Nice quiet area, friendly staff. Nice pool. Clean and comfy rooms. Overall good stay for a fair price!

The pool

The hotel is literally on the exit ramp, adjacent to two travel centers (fancy gas stations) and a small town nearby if you need more supplies. The hotel is being updated and isn’t perfect, but everything worked, the room was comfortable and spacious. The tv worked, the shower was an older style but was hot, worked just fine they have a huge indoor pool and solid continental breakfast. (The usual, bacon, eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, make your own waffle etc) but it was all fresh, nothing looked like it was sitting for days, everything was available and it was great. 10/10 would recommend.

We were greeted nicely, and got to our room without a problem. It was a comfie bed, a quiet room, clean, with good parking.

Very helpful desk clerks. Had copier and printer on site.

The only problem was the floor in the pool area…made our feet black.

Only downfall was the pool not being open

The hotel is very easy to get to. The front desk agent who checked us in was incredibly friendly & helpful. Our room was quiet & comfortable but could use and deep clean & some renovations. The indoor pool was nice but very loud. Breakfast was good but the hotel should consider adding another waffle maker as their was a long line to make one. Not an Eco-frendly hotel. Lots of plastic waste especially the cups for the waffle mix :-(

I stayed here to break up a drive to visit my friends. The service was great and the room was very comfortable. I loved the pool and the breakfast was perfect. I will be staying there on my way home.

I’ve stayed here a few times and while it’s affordable and a convenient location, it’s really in need of renovation. Lots of paint peeling, stained carpets, random little stains on towels and duvets, and mold in bathroom ceilings. Had a few ants in my room as well. The $200 incidentals hold charge is kind of ridiculous given the state of the property. However all that being said the staff is excellent and daily housekeeping much appreciated, and the rooms stay comfortably cold and quiet. If it’s summer make sure to check out Katie’s ice cream right across the street!

Bathroom and Bed were clean and tidy upon arrival, nothing was out of order . Staff was Friendly and Helpful, a nice place to stay with no worries.

The room was dirty. There was paper on the floor, a bug in the bathroom, and the sheets were stained.

The only fresh whole foods for breakfast are apples and oranges... The egg patties and sausage patties are thawed from frozen and the egg patties are loaded with pepper. I and many others have a sensitivity to pepper and there are no alternative egg choices. Everything else available for breakfast is full of sugar. Also the coffee is pretty nasty. As for the room, there was gunk built up in the corners of the bathroom, leftover hair from previous guests, cobwebs underneath furniture and the drapes do nothing to block out the super bright parking lot lights at night. The fridge made a loud ticking sound all night as well. Will not be staying here again.

It was good in general, but premises look kind of old

The front desk staff were all very pleasant. The lobby of the hotel was hot and humid. The interior was not updated, so it has a dingy feel. Carpet brown, yellow lighting and weird smell. We had a standard king room. Turned the ac on when we went in and had it at 64 the entire time but it felt 70. There was a metal water bottle in the freezer and ice packs which tells me the cleaning staff didn't open it to check. The bedspread had a dark questionable stain on it. When I got in the shower, there was hair on the wall. The showerhead would not give you a decent option as it should have been replaced. The microwave was from the 80s. The toilet's stopper was broken as well so unless you manually moved the stopper, the water would run continuously. At check out I did mention the toilet and maintenance is going to fix it. The pool area was nice and they do have coffee 24/7 which is great! Also only provided 2 washcloths for 2 people- I don't think I'm the only one who likes to use a separate wash cloth for my face and my body. It wasn't the best stay by far. We could have complained or asked for another room but it was one night and not worth the energy. Plus, there was a good chance of another room not being available.

As others have said, the hotel is a little dated, but it was very clean. If upgrading, I would start with the bathrooms. High toilets should be standard in hotels at this point. A small thing, but at 5'11", I was taller than where the shower head was mounted. If passing through this area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here. *didn't utilize breakfast at this location

We have stayed here many times previously with no complaints. But this time our room smelled either of old smoke or mold. And the toilet worked but barely. I think we just got the wrong room.

