Beautiful space and gardens. So much history and friendly staff. Lots of convenient places to explore, from Jocko’s bbq restaurant to the Dana Ranch Home, lots to do in Nipomo.

The property itself was very cool. Historic Victorian home, recently remodeled rooms, nice gardens. Just around the corner from Jocko’s (yummy!). We had a bit of a problem with getting our entry codes. They didn’t come from Expedia until after we got into the place. I had to text/call and leave messages and they did get back to me about 30 minutes before arrival. I was a bit panicked, since they don’t have anyone on site. But, it all worked out and we loved our stay. Breakfast was just OK, not great. Would stay again.

Its been built 1887 by Vitalis Runels retired ranch owner, its victorian style built from Redwood. So beautiful and very impressive and quiet. It have so beautiful gardens as well. I will come back with my church members again. Two Thumbs Up!!!

This was a last minute stay over the 4th of July. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast was great. You can ask to have things cooked for breakfast or have the premade stuff. We walked around the grounds, it’s like you’re in a hidden oasis. Would definitely stay again.

This is a cool house to stay in. We had a very big room and plenty of privacy. There was an event on the property that could have disturbed our stay, however we were told in advance about the possibility of noise. It was ok for us because we had all day plans that kept us out the house until after 9pm.

Dit is een prachtige historische b&b. Het huis ademt veel sfeer en is prachtig ingericht. We hebben hier 3 nachten verbleven en vonden het heerlijk. Buiten het huis is er een grote tuin waar het lekker is om te ontspannen. Enige verbeterpunt is het ontbijt. Bij inchecken werd ons verteld dat er een keuzemenu is met verse gerechten die op verzoek bereid werden. Dit was alleen het geval toen Beki aanwezig was. De andere dagen werd ons dit niet aangeboden. Wel was er een beperkt assortiment brood en beleg. Verder dus een heerlijk verblijf.

LOVED our time here! It felt like the secret garden. So quaint and you could really feel the history. The grounds were beautiful and we loved all the sitting areas outside to hang out and relax. Really loved the fire pit! Only complaint is I am very sensitive to mold and there were some signs of water damage in the bathroom- staining on the floors and rippling on the walls. That concerned me. Other than that- we loved every second!!

We stayed in Volume 1 which is not in the property but in an adjacent structure tucked in the back of the property. It had some charms but was mostly devoid of amenities. The couch wasn’t a pull out but just a firm couch bench where the back lays flat. Linens weren’t provided for the couch so we had to call as there is no staff on site. Linens were kept in the main house and we were told to get them ourselves if we wanted it. Since we booked for three people I wouldn’t have expected self service to track that down. We got in late at night and found the linens had sand or powder of some kind on them. We think it was laundry detergent that didn’t get rinsed out. I itched all night but my wife slept. The black out curtains worked well and the shower was nice but the bathroom was otherwise cramped and would have been challenging for three people to share and get ready at the same time. The desk was small, the seats were small but had quaint charm. It is not a room I would expect one could work or study in if that was needed. You have access to common areas in the main building but not much private space in the room. There was a private patio with two chairs but in an otherwise plain fenced in area that I don’t think anyone would use. This is not a bed and breakfast, though it was in the past. We couldn’t eat in the morning. They had put three bagels out the night before but all were gone by when we got up. The keurig was lousy for coffee. Overall disappointing!

Listing said in-room microwave and in-room refrigerator, as well as air conditioning (which obviously implies in the room). None of these were true and the room was just slightly larger than the queen bed in it. Also, the place reeked of mold. However, the proprietor immediately and cheerfully refunded our entire 2-night cost, which earned a couple more stars here than I would have given it. And to be fair, it really is a beautiful property, with a majestic main house and lots of lush greenery, gazebos, etc. The "Cottage" unit here needs to go back to being a storage shed, though! Caveat emptor, folks.

Love the old house and the grounds! Didn’t like that my bathroom was down the hall and served as the access point for the laundry room, and the toilet leaked. The kitchen appliances mention as “in room” are downstairs in the communal kitchen, not in the room. They provide a nice breakfast, good coffee and a selection of teas, fruit and a bath robe. Nearby Mother Shuckers restaurant was very good.

My husband and I loved staying at the Keleidoscope Inn - a gorgeous and handsomely appointed Victorian house in a serene garden setting. Our room was simply beautiful, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom lovely and spotless. The hostess, Beki, is warm and attentive, and she's a good cook! (If you're good and hungry, try her hearty apple pancake for breakfast.) A tremendous value. I would stay there again in a hot minute.

