Comfort Inn Charlotte Airport Uptown

Great price, very clean, nice amenities. Airport shuttle only runs once every 2-3 hours.

Extremely hard to turn on and off the bath water. I thought it was going to run all night. This place is NOT at the airport. It is 15 minutes away. The shuttle starts at 6am. Otherwise you have to take a cab or Uber.

Bathroom very clean. Seemed recently remodeled. Room was cool and quiet. Shuttle bus was too slow for pickup at airport on 7/18, over one hour wait, but the driver in the morning of 7/19 was kind and courteous. He was your redeeming factor!

I didn’t like that the pool was closed and dirty, after I was told it would be cleaned the next day. I stayed for a weekend

The staff and service was great but the property was old and had an old musty sound to it. Pool was green and looked like it hadnt been used for a long time. Also when we arrived there was some people in a car who were using drugs

We called 5 times from the airport, no one picked up the phone and the free shuttle service never came. We eventually had to take a Lyft and were not reimbursed. When we arrived, after checking in we were told the elevator was not working so we had to carry our luggage to the THIRD FLOOR! No manager was working and we were told we couldn’t be reimbursed and no rooms were available on the lower levels. Awful experience.

Pool was green. Staff was unfriendly at check in. Room was not clean and pillows were awful. The room had a bad smell. The booth in the dining area was falling apart I was shocked this was a Comfort hotel.

The room and elevators smelled strongly of cigarettes, but it sufficed for a sleep to catch an early flight after missing our connecting. The airport shuttle was slow to come at night and only leaves on the hour in the morning.

Bed was amazing , the pool wasnt cleaned our entire stay . I actually cleaned it myself one of the days . The staff was amazing overall , very friendly

No available towels or wash clothes, daily. Pool was dirty yet it was open for use.

This hotel is TERRIBLE. I have tried to get in touch with the General Manager, whose name I believe is Ruchin Mehta, with no success. During my stay, my daughter and I experienced the following: - Upon checking in, we were sent to Room 201 that was not clean and had a dusty vacuum with dust all over the floor. After seeing this, we went back down to the front desk and were given Room 304. - There was a musty, smoke smell in the hallway of the third floor that remained the entire duration of our stay. - There was a constant water dripping sound all weekend. I am not sure where it was coming from but we could hear it in the bed and in the bathroom. - Then there were the ROACHES. There were roaches in the bathroom as well as the bed area. We’d killed one and then another would come out. We put the trashcan out in the hallway but that still didn’t keep the roaches away. - There was also a constant hammering and sawing sound that would start around 8am and still be going until around 5pm. We couldn’t sleep in. We couldn’t hear the television. We couldn’t read or even talk to each other without yelling. All of these things made our visit to Charlotte very unpleasant and frustrating and had I been able to cancel my reservation and go elsewhere, I would have. The staff was very friendly but they did not offer any help in the situation as they instructed me to contact the general manager and that they would make a note on my account.

This experience was pretty icky. Check in was slow and the girl behind the desk was sweet but confused. The elevators were dirty, the common areas were dirty (especially the carpet) and as soon as we opened the door to each room the smell of smoke and or mold was heavy in our faces. Each room had roaches (yes, plural) there was hair on the hair dryer, sticky funk on the tissue box cover and the blankets were stained/dirty. Breakfast was pretty gross but at least I didn’t have to pay for that. All in all, a pretty bad experience. 😬

Among arrival, we noticed evidence of bugs, which was made known to the front desk. There was hair and stains in the shower and on the bed linen. The shower handle was malfunctioning, and the water pressure was not consistent. We spoke with the front desk clerk and the housekeeping directly in the early morning about having our sheets changed and the bathroom cleaned, on two separate occasions, and even into the afternoon it was completed. I tipped the housekeeping staff that I spoke to, just to motivate her and ensure that we received services, and we never did. When we returned in the afternoon and services weren’t completed, we had to change rooms because it’s the only accommodation there was to offer. Housekeeping left, after being tipped beforehand, without providing fresh linen for us to sleep on. Even after switching rooms, there was still evidence of bugs. The cameras didn’t work on the floor, so when we experienced a theft, there was no way the hotel staff could help us, not that they offered much help to begin with. Cameras needs to be fixed, whole place needs to be cleaned, and the staff needs more training on how to accommodate and take responsibility for not following up on guests requests

Nice floors, but ants & roaches in bathroom!!

