Spacious rooms, beautiful view over the ocean. Breakfast: do not expect quality food! Butte is yellow and disgusting. Real bread not provided (though there are good bakwries in town), Cheese very low quality and even eggs taste odd. Pool and lobby area: bring your headset. Same music every 45 minutes for 3 days. Staff unable to change the music.

This hotel was exceptional!! Great personnel, excellent receptionist who recommended really nice tours and drivers. Great servers at the restaurant in the evening, we enjoyed it. The pool area is very serene and beautiful, overlooking a beach with baby sea lions 🦭❤️

Unfortunately this was the worst hotel we experienced during a 2.5 week honeymoon in Ecuador and the Galapagos. A huge surprise to us as Indigo marketed itself as five star and we made a note that it was our honeymoon and really did expect five star service or at least four. In addition this was by far the most expensive hotel with one of the nights totally 520 and the other averaging 450. I’m writing a full review in order to help other travellers but also in the hope that IHG get in touch. It was a real shock. The pros: on arrival we were greeted by the lovely Emily who was sweet and welcoming. The lady who helped us on exit was also very lovely and the waiters in the main restaurant were charming. It’s also a great location and the bed and pillows were very good. We almost had the best night sleep of the trip… The cons: the hotel mentioned it was soundproof. Not the case. While the noise of the sea lions didn’t bother us (you can’t control nature, nor should you try!!) what did bother us every morning before 6am was the other hotel guests. we could hear them open their safe, use the loo, talk to one another. We were also positioned right next to the cleaning room (a shame… we thought as honeymooners we might get a nicer room) so we were woken by that throughout the night/early hours of the morning. The breakfast was lacking for a five star (the egg chef was lovely and the eggs were nice) but everything else was limited and the coffee was truly awful. Finally, on our f