Good communication with the staff and the space had a lot of character. Unfortunately, when I tried to take a shower in the morning there was no hot water.

We would have preferred a couple extra bath towels for 2 nights but that is all. The place is quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. We would come back here.

This was a last minute stay over the 4th of July. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast was great. You can ask to have things cooked for breakfast or have the premade stuff. We walked around the grounds, it’s like you’re in a hidden oasis. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was in the Carriage House, which was a room sperate from the main house.The room was spacious. Overall the grounds are beautiful and quiet. The only disappointment was as advertised as a bed and breakfast the breakfast was a disappointment from our stays at other B&B.

This is a cool house to stay in. We had a very big room and plenty of privacy. There was an event on the property that could have disturbed our stay, however we were told in advance about the possibility of noise. It was ok for us because we had all day plans that kept us out the house until after 9pm.

We would have preferred a couple extra bath towels for 2 nights but that is all. The place is quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. We would come back here.

We stayed in Volume 1 which is not in the property but in an adjacent structure tucked in the back of the property. It had some charms but was mostly devoid of amenities. The couch wasn’t a pull out but just a firm couch bench where the back lays flat. Linens weren’t provided for the couch so we had to call as there is no staff on site. Linens were kept in the main house and we were told to get them ourselves if we wanted it. Since we booked for three people I wouldn’t have expected self service to track that down. We got in late at night and found the linens had sand or powder of some kind on them. We think it was laundry detergent that didn’t get rinsed out. I itched all night but my wife slept. The black out curtains worked well and the shower was nice but the bathroom was otherwise cramped and would have been challenging for three people to share and get ready at the same time. The desk was small, the seats were small but had quaint charm. It is not a room I would expect one could work or study in if that was needed. You have access to common areas in the main building but not much private space in the room. There was a private patio with two chairs but in an otherwise plain fenced in area that I don’t think anyone would use. This is not a bed and breakfast, though it was in the past. Do very wonderful place to stay in an old mansion. The breakfast provided by the host and hostess were excellent both warnings. The most of the rooms are upstairs so if you have a hard time navigating stairs, this may not be your preferred place to stay. But don’t let that stop you if you wanna real adventure. Is wonderful and relaxing. There are a lot of good restaurants nearby. We would go there again.

We had a bit of a problem with getting our entry codes. They didn’t come from Expedia until after we got into the place. I had to text/call and leave messages and they did get back to me about 30 minutes before arrival. I was a bit panicked, since they don’t have anyone on site. My husband and I loved staying at the Keleidoscope Inn - a gorgeous and handsomely appointed Victorian house in a serene garden setting. Our room was simply beautiful, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom lovely and spotless. The hostess, Beki, is warm and attentive, and she's a good cook! (If you're good and hungry, try her hearty apple pancake for breakfast.) A tremendous value. I would stay there again in a hot minute.

We stayed in Volume 1 which is not in the property but in an adjacent structure tucked in the back of the property. It had some charms but was mostly devoid of amenities. Its been built 1887 by Vitalis Runels retired ranch owner, its victorian style built from Redwood. So beautiful and very impressive and quiet. It have so beautiful gardens as well. I will come back with my church members again. Two Thumbs Up!!!

Dit is een prachtige historische b&b. Het huis ademt veel sfeer en is prachtig ingericht. We hebben hier 3 nachten verbleven en vonden het heerlijk. Buiten het huis is er een grote tuin waar het lekker is om te ontspannen. Enige verbeterpunt is het ontbijt. Bij inchecken werd ons verteld dat er een keuzemenu is met verse gerechten die op verzoek bereid werden. Dit was alleen het geval toen Beki aanwezig was. De andere dagen werd ons dit niet aangeboden. Wel was er een beperkt assortiment brood en beleg. Verder dus een heerlijk verblijf.

This is a wonderful old Victorian recently remodeled beautifully. I’m partial because it was my great grandparents home for decades. I love the new updated decor. Don’t miss Jockco’s steak house just around the corner!! Wonderful

Our room 'volume 1" was excellent. Large king size bed, love the double shower heads and comfortable couch. My suggestion is to have a box of tissues in the room/bathroom and have sugar or sweetener in the room to go with the coffee maker. I went out to get a up of coffee in the main house/lobby area, but there were no cups (ceramic or paper) to make a cup of coffee. It would be nice to have paper coffee cups "to go". Nice size desk if needed, but a pen or pencil with a small note pad would have been nice.
Our room 'volume 1" was excellent. Large king size bed, love the double shower heads and comfortable couch. My suggestion is to have a box of tissues in the room/bathroom and have sugar or sweetener in the room to go with the coffee maker.
