Great stay at Newel - Mario and the staff were fantastic and accommodating, lovely breakfast with a lot of choice, great location close to the metro and overall a wonderful stay. Only things to note, parking can be quite tricky and the Penthouse Room lacks a bit of privacy - would benefit from curtains/privacy glass. Other than that, great stay and would return.

Beim Frühstück sind alle sehr Aufmerksam, leider fehlt das abendliche Ambiente. Sich in die Lobby setzen, z.B Barbetrieb oder noch eine Kleinigkeit Essen. Man würde dann auch mit anderen Gästen ins Gespräch kommen. Zur Metro sind es ca 5 Min. Die Lage ist wirklich gut. Sauberkeit und Freundlichkeit steht jedoch ganz oben. Wir waren zufrieden

The room itself was nice, but the woman checking us in was very unfriendly and not helpful. The breakfast was fine and the people serving were great and friendly. On our second day asked directions to ATM, never found it. Third morning asked directions to a coffee shop which was very inconvenient for the person at the desk. Response go left or right look and you will find many. Unfortunately we went right walked for a few blocks came back took a taxi and left. As we were leaving we saw 3 coffee shops on the left in close proximity to the hotel. There is not much around the hotel and you must take a 15-20 min taxi ride to get downtown. One desk and 2 chairs in lobby no where to wait except on outside sidewalk.

It’s a shame to give this hotel a low review, but we were quite disappointed. We had previously been asked what time we would be arriving, and I said around 2pm. Once we got to the hotel; we were told the room would be ready at 3, we thought this was no problem so we came back at 3 and proceeded to wait in the lobby for an hour after that, no one told us why, until the room was nearly ready. The reason for the delay was because the hot tub needed to be checked, and it turned out to not work for the duration of our stay. Disappointing trip.

This hotel was an interesting stay. The rooms decor was quite good with a mininimalist approach which was classy yet functional. My challenge was the jetted tub did not work and getting it to work was never explained and it was a big disappointment. The biggest disappointment was the claim of sound proofing. Nothing could be further from the truth I heard everything that happened outside. Breakfast was good and fresh and the staff were excellent

Loved this hotel ! We had a room with an outdoor hot tub which was so relaxing ! The breakfast buffet was really good. Hotel staff was excellent . The only negative is no hotel parking but we were able to always find parking on the street near the hotel . Awesome place to stay 😊

When we first found this hotel in 2022 we were so happy. There were not many choices in this area where our family lived. The experience was great and we thought it was a hidden gem. There was a roof top bar which made a lot of difference for this small hotel in a very cowered neighborhood. This is our fourth time staying and unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. There was no housekeeping. And the roof top bar is gone. Not sure if we will be coming back.

Loved it. Modern not far from the metro station. You can be in the city center in 15 minutes. The hotel is super clean and modern. Great view from the terrace where you have breakfast on the 4th floor. I definitely recommend staying at the Newel hotel.

It is a very clean hotel with excellent people but it is not 24 hour reception as they close at 9:00 but because of computerized entry system you can come in anytime. The breakfast is pretty much the same every morning, which I understand is the way the Greek eat breakfast It’s not far from Katahaki metro about 7 minutes walk past the bakery

Newel Psychiko is an impressive, modern-looking hotel. The rooms and lobby area were minimalist and very clean. The location is about a 15-20 minute drive from Central Athens (Plaka, monastiraki, etc) so we had to take more taxis than we expected. I would only note that the room was was not cleaned after we had left a sign on the door to please clean the room. Overall we had a pleasant stay

This hotel was awesome. The staff was fantastic and the whole hotel had a new/trendy vibe. Our suite had a kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a balcony that stretched the entire street side of the hotel. We also had a washing machine in our suite, (no dryer, but we hung our clothes on the balcony). The free breakfast at the rooftop bar was incredible! The Newel was walking distance to a lot of great restaurants and bus stops to get you anywhere you want to go in the city. I was originally nervous about this place because I tried to find it on maps using "street view", but when we arrived it was clear the map just hadn't been updated. :) I would definitely go back!

