Super good value and extremely comfortable beds. Food in the pub was great and also good value and we all enjoyed breakfast- even my picky kids. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking.

Stayed in an accessible room which was very clean and spacious. Parking space right outside our room. Had a comfortable night and would definitely stay again when back up to visit friends.

Room was large and ideal for a wheelchair for accessibility plus a disabled parking space directly outside. Assistance dogs allowed too. Ate in the restaurant, food was really nice and breakfast too.

Best hotel around this area, food in restaurant is excellent at very reasonable prices. Beware - portion sizes are large. Staff are excellent and very friendly. I can’t fault the place!

Had a great one night stay at the Appleby Inn Hotel. All the staff we met were lovely, friendly and helpful. We didn't have an evening meal, but the breakfast (included in the room rate) was excellent, I ordered smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast and I have never seen so much smoked salmon on a breakfast plate! There is no lift and the stairs are quite steep, but our room was huge, we had a family room with a double bed and a single and both beds were comfortable. Next time I will book an accessible room (in a separate ground floor building) which has parking directly outside and no stairs to negotiate. Only gripe is the room lighting is rather harsh, a bedside lamp is needed or the wall light immediately over the beds needs to have a much lower power bulb. The bed and breakfast price we paid was very reasonable and I'd definitely stay there again.

We went as a family group using 2 room, i famoly room and 1 accessable both were really lovely with comfortable beds spotlessly clean. The accesssa room was particularly good. Which was outside with disabled parking outside the door and tge bathroom was lovely not at all clinicle looking. The breakfast was of really good quality and cooked perfectly. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

Only light and ventilation was a tiny window at the end of a corridor made by the en suite, the room had no decoration so with the lack of light resembled a cell. It was extremely clean however and breakfast was really good.

We stayed at the Appleby Hotel for one night when visiting family. The room was clean and had everything we needed. There was a good choice of food at breakfast and the staff were friendly. My only criticism was that our room was above the kitchen and there was some noise when going to bed. Overall a pleasant stay.

Bed wasn't particularly comfortable but maybe that was because we prefer Kingsize bed. Curtains do not cover the windows completely and allow light in from the car park lighting.

Room was recently refurbished and very clean. The bed was comfortable but the room was quite hot on our first night, with no Aircon or fan to cool it down. The hotel communal areas are a little dated but clean. The staff were great and breakfast is a nice addition. Location is also great, just a few mins from the M42.

Have stayed many times but this Tim Ed not so good! Insufficient towels in rooms for 2 Bed mattresses are shot z as nd past best Contacted food poisoning in restaurant but hard to prove! Initial treatment when reporting was poor management not on site! Child’s meals are way to big for 5 year old and over priced at £9!! Will I book a gain ??? Don’t know

We attended the Appleby Inn for our daughters wedding, because of this we arrived and left at unsociable hours. The instructions for doing this was made very clear. All of the staff went the extra mile to accommodate us and really made us feel nothing was too much trouble. We also dined in the restaurant and the food was very filling and very tasty. The whole experience was great service and a great price, Thank you.

We arrived early and didn’t expect to be able to check in but the lovely friendly receptionist allowed us to check into a lovely ground floor room. It was very clean with a large wet room. Breakfast was lovely the staff all efficient & friendly. It’s our 2nd stay there as we have family living locally so will definitely return.

We come here every year as we fo to Drayton manor the next day. Lovely place,very good value for money. Food is excellent, we book a table for evening meal and breakfast is included. Nice play area for our son to play on. Nice selection of foods nd drinks. Staff are very helpful. Just a nice holiday for us.

Booked a 2 night stay to attend a wedding in Burton. Room was perfect for a family of 4. Requested a quiet room as our boys are light sleepers. 1st night was perfect. 2nd night, turns out we were surrounded by a wedding party who were quite loud in the room upstairs until 2am, then up again and loud at 5am. Ruined our wedding attendance and no staff on site overnight. Real shame!

Slightly dated but an excellent, clean, comfy hotel. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Quiet despite our room being above the bar entrance. Breakfast, plentiful beautiful (I highly recommend the sausage). Check in and check out swift. Perfect location for a visit to Twycross Zoo

Have stayed many times but this Tim Ed not so good! Insufficient towels in rooms for 2 Bed mattresses are shot z as nd past best Contacted food poisoning in restaurant but hard to prove! Initial treatment when reporting was poor management not on site! Child’s meals are way to big for 5 year old and over priced at £9!! Will I book a gain ??? Don’t know

All staff were very friendly. The staff we had to interact with were efficient and polite. We had a family room and it was lovely, clean and the beds were very comfortable. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner & breakfast the following morning. All was lovely, dinner was particularly tasty.

Best hotel around this area, food in restaurant is excellent at very reasonable prices. Beware - portion sizes are large. Staff are excellent and very friendly. I can’t fault the place!

Great family room, spacious. Lovely outdoor space for children. Food was excellent, very generous portions. Gluten free catered for very well. Unfortunately the shower in room 33 constantly dripped. Other than that great 1 night stay after a long day at Twycross Zoo. Thanks

Staff were friendly, food was brilliant- tasty with great portions both in the bar and for breakfast! Room was a good size, lots of parking and a lovely location. All just a little dated !

I’ve read all the reviews about this hotel and restaurant and every one of them is positive. And we couldn’t agree more. The staff are lovely and can’t do enough for you. And the food! Well it’s fantastic - beautifully presented and enormous portions. Would thoroughly recommend.

Clean, spacious room. Lots of good options for an evening meal. Breakfast was also good. The children enjoyed the outside play area. Big car park. Def recommend if visiting Drayton Manor or Twycross Zoo.

Our room was big and so was the bathroom. It was no frills but then that’s what we wanted as we did it on the cheap. The room was clean and tidy. Staff were all nice and polite and helpful. Breakfast was amazing! Really nice full English and big portions as were the evening dinners we had. Bar was good to. There was even a goal on the playing area which made our boys very happy. I would definitely book again and would recommend to all. Well done all at the Appleby Inn 😀

This was a one night stop over for a visit to a local attraction. The hotel was perfect for our needs as a multigenerational family. The rooms were clean and had all that we needed for our stay. We had dinner at the hotel and were delighted at the number of gluten free choices available for our coeliac guest. Portions were generous and the meal was good value. Breakfast was excellent with a wonderful choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, juices and preservers as well as a wonderful cooked-to-order choice as well. There is a good children's play area outside which also includes a grassed area, which was a huge plus for our little guest. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming and I would have no hesitation in staying again or recommending to others
