The “gym” is one small machine and one treadmill. Breakfast, however, was amazing. Going “as fast as we can” to clean the room before checking with minimal customers checking in, resulted in a wait of 5 hours. No bueno.

Close to Acropolis, park is across the street. Kitchenette provides cooking utensils to cook your own meals. Access to laundry and billiards room. Public transportation is very close.

Average hotel that is walking distance to the acropolis and right around the corner from some cute cafes (go up the hill!) and near a cemetary worth visiting. Waters & sodas in the mini fridge and housekeeping every other day. Our room had a hot tub on the patio which was nice. The fitness room is modest & does not have free weights. The indoor jacuzzi and sauna are in the same space. Breakfast was fine. Photos make this look like a luxury 5-star hotel and while it is nice, it showed some signs of wear.

Great stay near the Acropolis in Athens in February 2025. We enjoyed the private hot tub in the suite and utilised the parking lot for 15€. Walking distance to the Acropolis area, prices around here are great value for the restaurants in the area. Would stay here again.

The Newel Hotel Acropolis was very nice and comfortable. Well designed and appointed. The room showers are designed a bit awkwardly as the showe stall is open with no door causing water to splash around bathroom area. Otherwise great! The staff was friendly and helpful. Elevator was tiny (2peraon max) and unreliable. Walkability was good in the area. Front staff was very nice except for Thomas. He was quite useless and dismissive of our requests. Demetrius was wonderful and very accommodating with breakfast service and helping with our luggage when the elevator broke down. Yes we would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Great new room, quality materials, with a balcony and a jacuzzi outside. was not on the rooftop, but at 2nd floor. Easy to walk around. I just think that should be and warning about how to get in the hotel (the door was permanently locked, and u need the password to enter. Even with the receptionist there..

Sehr zentrale Lage. Akropolis und Stadttteil Plaka zu Fuß sehr gut erreichbar. Parkmöglichkeiten hinter dem Haus vorhanden. Leider war das Frühstücksbuffet nicht so reichhaltig, es fehlte ein wenig die Auswahl an Brot/Brötchen. Ebenfalls sollten die Handtücher einmal erneuert werden.

This hotel was great! The front desk staff were very friendly. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms were comfortable. Great location. The very small elevator was fun. Not much of a fitness room, but we were walking all day to all the sites and were too tired to even use it. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Netjes, nieuw en schoon. Vriendelijk personeel bij receptie en bij ontbijt. Mooi centraal op 10 minuten lopen van Akropolis. Het is echter wel vreselijk gehorig door zowel een drukke weg aan voor- en achterkant. Als je niet gewend bent aan stadsverkeer ben je elke ochtend vroeg wakker.

This hotel is located within short walking distance of the pedestrian zone by the south entrance to the Acropolis, with plenty of restaurants around. The decor is chic, and the terry cloth robes and slippers are a nice touch, but they appear to be in the middle of renovations, with the walls needing to be painted and a patch of ceiling in the bathroom needing to be replastered (next to the dirty vent). The front desk staff are young and try to be helpful, and there is a good variety of hot and cold breakfast items in the lobby 7:30am-10am. All rooms apparently get toiletries, and our Hotels.com included the minibar items, but these were not restocked during our 5-day stay. Housekeeping is every 2 days. The kitchenette has enough nonperishable items for 2 people to fix a simple meal or store/reheat leftovers. The room was big enough and nicely furnished, and the lobby doubles as a living room if you aren't going out but want a change of scenery. We only got to use the hot tub once due to the weather, but it was nice. Wifi was spotty.

Very clean room. Not enough towels so ask for more. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Had wine for my husbands birthday, nice touch. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We checked our luggage early morning before check in 8am and left for the day, and they had it waiting when we got back 10pm late check in. Very much appreciated. Locked and secure area. Need codes to get into hotel. Close to Temple of Zues and gates of Athens , 20min to acropolis. Easy walk , felt safe. Breakfast was fufilling and quite refreshing. Tasty. I’d avoid the coffee personally.

Breakfast bad, not fresh and silverware cleanliness is questionable. Overall room cleaning was was ok but bathroom had mold on the tile. Phone did not work. Tv was acting up as well, would work and then turn off on its own, or I would hear the channels but it would be blocked with Netflix screen. Elevator, another level, Like a coffin. I was afraid to ride it . Took stairs instead. The location is also very strange of this hotel. It’s close walking distance to acropolis and the museum but there are strange buildings/ stores around it. The get into hotel, you need to ring the door bell or enter your passcode . Sometimes the code did not work or there was no one at the front desk to open the door to the hotel. Had to wait outside . Very strange . Would never stay in this hotel again or recommend to a friend . Very sad (

O quarto é ótimo, apesar de não ter limpeza nem troca de toalhas. A localização é boa. Café da manhã incluido mas bem simples. Se você está viajando com uma mochila é um o hotel ok. Se você viaja com mala escolha qq outro hotel. Nos colocaram no primeiro andar onde o elevador não chega e é preciso carregar todas as malas escada acima. Quando chegamos no andar ainda tinha degraus pra subir e descer por cima de uma viga estrutural. Claramente é um hotel adaptado de outra construção.