I've seen in so many Athens hotels over the years and usually they disappoint very badly. Service is still something not quite well understood in Greece for the most part. However, this hotel is extremely well done, and I was very pleased by the service at the front desk as well. The neighborhood is decent and a quick walk to the metro, the only negative I thought of taking a star off for was that this hotel is far too hot in the central corridor, and because there's no air-conditioning in the rooms during the winter, the rooms stay hot as well. But you do have a door you can open for air, and a fan circulation system. Other than that, the breakfast was fantastic, the people were great, and the hotel was beautiful. For the price it beats all of the other hotels I stayed in in Athens. So I'm not taking off a star. They deserve it.

I spent 3 days at Newel Psychiko and I was very pleased with my stay. The hotel is new and stylish with elegant details. The architecture style is minimalistic and the breakfast area is very cozy with beautiful views👌 My room was relaxing and clean with a spacious bathroom and shower and a private balcony. The only things I didn’t like in the room was the mattress and the pillows which do not match the elegance of its spaces - the mattress was very soft with low quality materials unable to support the body enough to get rested while all 4 pillows provided were also very uncomfortable for the back of the neck. I would also like to mention that the mirror is far away from the wardrobe to the other side of the room which was not very convenient when you get dressed and need to cross the whole room to reach the mirror. There was complementary espresso and instant coffee as well as tea, milk , sugar and honey but NO complementary water at all - only option was the mini bar water. There is a fully equipped kitchen where I could prepare my own meals. Breakfast was freshly made with relatively good ingredients and rather limited options. An espresso machine covers all your needs for coffee. The staff was excellent, very well trained and professional and at the same time friendly and ready to support any of my needs. The cleaning ladies were also amazing, very polite and supporting.

The hotel is modern with nice esthetics and a comfortable family suite. However, you cannot lay or lean back on the sofa as the back support falls off. There are no bedside tables and both my husband and I slammed our feet into the raised elevations adjacent to the beds - although the esthetics of the hotel are great, functionality is lacking. Also, transfers to and from the hotel were 120€ one way. Crazy considering we chose this hotel for its closer proximity to the airport. I was able to get transfers through another hotel I stayed at earlier on in the week for 60€ one way!

I had a wonderful 2 nights. My flight arrived at 00:30, so the self check-in was perfect! The room was beautiful, a huge comfy bed & a private balcony! Breakfast was delish & easy to get to Athens to see the sights. I really enjoyed my stay - highly recommend! Thank you to Jo & the team xxx

What a pleasure having him check us in! The other receptionists were also super helpful and reliable when Mario wasn’t around.

This hotel was an interesting stay. The rooms decor was quite good with a mininimalist approach which was classy yet functional. My challenge was the jetted tub did not work and getting it to work was never explained and it was a big disappointment. The biggest disappointment was the claim of sound proofing. Great stay at Newel - Mario and the staff were fantastic and accommodating, lovely breakfast with a lot of choice, great location close to the metro and overall a wonderful stay. Only things to note, parking can be quite tricky and the Penthouse Room lacks a bit of privacy - would benefit from curtains/privacy glass. Other than that, great stay and would return.

What sets the hotel apart is the staff - from the front desk to the morning breakfast team. The hotel room itself has a modern/contemporary style, spacious and very clean. It’s an easy 10 minute walk to the metro making it convenient to the airport and central Athens. It’s also quiet at night!

I've seen in so many Athens hotels over the years and usually they disappoint very badly. Service is still something not quite well understood in Greece for the most part. However, this hotel is extremely well done, and I was very pleased by the service at the front desk as well. The neighborhood is decent and a quick walk to the metro, the only negative I thought of taking a star off for was that this hotel is far too hot in the central corridor, and because there's no air-conditioning in the rooms during the winter, the rooms stay hot as well. But you do have a door you can open for air, and a fan circulation system. Other than that, the breakfast was fantastic, the people were great, and the hotel was beautiful. For the price it beats all of the other hotels I stayed in in Athens. So I'm not taking off a star. They deserve it.

The room itself was nice, but the woman checking us in was very unfriendly and not helpful. The breakfast was fine and the people serving were great and friendly. On our second day asked directions to ATM, never found it. Third morning asked directions to a coffee shop which was very inconvenient for the person at the desk. Response go left or right look and you will find many. Unfortunately we went right walked for a few blocks came back took a taxi and left. As we were leaving we saw 3 coffee shops on the left in close proximity to the hotel. There is not much around the hotel and you must take a 15-20 min taxi ride to get downtown. One desk and 2 chairs in lobby no where to wait except on outside sidewalk.