We woke up in the morning with rashes on our backs. In the bathroom there was a live cockroach in the sink. We went to the lobby to speak to staff about most likely bedbugs in addition to the cockroach. A manager was meeting in the open with the housekeeping staff telling them to strip all beds even if the room wasn't used. She also reminded them that when guests leave they can't simply make the bed. The sheets have to be cleaned.

We checked in and within 5 mins we seen two roaches in the bathroom. IMMEDIATELY CHECKEDOUT!!!

I would not stay here again. Pictures are very misleading and dirty. There were 2 cockroaches in our bathroom, dirty towels and bedspreads, mold on the ceiling and the smelled terrible. Also, the lock on our door was broken and replaced with a small piece of wood barely holding it together. Do not waste your money on this place. Very disappointed.

I left after first night. Infestation of roaches was so bad that I found a roach in my car. Never have I ever had a roach in my car until This stay. Don’t recommend this place unless new management takes over.

The area around the property is nice. Once you get to the hotel, that area is questionable. You can tell it is an old building but it was clean for the most part. It has a musty smell to it and they have humidifiers in the hallways. The staff is very friendly. I saw another customer talking so nasty to the staff, and the staff was so courteous to her even though the lady was nasty and rude. It's not my first choice but not my last choice.

This property had a lot of things that needed fixed Our closet door was falling off, the toilet paper holder was broken and couldn't even hold toilet paper. There was scratches all over walls, and furniture. The beds were comfortable, and smelled clean. The breakfast area had a nice breakfast, however the vinyl benches were ripping, and most of the tables were sticky from not being wiped from the morning diners before us. The staff was pleasant and easy to work with.

The walls are very hollow so every time someone opened and closed their door, I could hear it slam. The breakfast was average. The room could have been cleaner. They left a small face towel hanging in the bathroom from the previous person. They were cracks in the floor,and the baseboards had not been cleaned.

The property is outdated and requires substantial makeup.

Was good. One guest was talking very loud in the hallway till 11;15 PM

Great staff and customer service. Super prompt shuttle service from the airport. Very basic rooms with sloppy aesthetics, scratched doors, and walls missing paint. Overall very good value since it was safe and clean.

Air conditioner was loud and vibration noises.

I have stayed here 3 times and they have always been very nice. This last visit, was when Hurricane Helen hit. We landed in Charlotte, not knowing what was happening. The hotel was wonderful and welcoming, even though there was no electricity or water. The city was devastated but the staff went above and beyond. They shared a lantern with us and made a reservation for an additional night. I would give the staff 10 stars and a raise, if I could. I will continue to use this hotel with all my travels through the Charlotte area. It is a great location, with restaurants close and prompt shuttle service. Thank you for keeping my mom and I safe!

I booked A room through Expedia and when I called To make sure the room was available they did not actually have a booking for me.

I paid for my stay ahead of time with my booking and when I arrived to check into the hotel they told me THEY WERE OVERBOOKED AND THEY DID NOT HAVE A ROOM FOR ME TO STAY IN!!!! They said they could refund me & that's it. I'm from out of town. My son & I had no where to stay because every hotel in the area & surrounding areas was completely booked for the weekend. We had to go to the airport & sleep there until our flight the next day. Smh!!!!! While at the hotel, when I arrived there was a sign in the desk be back in 10 mins. I timed it & we waited for 23 mins until someone to arrived to help us. So to wait that long & then to be told there were no rooms for me to stay in....I WAS PISSED!!!! While waiting for my refund, a guest came to the desk bringing a mop back from mopping her own room from a water incident and she said she needed covers because her room did not come with linens when she checked in! Whaattt! As I tired to call around to find a room, sat down in their main dining around & all the individual chair cushions were peeling, and bench seats were falling apart. There was zero upkeep of the the hotel just from what I could see in the lobby and dining area, plus to see a guest mopping up her room and having no linens upon arrival is crazy! I probably dodged a bullet, but I still can't believe my child & I were left homeless for a weekend due to poor management or should I say the lack there of!!

