This was our first trip and it did not disappoint!! Highs in the 60’s in August forced us into the hot tub only but it was plenty big enough to accommodate. The view is amazing!! The entire resort is cashless so keep that in mind. Also, the burger shack in the front closes whenever they feel like it so even if you were told 8 they could close at 7!

Pool & hot tub were amazing Tiki bar on property along with a hamburger truck. Walking distance to town. Beautiful location on the water. Downfall- tv in room was small, no coffee pot in room & breakfast not included Staff was very friendly & helpful Would stay there again

Check in is at 4pm and we had to wait for our room to be cleaned. We were sitting in the lobby and they never let us know if the room was ready. We had to keep going up to them and ask if it was ready yet. When we finally got into our room, we didn't have any towels. We asked twice for towels and they said that they were still being washed. The third time that we asked for towels, they finally gave us some. There is no free coffee and no free breakfast. Ice machines on each floor was not working or coming out slow.

The staff, the room and pool are amazing! Everything exceeded our expectation. The hotel is within walking distance to all the downtown fun. The pools over look Lake Erie and was heated. Great swimming in the cool nighttime air.

What you pay per night, is not worth what you get. When we got there, i needed some water. All of the vending machines were broken, there was a sign at the desk saying, we will be back. Had to leave the property to find a bottle of water. Then our ive maker on our floor did not work. Not very clean and no customer service

The tiki bar and food shack weren’t open as advertised. The ice machine was out of order. They charged for coffee. The room smelled of mold and mildew. There was visible mold in the bathroom and the grout needs to be scrubbed. In the bright side the pool was clean and heated and the staff was friendly!

The location was great and the pool/hot tub area was perfect next to a tiki bar. There was a little coffee shop and and rooms were clean and all had large balconies. Staff was helpful. Will return!

Staff were helpful & friendly. Bathroom shower had mold in several spots, balcony had a wonderful view, but had a lot of dead bugs. The rest of the room was clean and nice.

Wonderful, clean place. We stay here every year. The front desk attendants are super friendly and helpful. One was a male Thursday morning and then the female long blonde hair, very nice and courteous!

Our room was very nice and spacious. The view of the lake and pool from the balcony was amazing. Hotel was clean and staff was very nice. Would stay here again in the future.

Our room needed repairs & updating. Bathroom was rough and not cleaned well before our stay (layer of hair and lint on ice bucket, hairs in the shower, moldy shower curtain, toilet had black stains in it, floor wasn’t clean, finger prints on toilet handle, etc.) Needed serious updating: missing grout, loose tiles, peeling laminate on shelves, etc. Our room didn’t even have a box of tissues. Mirrors were smudged, trash on our porch too. Housekeeping hung out in a room a few doors down for most of the day and never serviced our room during our stay. This place has potential if they would just do the bare minimum to keep up with basic cleanliness and maintenance. The view from our screened in porch was great, the pool area looked well kept and it was close enough to the action we could walk there, but it was quiet enough to get a good night’s sleep. We won’t be back.

Room on the first floor. Had a terrace with a patio set. There was a dirty towel in One of the chairs and we had just arrived. the toilet had not been properly scrubbed. The patio door had spider webs and spiders hanging from it. Room had a musty odor. Hard to be comfortable in a bed when the room doesn’t smell fresh. Just not up to the standard we are accustomed to. Way over priced for the amount charged.

Loved our stay at Bayshore Resort. It was our first time at Put-in-Bay and chose this hotel based on reviews as well as its location. The room was very large and comfortable, and very very clean. Can’t say enough about how wonderful the front desk folks were. Will definitely stay here again.

Price worth the view? Bathroom had black mold - in shower and outside shower. Had to wear shoes in the shower. Asked for bleach and they gave me carpet cleaner. Balcony was nice. Pool was big, hot tub was cold.

The room had tons of cobwebs. Had to get the manager to bring staff to clean it. The ice machine AND vending machine on the first floor were out of order. But the views were spectacular. It’s frustrating because the manager tried rationalizing the cobwebs, when the cobwebs had dust. These scenic hotels think they can get away with not cleaning rooms correctly because they’re on a waterfront property. It really ruins the experience. Service was great, but due to cleanliness and inconveniences, it’s a 3 star from me.

It is a great place to stay. It's a great location and the view is amazing. I hope the hotel decided to remodel sometime soon. They do not have refrigerators, microwaves, or coffee pots in the room. The TV is also extremely small. We flipped on the TV in the morning as we were getting ready and it was hard to see from the bed. We did enjoy the view and the balcony.

