I had a nice stay at The Pine Inn in Pine River. The accommodations were nice but I had hoped that they could have had a fridge in the room. The employees were very nice. I would stay there again if need be.

Free breakfast was listed on the Expedia site but the staff at the motel said they haven't offered breakfast for several years. The facility was getting their door lock system repaired or replaced. We were not issued keys and told to ask the front desk staff to unlock our door if we left and needed reentry. The door lock plunger was actually taped down so the door couldn't latch. We could use the deadbolt while in the room but when we left, the room was not able to be locked. Fortunately, Pine River is a small, safe community so we didn't have any issues.

Enjoyed my stay. Nancy at the front desk was awesome and friendly people staying here. Was able to park my bike right outside the room. Bad storm last night, but I didn't hear a thing and slept great!

This motel is very basic. It offers no amenities. It needs quite a bit of maintenance and TLC but it is clean and the bed was comfortable. We needed a place to stay because we were in town for a wedding and didn’t want to make the 2+ hour trip home afterwards.

This is a thrifty motel. No extras here. Price is very fair and the staff was friendly and helpful. We knew what we signed up for. It is directly across the street from the Paul Bunyan Trail and we stayed at different places along the way to ride as much of it as we could. Try the DamSite restaurant just up the road in downtown Pine River. We would stay here again.

Very nice stay. Room was clean, service was friendly and price was reasonable. Many ATV/UTV riders stayed for morning ride at nearby Spider Lake State trails.

It was the only hotel in the area. It’s old, and about as comfortable as it can get i suppose. We missed breakfast by 1 minute. The kids were tired and hungry. There was a group of men hanging out in the patio area drinking and laughing, which was sort of intimidating to us, and didnt make us feel any safer at check in.

The room was as bare bones as any I’ve ever stayed in. Amenities sorely lacking. However, the check in woman was amazing. Nancy was friendly, courteous and helpful. Plus it seemed she was a one-woman show. REMARKABLE

The property was close to where I needed to be. Other than that it was not clean. There were socks from previous people under the bed. Screens broken, on the windows, and dirty and dusty most places. The supplied breakfast was bagged bread. The person who was at the hotel was nice, it just wasn't clean or kept up.

Woke up with bed bug bites. Would never stay there again. Staff was friendly though. Bathroom light fixture had bulb cover sitting on ledge my husband put the cover on the light fixture no tissue in the box that was provided by the inn.

Room was not ready. Gave us keys to a room that was open and bed sheets on the floor. Room we got had no fridge One bed boxspring looked like a crime scene happened on it, Blood or fecal stained on it. Bathroom was dirty

Right off the main road so easy to find. Easy check in and friendly staff. It was a comfortable stay although heaters could use some updating. I wanted to warm up the room a bit so I turned on the heater. It made such a strong odor I had to turn it off and open a window.

Property is older and does not have much updated. The bathroom window panel was broken. The furniture was old. The tv had to reset every time we turned it on. They charged 35$ extra to have a dog per night which was higher then others. It did have a hair dryer and microwave and coffee maker. It was quiet too.

There were some very loud guests, tv and some lights didn’t work. The microwave was very dirty with leftover food crumbs in it. Key cards randomly stopped working. The beds were comfortable. It’s just a place to sleep with earplugs.

We had quite a few bugs in the room. In the morning I was able to see there was a large gap at the bottom of the door - no seal. The drain in the shower was extremely slow, left us showering in standing water. And the curtains were so long they covered the A/C so it couldn't efficiently cool the room.

Our stay was good. The room isn't anything special, but it was an affordable option to the resorts in the area, and we just needed a place to sleep at the end of the day. Nancy was fantastic as a hostess, and she was eager to assist with our requests. The continental breakfast is spartan, but we weren't counting on it for our morning meal anyway. It was a small room, but it was clean and comfortable.

The desk clerk couldn’t find my name when I was checking in. They charged me an additional $5.71 for local taxes which they could not explain when I asked for clarification. Breakfast was a joke. Some day old rolls and lousy coffee. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy or a homeless person!

Nancy is to sweet and accommodating. I had to check in late and she was so kind. The room was very clean and actually very quiet. It's convenient to the places I need to go to.

We left the property after 1 night. The first room we were assigned the door was open, the power didn't work, and the door could be pushed open. The second room did not have any water pressure because there was a water leak behind the wall leaking into a different room. We had to stay there as it was late and it was the only place for many miles. The service was poor and the clerk had to continuously call the general manager on speaker phone. I am still trying to get my money back.

