The House is an authentic 1907 home in great condition. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is great. And it is really well located so that you can easily walk to the waterfront, 2 Main St., into the historic district. We had a great time.

Noah and Gigi were fabulous hosts, made us feel so welcome! Home was beautifully decorated and well kept and the bed was fabulously comfortable! Another bonus is the location, was able to walk to the farmers market on Saturday morning in 5 minutes and walk to downtown and the harbor in less than 10.

PLUS: A beautiful heritage building with a very nice bedroom. It smelled fine. The bathroom was immaculate and had very good water pressure for the shower. We enjoyed sitting on the swing on the porch. Location was very convenient, walking distance to many attractions. But the breakfast was terrible! Food appeared to have been purchased off the shelf/out of the freezer, not homemade. We asked for hot black tea and were given lukewarm water - the water remained clear after 5 minutes - could not steep. The teabags smelled musty and looked very aged. It did not taste good. The check-in and eating areas smelled very musty. We had hoped for a memorable breakfast that would leave us with a positive feeling about the place. For what we paid, we expected a better breakfast.

Beautiful home, comfortable room and bed, very quiet space which is exactly what I was looking for. The grounds were so pretty including the majestic mature trees, lighted trellis, and pollinator plants. The host was super sweet. I appreciated the well selected, unique art. Parking was plentiful and you're a quick walk to the downtown area. The weather was VERY hot and humid and the Captain's Quarters AC worked very well, for which I was grateful. With all due respect breakfast could be better - I think they're trying to do too much rather than focus on one or two core items they're really good at. I loved that they had a large water dispenser for reusable bottles - single use plastic is terrible for our health and the environment. Great stay!

Everything was exceptional! Our checkin in was easy and efficient! The manager on duty was extremely helpful with suggestions and information. There were freshly baked light snacks at the checkin desk. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful! Freshly baked scones and French toast! The porch was relaxing and peaceful with plenty of room to distance yourself from others! The rooms were large with ample pillows! The bed was amazingly comfortable! We will be back again soon!!

The room was fine. It was clean. However it was not as it appears in the pictures. The bathroom was super small, and not at all as shown. Also, it seems the TV remote control controls all the TVs, even in the room next door! This made it difficult keeping our TV on the channel we were watching. The staff was super friendly, and the breakfast was good. The coffee is delicious and we bought a couple bags of it from the coffee shop downtown.

Our room was spotless and everyone was very nice. The breakfast was excellent with home baked starters and your choice of eggs or the special. You can park your car and walk to shops and restaurants and lots of historic sights. Or you can just take walks and admire the beautiful homes and architecture. Can't wait to stay there again.

Wow! Charming property in a quintessentially quaint southern town. Comfortable, clean, and convenient to the things we like to do, such as kayak, dine out, check out the local culture (like karyoke night at the downtown wine shop and a game by the local minor league baseball team). The hosts are beyond amazing. Attendion to detail, lovely breakfast daily, and just the sweetest folks. I'll return again and again!

The room was comfortable and spacious. The sitting area was not meant for long term sitting / working / conversation, but most would not care. Lots of windows and the shutters did a great job darkening the room & minimizing exterior light when desired. The mattress was acceptable (moved every time he did - but that is my problem) and the pillow selection was wonderful - a bit of everything was available. You will need to go next door (same property) for some of the amenities (ice, water, inside sitting area, and breakfast.) The staff was super friendly and the food was very good. We enjoyed our stay.

The room was comfortable and spacious. The sitting area was not meant for long term sitting / working / conversation, but most would not care. Lots of windows and the shutters did a great job darkening the room & minimizing exterior light when desired. The mattress was acceptable (moved every time he did - but that is my problem) and the pillow selection was wonderful - a bit of everything was available. Nice historical buildings and neighborhood. Easy walking to many places, especially vibrant downtown of historical interest, boutique shops, movie theater, restaurants, parks, playground, Saturday and Wednesday farmer’s market, etc. Thoroughly enjoyed every breakfast at the Inn, delivered by friendly staff. The innkeepers were proactive communicators and always available.

The only reason I'm not pleased with this trip is because we were charged twice for our stay. I have contacted the property and still have not been refunded the duplicate charge. I have tried to use the chat feature with Hotels.com to resolve but keep getting kicked out of the chat. The holel, staff, and food were excellent during our stay. The only problem is that I was charged twice for the entire cost of our stay.

The only reason I'm not pleased with this trip is because we were charged twice for our stay. I have contacted the property and still have not been refunded the duplicate charge. The House is an authentic 1907 home in great condition. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is great. And it is really well located so that you can easily walk to the waterfront, 2 Main St., into the historic district. We had a great time.