Great location. Breakfast was ok. However, it is on a 24/7 busy street. The heater setting was on and they couldn't change it to a/c. We asked for a fan which they provided and we were thankful for, but we still had to crack the window open for cold air. Even with a noise maker, you can hear the street traffic.

Great location close to the old town. Hot tub on the balcony was amazing and the terrace a real show stopper. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside was breakfast variety wasn’t great, there were also little bits of maintenance like the bed was quite creaky and the hot water had to leave on for couple of minutes before was warm enough. Overall though nice hotel and would recommend.

Great location in the center of the city. Rooms looking over the streets are a little noisy, as any hotels would by in a big city, but the hotel provides earplugs. Lots of nice perks and great breakfast.

Loved this hotel! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is modern with good air conditioning. We had one room with a hot tub, and what a treat! Each of our rooms had a kitchenette that had everything we needed. It was a short walk up the hill to the tourist shopping area, took us about 7 minutes. Such a wonderful stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

The property was in great condition. The location was perfect since it is just a short walk to the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, and Plaka. The one and only complaint was that the third bed was small and uncomfortable. Overall we really enjoyed the stay.

Possibly the best view of the acropolis in Athens. I stayed in Greece for 6 weeks in numerous hotels and this was my favorite. I was lucky enough to get the penthouse room with a jacuzzi on the balcony. It gave me the most unique experience of the city. The staff are amazing. Marina is simply incredible. Went out of her way to make sure I had a great stay. Breakfast in incredible as well. You cannot go wrong with this place. This will be a hotel I will always stay at anytime I come to Athens. Do yourself a favor and book the penthouse with jacuzzi- you won’t regret it.

The staff was incredible, especially Anna and Ben. Our flight into Athens was cancelled but they helped secure transportation from the airport. The location is perfect, central to the Acropolis and many bars and restaurants. The amenities were plentiful, extra towels and pillows, snacks in the room. We were able to extend our stay another night and spent the last evening in the Superior Suite, which was also a beautiful and spacious room. We didn’t get to take advantage of the spa/gym/sauna but it looked nice. The view from the penthouse balcony cannot be beat, it was worth every penny!

We checked our luggage early morning before check in 8am and left for the day, and they had it waiting when we got back 10pm late check in. Very much appreciated. Locked and secure area. Need codes to get into hotel. Close to Temple of Zues and gates of Athens , 20min to acropolis. Easy walk , felt safe. Breakfast was fufilling and quite refreshing. Tasty. I’d avoid the coffee personally.

Breakfast bad, not fresh and silverware cleanliness is questionable. Overall room cleaning was was ok but bathroom had mold on the tile. Phone did not work. Tv was acting up as well, would work and then turn off on its own, or I would hear the channels but it would be blocked with Netflix screen. Elevator, another level, Like a coffin. I was afraid to ride it . Took stairs instead. The location is also very strange of this hotel. It’s close walking distance to acropolis and the museum but there are strange buildings/ stores around it. The get into hotel, you need to ring the door bell or enter your passcode . Sometimes the code did not work or there was no one at the front desk to open the door to the hotel. Had to wait outside . Very strange . Would never stay in this hotel again or recommend to a friend . Very sad (

Great location close to the old town. Hot tub on the balcony was amazing and the terrace a real show stopper. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside was breakfast variety wasn’t great, there were also little bits of maintenance like the bed was quite creaky and the hot water had to leave on for couple of minutes before was warm enough. Overall though nice hotel and would recommend.

What a great find! Everyone who worked there was so kind and friendly. Any questions that we ever asked they were always able to help. The breakfast were delicious. Our room was very comfortable. It was a great location for being close to the Acropolis, the Plaka, and the original Olympics venue. There were lots of restaurants nearby and we were very comfortable walking around in the streets, any time of day.

The rooms which are the most important were of good standard, clean, spacious. Comfortable beds. Really booring view of the courtyard and demolition-ready houses opposite. looked really dull. Very nice staff, very helpful girls at reception.Very friendley. Boring breakfast, poor selection. some toast and small crossiants that was all. The property has a decent location. Close to Metro and Acropolis. It’s a quiet neighborhood but also within walking distance to restaurants. I have seen reviews that are rated 10, but I felt disappointed. The property (rooms) is ok. Decent size considering Europe. However the washrooms will need an update. The shower pressure is very low. The shower glass is very short so the water splashed everywhere in the bathroom. Breakfast was basic, but latte and croissant was very good. Staff are nice. Helpful. I would say it’s a more basic hotel.

The “gym” is one small machine and one treadmill. Breakfast, however, was amazing. Going “as fast as we can” to clean the room before checking with minimal customers checking in, resulted in a wait of 5 hours. No bueno.

Check in - the desk doesn't operate 24/7, and even during its hours of operation, they aren't always in. the main door is locked and there's an access code. I had to wait few minutes outside until someone showed up. Accessibility - although the place has an elevator, it doesn't stop on all floors. my room was on the 1st floor and I had to carry my suitcase up the stairs. Location - it is in the center, but not right where all the action is. it's about 10-15 minutes walk. the room - was nice with a little kitchen. the only thing - it had a little step going into the bathroom. so you should be careful at night when it's dark.