Nancy was very helpful and made sure that our stay was a good one, I had several questions and she answered them without hesitation, she even made sure that I came back to get my cell that I had left behind in the room, she makes this place run smoothly!!

There was no one there when I came to check in. The office was locked and not a person in sight. No one answered the little speaker box on the door until about 15 min went by. By 20 minutes the staff showed up by car. There was a musty odor in the room.

Our reservation was secured with a credit card. Yet when we checked in at approximately 9:00pm they couldnt find a payment from Expedia. Although i called prior to confirm. Sheets were paper thin. No bedding blanket, only the bedspread (which we never use) normally it is removed. All rooms were booked in area of Baxter, Nisswa or we would of left immediately. P People were out drinking by garbage and a table. We just left. No dispute, just said it was unclean too dirty. Cost was $300.00 and stayed 1 night. We have family in the area.

Just a short stop in Pine River for a sleep before heading further north. The Pine River Inn is conveniently located, well priced, very clean, and served the purpose well. The property is under new ownership and the management is terrific....so friendly, so accommodating, and they LOVE small dogs. If you're up that way and need a place to lay your head, I'd highly recommend giving the Pine River Inn a try.

Very nice stay. Room was clean, service was friendly and price was reasonable. Many ATV/UTV riders stayed for morning ride at nearby Spider Lake State trails.

Check in clerk was Super Nice and Friendly. We also needed a room with a microwave and she switched us right away with no hassle. You get what you pay for. Nothing fancy and the place is dated, but if you're just looking for a clean comfy place to sleep with a nice hot shower with good water pressure...this is it. Quiet and convenient location also a plus!

Just a short stop in Pine River for a sleep before heading further north. The Pine River Inn is conveniently located, well priced, very clean, and served the purpose well. The property is under new ownership and the management is terrific....so friendly, so accommodating, and they LOVE small dogs. If you're up that way and need a place to lay your head, I'd highly recommend giving the Pine River Inn a try.

Free breakfast was listed on the Expedia site but the staff at the motel said they haven't offered breakfast for several years. The facility was getting their door lock system repaired or replaced. We were not issued keys and told to ask the front desk staff to unlock our door if we left and needed reentry. The door lock plunger was actually taped down so the door couldn't latch. We could use the deadbolt while in the room but when we left, the room was not able to be locked. Fortunately, Pine River is a small, safe community so we didn't have any issues.

Our stay was good. The room isn't anything special, but it was an affordable option to the resorts in the area, and we just needed a place to sleep at the end of the day. Nancy was fantastic as a hostess, and she was eager to assist with our requests. The continental breakfast is spartan, but we weren't counting on it for our morning meal anyway. It was a small room, but it was clean and comfortable.

The desk clerk couldn’t find my name when I was checking in. They charged me an additional $5.71 for local taxes which they could not explain when I asked for clarification. Breakfast was a joke. Some day old rolls and lousy coffee. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy or a homeless person!

Not a great place to stay. I did not find many choices in this area. Any thing is better than nothing. I do not think the breakfast is even a breakfast. Better take your own.

The property was close to where I needed to be. Other than that it was not clean. There were socks from previous people under the bed. Screens broken, on the windows, and dirty and dusty most places. The supplied breakfast was bagged bread. The person who was at the hotel was nice, it just wasn't clean or kept up.

We didn't get to stay in our room. The door was frozen shut by the time we got back at the end of the night. The front desk help had to break in through the window to get our stuff. The owner "doesn't answer his phone on sundays" so there were no apologies or anything. The staff was throwing hot water on door in -6 weather. The other staff was trying to get a haie dryer. To say this was a clusterf**k, would be putting it mildly. I would love to post pictures, but the "add a photo" button below seems to be broken.

We left the property after 1 night. The first room we were assigned the door was open, the power didn't work, and the door could be pushed open. The second room did not have any water pressure because there was a water leak behind the wall leaking into a different room. We had to stay there as it was late and it was the only place for many miles. The service was poor and the clerk had to continuously call the general manager on speaker phone. I am still trying to get my money back.

After reading so many terrible reviews we tried to cancel and had no luck. We did not want to go to a hotel with such a bad reputation. We took the loss and went somewhere else.