Noah and Gigi were fabulous hosts, made us feel so welcome! Home was beautifully decorated and well kept and the bed was fabulously comfortable! Another bonus is the location, was able to walk to the farmers market on Saturday morning in 5 minutes and walk to downtown and the harbor in less than 10.

Lovely bed and breakfast. Everything was easy - checking in, checking out, breakfast. The staff was very warm, friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and have already recommended to friends.

Our room was spotless and everyone was very nice. The breakfast was excellent with home baked starters and your choice of eggs or the special. You can park your car and walk to shops and restaurants and lots of historic sights. Or you can just take walks and admire the beautiful homes and architecture. Can't wait to stay there again.

Edenton is a place so rich with an incredible history, and has some hidden gem eateries as well! The people are friendly and welcoming, and the main area is cute and very walkable. This was my second trip to Edenton and my second stay at Captain's Quarters. It is a perfect B&B, and I'm looking forward to returning to Edenton and staying there again!

Beautiful home, comfortable room and bed, very quiet space which is exactly what I was looking for. The grounds were so pretty including the majestic mature trees, lighted trellis, and pollinator plants. The host was super sweet. I appreciated the well selected, unique art. Parking was plentiful and you're a quick walk to the downtown area. The weather was VERY hot and humid and the Captain's Quarters AC worked very well, for which I was grateful. With all due respect breakfast could be better - I think they're trying to do too much rather than focus on one or two core items they're really good at. I loved that they had a large water dispenser for reusable bottles - single use plastic is terrible for our health and the environment. Great stay!

Nice historical buildings and neighborhood. Easy walking to many places, especially vibrant downtown of historical interest, boutique shops, movie theater, restaurants, parks, playground, Saturday and Wednesday farmer’s market, etc. Thoroughly enjoyed every breakfast at the Inn, delivered by friendly staff. The innkeepers were proactive communicators and always available.

Wow! Charming property in a quintessentially quaint southern town. Comfortable, clean, and convenient to the things we like to do, such as kayak, dine out, check out the local culture (like karyoke night at the downtown wine shop and a game by the local minor league baseball team). The hosts are beyond amazing. Attendion to detail, lovely breakfast daily, and just the sweetest folks. I'll return again and again!

PLUS: A beautiful heritage building with a very nice bedroom. It smelled fine. The bathroom was immaculate and had very good water pressure for the shower. We enjoyed sitting on the swing on the porch. Location was very convenient, walking distance to many attractions. But the breakfast was terrible! Food appeared to have been purchased off the shelf/out of the freezer, not homemade. We asked for hot black tea and were given lukewarm water - the water remained clear after 5 minutes - could not steep. The teabags smelled musty and looked very aged. It did not taste good. The check-in and eating areas smelled very musty. We had hoped for a memorable breakfast that would leave us with a positive feeling about the place. For what we paid, we expected a better breakfast.

Everything was exceptional! Our checkin in was easy and efficient! The manager on duty was extremely helpful with suggestions and information. There were freshly baked light snacks at the checkin desk. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful! Freshly baked scones and French toast! The porch was relaxing and peaceful with plenty of room to distance yourself from others! The rooms were large with ample pillows! The bed was amazingly comfortable! We will be back again soon!!

The best amenity was the sound machine as the walls were quite thin! Of course we just laughed at the sounds/ noises from behind the wall of the Navigator room! You just have to have sense of humor in life!! There were several slamming doors throughout the night in the hallway making it seem like your room was being opened.The staff, breakfast were great. We really needed new towels if staying 2 days but all in all lovely atmosphere, the pergolas were a nice relaxing point same as the stunning Capt’s Quarters porch.Loved it❤️Would definitly stay again. Loved the sweet charming southern accents. The decor absolutely stunning and comfortable.

We had a good stay but this is not “luxury.” Stayed in the Mariner room. Our room was small but cozy. Very comfortable sleep. White noise machine in the room helped. Unable to control room temperature but we were comfortable, none the less. Bathroom is tiny. One person only and nowhere to really put a dopp kit or toiletry bag. They made the best out of a small space. Definitely needed some upkeep in the bathroom. For an elevated r patience, just feel like porches should have been swept and seating fluffed and set up daily. Also, like others mentioned, unless you stay in the main house, there is no access to coffee, tea, waters or other amenities after 10 pm. Breakfast seems to be eggs only as a main course. Unfortunate if you can’t eat or don’t like eggs. They do serve meat options and fruit. Would be nice to be able to get pancakes or waffles. We spent time in the main house in the evenings but would have been great to have some music playing to help with the extreme quiet. It just didn’t feel welcoming, although the home is beautiful and there are speakers in the ceiling. The people are exceptional but they may need more staff. On arrival, there is no one to welcome you. You have to call and it seems rushed. All in all, not a bad stay, but we would not be compelled to return.