It is a great place to stay. It's a great location and the view is amazing. I hope the hotel decided to remodel sometime soon. They do not have refrigerators, microwaves, or coffee pots in the room. Bayshore was great! Probably the most comfortable bed I have slept in within memory. Property was very clean and pool was nice. Only problem was the Internet kept dropping out

Our stay was great. They can’t help it if parents don’t teach their kids to be considerate of others in the pool or rooms. Beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Bathrooms and showers have not been updated and need some work.TV was a small as a computer monitor. As others noted, there is no mini fridge, coffee maker or microwave, which is really behind the times, especially at these prices. You have to go downstairs to the coffee shop and actually pay four dollars for a cup of coffee. It just seems so ridiculous. Just get some coffee makers and put them in the room for goodness sake or have a self serve kiosk. Really just seems like another money grab. Great views, close to town. We would stay here again.

Beautiful location. Only thing that was frustrating was no remote for TV and when we asked the front desk she said someone would be up to bring us one and no one ever showed up. Also when we wanted to use the hot tub and jets were not turning on and again asked the front desk for assistance and said she would have maintenance help us and again no one ever showed. Beautiful hotel just poor customer service.

They were busy the day before so they struggled to get us checked in at 4 and when we're assigned a room, we didn't get any towels till around 6 pm. It's ok, they tried. Staffs were nice. Just need a better way to manage their guest turnover.

We stayed for the weekend at the Bayshore Resort and we cannot say enough about the customer service and kindness the staff showed us from check in to check out! The views were amazing and we rented a golf cart from them which was very convenient. Yes we were there in the off season but what a great place with very nice facilities. We lived the lake views and screened in balcony. The room was big and clean. We hope to stay again!

The view was beautiful. The swimming options were nice. However, the bathroom floor was dirty. The toilet kept running. We had holes in our blankets. No manager was ever found. We have emailed manager Nick several times and zero responses. We were on a time limit so while there we texted the number we were given to reach Nick and zero communication back and we went downstairs to reach a manager which we were told was Nick and he was nowhere to be found. For how expensive it was and for us to have to pay an additional 100$ for an "early" check in..... this was a rip off in my eyes. There was also paint hanging off the walls. Loud music late at night. Halls and elevator smelled like marijuana.

The front desk staff are super nice and helpful. I ask the cleaning lady to clean our room and empty the trash…she dropped towels off. Our trashcans were overflowing and they did not empty the trash. Would not make bed. The elevator carpet looked like someone may have vomited on it a time or two. It definitely needs some TLC.

Overall, this was a good stay. The room was comfortable & clean. The staff was great. My keycard stopped working. I thought it just needed a battery change.The night clerk picked my lock at midnight. She was very nice & apologetic. But then after that, my keycard kept demagnetizing over & over again. I had to go to the desk up to 8 times to get a new key over & over again. The manager & the desk clerk told me I would get $50 off for the 4 nights I stayed. Well, in the end that didn't happened. I was lied to. I never got mad which I probably should have-then I might have gotten my discount. I had a good stay but just not coming through with a promise is just not right. Do better Bayshore.

The staff, the room and pool are amazing! Everything exceeded our expectation. The hotel is within walking distance to all the downtown fun. The pools over look Lake Erie and was heated. Great swimming in the cool nighttime air.

The Bayshore Resort was wonderful. Love that it's right on the water. The beds are super comfortable, and the staff is very helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Greatly exceeded my expectations. Not fancy but has everything you need to really feel like you are at a resort even though you are only on Lake Erie. Beds are so soft. Balcony overlooking Lake Erie is a nice touch Nice little coffee shop. Great tiki bar with amazing bartenders. Rent golf cars right on premises. So close to downtown you could easily walk it unless you want to explore. Then get a cart. Great family weekend getaway with older teenagers. We all had a blast.

This was our first trip and it did not disappoint!! Highs in the 60’s in August forced us into the hot tub only but it was plenty big enough to accommodate. The view is amazing!! The entire resort is cashless so keep that in mind. Also, the burger shack in the front closes whenever they feel like it so even if you were told 8 they could close at 7!