It’s a shame to give this hotel a low review, but we were quite disappointed. We had previously been asked what time we would be arriving, and I said around 2pm. Once we got to the hotel; we were told the room would be ready at 3, we thought this was no problem so we came back at 3 and proceeded to wait in the lobby for an hour after that, no one told us why, until the room was nearly ready. The reason for the delay was because the hot tub needed to be checked, and it turned out to not work for the duration of our stay. Disappointing trip.

The Newel Psychiko was extremely nice quarters. Nick at the front desk was exceptional with assisting us finding execursions. However, don’t arrive too early as check in is a little bit later. We had to wait until after check-in time for our room because it was still being cleaned BUT it was well worth the wait. I’d stay again. More than enough room and the patio/balcony was AMAZING!!!!

Nice and cute hotel, You have the both of both worlds: A nice hotel, and an apartment with all the necessary stuff to cook if you don’t like to eat out every single day. The people is warming and very nice. 10 minutes is the walking distance to the sub station and from there you get to any Athens location quickly, including the port of Civitavecchia and the Airport. We loved this hotel.

Loved it. Modern not far from the metro station. You can be in the city center in 15 minutes. The hotel is super clean and modern. Great view from the terrace where you have breakfast on the 4th floor. I definitely recommend staying at the Newel hotel.

Newel Psychiko is an impressive, modern-looking hotel. The rooms and lobby area were minimalist and very clean. The location is about a 15-20 minute drive from Central Athens (Plaka, monastiraki, etc) so we had to take more taxis than we expected. I would only note that the room was was not cleaned after we had left a sign on the door to please clean the room. Overall we had a pleasant stay

I spent 3 days at Newel Psychiko and I was very pleased with my stay. The hotel is new and stylish with elegant details. The architecture style is minimalistic and the breakfast area is very cozy with beautiful views👌 My room was relaxing and clean with a spacious bathroom and shower and a private balcony. The only things I didn’t like in the room was the mattress and the pillows which do not match the elegance of its spaces - the mattress was very soft with low quality materials unable to support the body enough to get rested while all 4 pillows provided were also very uncomfortable for the back of the neck. I would also like to mention that the mirror is far away from the wardrobe to the other side of the room which was not very convenient when you get dressed and need to cross the whole room to reach the mirror. There was complementary espresso and instant coffee as well as tea, milk , sugar and honey but NO complementary water at all - only option was the mini bar water. There is a fully equipped kitchen where I could prepare my own meals. Breakfast was freshly made with relatively good ingredients and rather limited options. An espresso machine covers all your needs for coffee. The staff was excellent, very well trained and professional and at the same time friendly and ready to support any of my needs. Loved this hotel ! We had a room with an outdoor hot tub which was so relaxing ! The breakfast buffet was really good. Hotel staff was excellent . The only negative is no hotel parking but we were able to always find parking on the street near the hotel . Awesome place to stay 😊

We stayed in the penthouse suite and it was absolutely lovely, as pictured. The Newell is a very modern building, so guests should be aware of that design concept when booking - there’s a minimalist aspect to the esthetic that some may not fully appreciate. The breakfast buffet was exceptional! A wide variety of items to choose from and varied slightly each day. A couple a minor tweaks that would have put it over-the top for us would have been better streaming options on the TV (only Android users could connect) and the ability to adjust the hot tub temperature (only got warm so we used it once).

Plenty of hotels of similar class and price points in the centre of Athens that actually deliver on their service promises. The neighborhood is decent and a quick walk to the metro, the only negative I thought of taking a star off for was that this hotel is far too hot in the central corridor, and because there's no air-conditioning in the rooms during the winter, the rooms stay hot as well. But you do have a door you can open for air, and a fan circulation system. Other than that, the breakfast was fantastic, the people were great, and the hotel was beautiful. For the price it beats all of the other hotels I stayed in in Athens. So I'm not taking off a star. They deserve it.