Slow check in couldn’t understand lady

Horrible experience chevking in, room key didn't work and after returning four times to the front the receptionist finally decided to change my room. Had to pay an unexpected $100 deposit fir the room which will not be returned to me until after 10 business days (that's unsatisfactory).

Upon check-in I was asked to scan the QR code and give them a review. I assumed she meant after my stay. She didn’t. The woman, Monica, literally held my key waiting on me to finish the review. SHE WOULDN’T GIVE ME MY KEY!!! I was trying to be nice about it but I was worn out and ready to get to my room. It took me 3 times of telling her “I can’t get it to work (my phone really was being slow) I’ll try again later” before she finally gave me my key. Well, you wanted a review so here it is… I’ve stayed in 100s of hotels across the US. This is easily in the top 5 worst experiences. Asking for a review and holding my key at check in, employees in the office just behind the counter hollering and calling names, room was not clean, hair all over the shower, a phone charger presumably from the last guest still plugged in the wall, small roach crawling on the bathroom floor, another roach crawled across my chest while in the bed, the shower had very little water pressure and took over 5 minutes just to get barely warm enough to use. The ONLY good thing about this hotel is that it was convenient to I-77.

Staff kept exceptionally high standards of professionalism from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. I noticed fhey took time to explain amenities, breakfast and transportation to other customers and me, These are the staff I would want if I owned the hotel!

Good stay but never got my deposit back

Shuttle drivers said they were at airport for pick up at a certain time which they wasn’t, had to wait and additional hour and 30 min at the airport, checked into the hotel and they waited at the front desk for sometime, when I finally got to my room there were no wash clothes just large hand towels, terrible

My two day stay was uneventful and that's the way i like it. I had my semi truck parked on their lot, which was very lit up and safe. Overall a great stay with great hospitality and comfort.

We stayed here and people was being loud in the hallway and slamming doors till late in the night. Horrible stay will not be going back here again. The gas station just down the street had an armed security guard walking around the front of the building.

I do not recommend this hotel. The area is very poor. Homeless people were hanging outside. The hotel needs to be updated. The staff were foreigners and act like they didn’t understand what to do. I had to wait an hour for clean towels & they didn’t let me charge my room incidental fee for snacks. Very strange! Never again!

Property was a total disater, broken windows in the parking lot from thiefs breaking into cars, no security on premises and only 2 towels in the room for 4 guest. DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE.

Was in a weird location but everything else was good. Booked hotel when it said 6.7 miles on application was actually 17 miles away.

It was a pretty good hotel for the price. The breakfast was surprisingly good and had more options than I expected. It was really hot that night and my AC work amazing. I would definitely book there again the next time I’m visiting Charlotte

Quick stay as it was just a layover between two flights so I didn't mind that it wasn't that great of shape. It was good for the price. Some guest ate the breakfast but it was too salty for me! Otherwise a decent stay

The breakfast was nasty & the shower handle operation in the bathroom is hard to maneuver & at keeping the water at a steady temperature. It needs to be updated completely. In addition,I couldn’t even swim in the pool since it’s an amenity in your hotel. Not good.

Exceeded all expectations. Missed my layover and needed a place to crash for 12 hours. Great price, solid breakfast, and had an airport shuttle. 10 of 10 in my book.

I reserve 2 queens bed, and when I did the checking the gave a king bed only because they were sold out, thats not fare. Otherwise the room was clean and breakfast good.