The front desk staff were friendly and personable. The room itself needs a lot of maintenance. The heat didn’t work properly, the shower was only lukewarm at best and there was a smell of musty old cigarette smoke. Friends of ours stayed in the room right next door, and had none of these problems, so it seems not all rooms have issues.

if the hotel has no smoking rooms then it should not reek of marijuna in the halls and even in our room when we got back from dinner. It’s like someone came in here and got high while we were gone. Or the room next to us is

The room was adequate, but the back parking lot is lit up like a football field night game and the black out curtains were barely able to block it out. The room looked like dawn all night long. The last time I was there I was in the front of the building and did not have that issue. Breakfast was pretty mediocre but the egg things were edible. The drain plug for the tub was broken so the tub filled when you took a shower. I had to open the plug and wedge the top part in there so it would deain properly.

The room was okay but had an odor. The paint was peeling off the door in the hallway and bathroom.

Staff is wonderful

I was stuck in a snow storm and the roads were horrible, its the only Hotel in the pass, on the site it said it took dogs, i have a yorkie and minature schnauzer, i had a wheelchair person traveling with me, it was 14 degrees out and no other options, when i went in after paying I asked about the pet fee, that it even said was ok, the sheet had a pet fee and he told me he couldnt rent me the room, unless the dogs stayed in the car. I advised what the website said, he said it was incorrect, I offered to pay a pet deposit and even offered to have him come check the room before and after checking out to see if my animals made a mess and I would pay. However, my dogs are both well trained and I had their cage to put them in. He still refused. The snow storm was not on the radar and it snowed 6 inches in less than 45 minutes. He advised me he turned away 2 other couples so he wasnt gojng to make an exception for me. I understand his concern, i understand the hotel might have different rules then what was on hotels.com. he did refund my money, so that was the one good thing, but overall, never again will i book a room at comfort suites. I had to continue to drive For about 30 miles at 15 miles an hour to be safe to find a hotel that would take dogs. A little grace in a snow storm would have been nice. There is a reason I dont even look to book hotels any longer when i travel.

The staff was outstanding

Terrible experience in multiple occasions with staff named shannon. Everyone else was nice and friendly. I have never been at a hotel where it was so un-inviting by one person. Someone should really talk to shannon, i would not recommend staying solely due to her treatment.

I booked for a four night stay.Unfortunately due to a death in the family I could not make it.I called to cancel my reservation before the first night check in time.Hotel wouldn’t even issue a partial refund on the five hundred and six dollar prepaid teservation.I paid an extra twenty four dollars for reservation protection.Never again.

Staff is very friendly.

We were in town for a tounement. When we arrived we were told that our reservation had been cancelled. They did not know how or why, but they had the same room available but for a higher cost. We booked through a link that was sent to us by a friend who was also booking. They did not loose my friends reservation but several other families that were there for the tournament had the same thing happen to them. I think they need to fix the booking issues, paying more when you book early to get a better rate really was disappointing. Other then that the place was nice and staff were great.

The lady at the front desk was so nice, she saw us with two little kids and made check in fast and easy, gave us the menu for a pizza place that delivered to the room and even gave us plates and utensils for when the food arrived. Very clean hotel.

The staff( front desk,housekeeping and kitchen staff) are diligent, efficient,polite and showed great respect to their guests.

Hotel was fine. It is pretty disingenuous to say this is at deep creek lake. It is 40 minutes away! This is fraud

The hotel was conveniently located directly off the interstate. We found a great restaurant, the Casselman, just down the road. The hotel was clean and quiet and the staff were efficient and helpful.

The property was nicely located right off Interstate 68. The property was in a nice quiet location with woods as a view from our room window. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Was a great location for seeing a large portion of western Maryland, NE West Virginia, and SE Pennsylvania

Our room was pretty nice and the breakfast was also very good. Some of the carpet on the second floor has some stains but it but overall was a nice experience