Pool & hot tub were amazing Tiki bar on property along with a hamburger truck. Walking distance to town. Beautiful location on the water. Downfall- tv in room was small, no coffee pot in room & breakfast not included Staff was very friendly & helpful Would stay there again

Check in is at 4pm and we had to wait for our room to be cleaned. We were sitting in the lobby and they never let us know if the room was ready. We had to keep going up to them and ask if it was ready yet. When we finally got into our room, we didn't have any towels. We asked twice for towels and they said that they were still being washed. The third time that we asked for towels, they finally gave us some. There is no free coffee and no free breakfast. Ice machines on each floor was not working or coming out slow.

Rooms were pretty average,beds and pillows were comfortable. Pool area is nice,loved the tiki bar but could use additional staffing sometimes the wait was over 30 min. The Burgers from the little shack out front were amazing!

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. I always loved it there. The staff is great. However, since it has been under new ownership it seems that they don't even provide the basic comforts that a nice hotel should have. No continental breakfast and the restaurant on premises is closed. There was no coffee maker in the room. You had to go into the lobby and pay at least 3.50 or more for a cup of coffee. The drinks at the Tiki bar were very expensive. No fridge or microwave in the room either. The ice machines and pop machines were out of order on both floors. There were no bath mats in either room that we booked. For such a nice hotel in a beautiful location it seemed like there should have been at least basic amenities. It seems like it is just all about the money now.

The tiki bar and food shack weren’t open as advertised. The ice machine was out of order. They charged for coffee. The room smelled of mold and mildew. There was visible mold in the bathroom and the grout needs to be scrubbed. In the bright side the pool was clean and heated and the staff was friendly!

The lake view from our room was amazing. The hotel location is great, short walk to downtown. Pools are great and the Tiki bar is fun.But there are things that good hotels do for their customers that Bayshore doesn't seem to care about, just little amenities. Number one the rooms just lack comforts. no coffee in the rooms.(you can buy it in the lobby at certain times) no microwave, refrigerator, iron or ironing board. Most hotels today offer breakfast, Not this one, there's not even a snack machine. As far as cleanliness there was black mold in the shower and I originally thought the grout in the bathroom was black until I saw the tile under the sink where it's off white. Overall I enjoyed the island but I think if we ever go back we would pick a diffrerent hotel.

First hotel I've stayed at that doesn't give you in room coffee. There's a little coffee place downstairs that the charge you for the coffee but it's not staffed, so you have to wait. Thankfully I took my own pillow cause the ones there stink!

Great staff, enjoyed the pool (very clean), wish you had more food options on site. Golf Cart prices are a little high (should be a discount if you are staying at the hotel).

Lack of refrigerator and microwave in the room, room had a bad mold smell and mold was present on the curtains. Nice hot tub and pool and staff was very courteous. Golf cart rental was a bit overpriced. Better rates right down the street. Better bring mosquito repellent. Bees and hornets hovering is the norm on the island. If you're allergic bring medication just in case.

Using the word "resort" in the name is a stretch. Too many shortfalls on appearance. Cleanliness was fine but watermarks/remediated mold on the ceiling above the in room tub, small black smudges on the sheer curtains, and black spotted (but non staining) golf cart seats were a distraction. The room smelled musty/moldy (but couldn't really see any) so we left the bathroom vent on for our entire 4 day stay which helped. No maid service but exchange towels or receive replacement soaps at the from desk was not a problem Great staff and we enjoyed our stay but I expect more from a "resort."

First, staff made us wait 25 minutes before being allow to check in. In the meantime they allowed other guest to have their rooms. Second, Being our anniversary, we were looking forward to the in-room hot tub. After getting into it, we realized it wasn't working. We stayed in the now "soak tub" for a while and once we got out, I went to discuss it with the front desk. They wanted to send someone in the room to check it out but I refused because my wife was not dressed and we had no intention on getting back in even if they did fix it. The moment had passed. I was told to come back to speak with the manager the next morning when we checked out. They refused to do anything to "take care of us" at that point because they were not allowed to enter the room to fix it the night before. As I stated, this was our anniversary and the room cost was over $500 for just the one night. Third, black mold on the ceiling was very unattractive.

Hotel common areas were nice… lobby, pool, bar, etc. Hallways were clean. Our room wasn’t as expected though. Looked fine when we walked in but after a while noticed mold or mildew on bottom of the shower door, bathroom floor was worn and could use replacing, balcony wasn’t clean so we didn’t go out, lamp on the night stand was dirty with webs and hair on the shade, bugs on the ceiling and when we used the air unit it make the room smell like mildew the rest of the stay. Not sure if our room was a one-off or if these issues are common so not sure if we’ll stay here again.
