Ramada Resort by Wyndham Puerto de Mazarron

Overall nice hotel, good pool area, room was sufficient. 10-15 min. walk to the Paseo or town center. Gym was soooo small—but you can make it work if you are a little creative. We didn't try the breakfast but did have dinner there one day and that was NOT good. Best offer was the pizza, but they brought us one with a RAW egg on it. When I sent it back, I was assured they would "fix it"?? I asked how they would fix it and apparently looked baffled enough, that the very young and inexperienced waitress asked if I preferred them to make a new one, which I confirmed. The pizzas come with what must be a premade base and so-so toppings - it really made us regret we didn't take the 5-10 minute walk to all the great food in town. The receptionist was very nice and spoke impeccable English.

My stay here was absolutely amazing I will definitely be staying there again if I am ever in the area and next time I will probably be with my partner, the staff were fantastic

Stayed for 5 nights during our bathroom renovation. Excellentky priced. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable and maid service every day. Fabulous shower and moderation bathroom. Hotel is a short walk to the port with many bars, restaurants and amenities. Lovely outdoor pool area. Would recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious stay at an affordable price.

Starting with the location — the hotel is roughly a 15 minute walk from the port, which sounds fine until you realise it’s all downhill on the way there, meaning it’s all uphill on the way back. So if you enjoy returning from dinner feeling like you’re training for a mountain expedition, this is the place for you. The room itself was average at best. The balcony however was completely overrun with bugs, so sitting outside in the evening turned into more of a wildlife experience than a relaxing holiday moment. Now for the sleep situation. The air conditioning doesn’t go below 20 degrees and barely blows cold air anyway, so the room stays far warmer than comfortable. To make matters even better, there’s a bright green emergency/fire exit light that stares you right in the face while you’re trying to sleep just above the door that lights the room up all night like you’re sleeping in a low budget nightclub. So between the heat and the glowing green beacon staring at you all night, sleep was not exactly luxurious. Unfortunately, we also had cockroaches in the room. One even made an appearance on the bed after coming in from the restaurant area not quite the welcome package we were hoping for. Speaking of the restaurant, the food was very average throughout. Breakfast was your standard continental/English buffet and dinner was equally forgettable. Service was also incredibly inconsistent. If there were Spanish guests in the restaurant, good luck getting your order taken.
