future stay.

For us, it was a little disappointing. Hotel needs a lot of work. Think they are trying to renovate but never saw anyone working. Just unfinished projects. Rarely someone at desk and must be short on help. Lots of multitasking. Breakfast just ok. No coffee in room. It was downstairs but sometimes not available. Had orange juice substitute. Kinda like Tang but not. No full length mirror in room or countertop in bathroom. Security chain lock on door put on backwards so worthless. The little things just add up. Ice bucket in room but no ice machine and if bar is closed then no ice. I take showers. Non-skid stuff on bathtub worn off. Had to be very careful. TV remote was fussy. Was going to check batteries. Battery lid was gone so they were taped in. When staff was there they were very nice and helpful! If you are just looking for one night or two even and don't care about amenities though, it's ok.

I’m originally from this area, so we come back semi-frequently to visit family, and we always stay here when we do. It’s always so well kept! The front desk staff are so kind and accommodating. The rooms are beautifully renovated, and the beds are really comfortable. You really can’t beat it, especially for the reasonable pricing.

The staff was fantastic. The hotel is doing some renovations but the hotel is still very clean. The breakfast was really good, when I'm in the area again I would definitely stay there again.

Wish I could give a review without leaving a star. I arrived for check in at 7:00pm on October 25th only to be told they had double booked multiple rooms and mine was one of them. The woman at the front desk provided me no solution and I had to leave with no where to stay.

The front desk was unattended, and I waited ten minutes for someone to check us in. The complimentary breakfast also was pathetic, with all of the hot food (eggs and hash browns) gone and never to be replenished.

When you pull into the Inn, you would have higher expectations as it has the potential look and feel to be really great. I don't want to be overly harsh, as it seems they are going through a renovation (face lift) to help upgrade the building itself. The lobby was well done, and classy but the room itself was very outdated. We had trouble getting our door to close properly from the outside of the room. The beds were very worn and in poor condition, needing to be replaced. The hallways were half painted and the floors were not, well anything. They were worn out needing an update also. The grounds around it could really be cleaned up as well. Not from a trash standpoint, but there was an abandoned golf course next door where that parking lot was now used by RVs and campers (assumedly to generate more income). Again not to be too critical, as this place has a ton of potential and in a great location for golfers visiting the Pinehurst area. I wouldn't deter anyone from staying here as it was quiet and safe, but for the price it could use more.

My stay was great and very convenient to the Pinehurst area. Only reason for not being 5 stars was that clothes were found left behind in a dresser and housekeeping didn’t find them and remove them.

Really cool old hotel just outside town. You can tell the owners care about the place and are in the process of restoring it. The area is very quiet and there was plenty of parking available.

A decent enough motel, but had to travel through no civilization for about ten miles to get to it - kinda scary when traveling at night and alone. The room itself was okay - a bit outdated but you can tell they're trying to update. My door had a chain lock, but no place to actually put it, so again, I didn't feel very safe as a woman traveling alone. Hall was pretty loud in the morning with dogs barking and kids running.

Best breakfast ever, with a chef-prepared omelet and lots of choices. Shower needs a longer curtain to keep the floor from getting wet, but there are plenty of towels. Staff was welcoming and helpful.

Other than a couple of kind staff members, this place was a less than desirable experience. The pool handrail was loose to the point where one false move could've dislodged it. There was a step on the outside stairs that was nearly rusted through and was beginning to break. The shower and tub faucet need an upgrade as the faucet wouldnt fully turn off for the shower. The continental breakfast was not great, either. The trashcan was approaching overflow, the waffle iron was old and seemed hazardous to the unexperienced, the mystery juice was unlabled and definitely not orange juice. And lastly, a $75 deposit was taken out of my account under the pretense

Carolina Pine Inn was not only affordable, but absolutely beautiful! Everything we had at the restaurant was great, the bar had the best margaritas, and the staff were all super attentive. We will definitely visit again!

1st check in was great, the girl who help us was super sweet, that being said rooms have paper thin walls we could hear everything!! We can tell it’s an older hotel & was recently renovated but the shower heads look OLD, pressure was crappy, now breakfast was 7-9am, we were told omelettes were 1st come 1st serve basis as eggs ran out and they said FAST, got up at 6:30 went down by 7:15 and they were just setting up. No problem I go back up stairs get changed etc etc go down by 8am still no sign of omelettes or waffle station being served, no one in sight, only juice, cereals and breads. At check out there was no one, we just walked out and dropped of the keys.

I recently stayed at the Carolina Pines Inn for two nights on a visit with family. My destination was Rockingham, about 20 miles away. I did not book until the week before our trip and options there were limited and relatively expensive. So my search for options widened. Carolina Pines had good reviews, was reasonably priced and was the closest to Rockingham. I believe the Inn was built as a golf resort but has passed through several owners and functions as a hotel. There is an outdoor pool. All staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our two-queen bed option worked well for the three of us. The beds were extremely comfortable and we all slept well. The room appeared recently updated. The Inn sits well back from the highway, in the resort grounds, so is very quiet. There was a very nice continental breakfast option, with many choices. There is a small bar and grill open a few hours in the evening, a limited menu, I believe...I did not dine there. Not a lot of dining options in the immediate area, but there are many choices just a few (3-4) miles up the road at Southern PInes/Aberdeen. I would definitely stay here again.
