I absolutely LOVED the Crane Resort! The resort was it’s own little community. There were restaurants, 5 different pools, a beach on the property, and a convenience store on the premises. You really didn’t have to leave the resort if you didn’t want to. The staff were so so helpful and accommodating. The room looked like a mini apartment. I’ve already recommended this resort to my family and friends. When I come back to Barbados, I’m definitely staying at the Crane Resort.

Overall our stay at the Crane was fantastic. It offers you amazing views, the swimming pools are fantastic. The beach was very dirty due to sea weed. They do not have an outdoor heated pool which I feel they should have nor do they have a hot outdoor jacuzzi. Also the small whirlpool is cold so we didn't end up really enjoying it. Overall though we may come again, but will NOT get a room with whirlpool.

This property and landscaping were top notch. Easy walk to all restaurants. Unfortunately the beach had seaweed and was closed for our whole visit. The pools were great.

This is a historic property, wonderfully maintained and updated. We loved the variety of restaurants and other venues for drinks & apps. There are 5-6 different pools on the property and we had no trouble finding shade when we needed it. Overall, we loved our 6 days at The Crane!

The property grounds are beautiful. We had a spacious two bedroom unit with a nice view from the balcony. The beach however was unusable our entire stay due to an influx of sargassam. The resort does offer a shuttle to a beach about a half hour away which is beautiful. During our stay for two days the pools were closed due to servicing which was disappointing. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Food was inconsistent and we ate at many of the restaurants offered. The managers cocktail party on Monday was very nice and we appreciate it. We had no TV service for 5 days which they did fix and give us a credit on our bill for. This resort could be spectacular but there are many kinks to work out and there is a ton of construction going on all over the properties. The onsite grocery is a nice feature and the prices were as reasonable as other groceries we visited on the island. If planning to stay here I would suggest renting a car so you can explore other beaches because it sounds like this beach has many weeks it is not usuable due to the mounds and mounds of seaweed. I don’t know what the issue with the pools was, but with the beach not usable this is a big drawback for us. We did enjoy the stay overall and if you’re lucky enough to be able to use the beach here I would recommend it.

Well-kept grounds and buildings considering the age of the property. It was convenient to have so many restaurants and shopping options available without having to leave the resort. I also enjoyed the pool options and the view was spectacular.

Excellent hotel. Stunning rooms and location. Crane beach is simply beautiful. Unfortunately there was a lot of building work and drilling going on for most of the day so this limited the time we could spend by the main pools but there were plenty of other pools and the beach. Pool loungers are dated and the blue ones look dirty. This could be easily rectified but the resort chose not to do anything about this when I reported it last year. Overall a stunning place.

The family pool area was gross. The bathrooms were closed. There was a big pipe coming out and a smell of sewage. There being nowhere no nearby toilets, where do you think people were peeing?? Eww. We had no soap in the room so had to use shower gel to wash our hands. They cleaned the room but left no new clean towels. Asked a few times til the towels showed up.

We have loved & stayed at The Crane since early 2000s & this was our 4th stay. This time we booked a 2 bedroom unit with a private pool. The unit was lovely as ever but dirty. Our friend took her shoes off walking around the villa &when she went to bed her feet were filthy. You couldn't see through the windows & the furniture desperately needs to be replaced. The black mold on the outside of the buildings was disgusting, unsightly & easily fixed. The $60 EC Buffet breakfast was overpriced as was the Zen restaurant. Cocktails at the Bar were excellent & so was the food (we gladly paid those bills). As always, the staff was friendly, accommodating & happy to serve & satisfy their guests. Unfortunately (and through no fault of the resorts at all) the Sargasso on the beach was plentiful, stinky & unsightly. We encountered it throughout our travels in the Grenadines. Just bad timing! We still love this property & location but they desperately need to address the cleanliness of their suites & buildings.

While the property itself (beach and grounds) are beautiful, the resort itself is very dated and rundown. The adult pool is green and the other pools, while blue, are dirty. I didn’t feel comfortable getting in either. Barbados is beautiful and we will be returning but not to The Crane Hotel. This resort is definitely overpriced for the value received.

The resort was beautiful. But there was lots of mosquitoes in the room. we had to have a net over our bed. Not enough shopping or much to do. it's kinda boring to stay at the resort for long time. The crickets are very noisy and loud at sunset until 5 or even 6am. Not recommend for jewish people, because they're nothing to eat for us. They're plenty for non jewish. Even when u go to the shops nothing for jewish people to eat. The beach at the resort is not clean due to the due to the seaweed. The hotel has a bus shuttle that takes people to and from another beach about 35 minutes. I liked the beach, but its a waste of time to be at the bea h from 10am till 3 and the day is gone just for the beach I didn't like the idia of non transport from ant to the airport. It's costus 23 each way.

The upgraded room with the pool in the back, was breathtaking, but there were many huge cockroaches! Had to keep calling the front desk to come and get them!! Bellboy, Anthony was extremely helpful. The women in the restaurant where breakfast is served, that were in charge of making the omelets, horrible! Their attitude sucked! Besides those minuet things, I’d give the resort 7 stars out of 10!

A hotel that seems to concentrate on selling timeshare. Our bedroom tired and dated. Lots of staff in resort but not in right roles. Bad service in restaurant and lack of staff around pool. Swiming pools needed cleaning (green scum) with missing tiles and scaffolding erected in main pool with repairs needed to bridge dividing two pools. Just not great.

This was our first trip to Barbados. We booked this resort as it came highly recommended. It was beautiful, safe and clean. Staff was polite and helpful. Easy access to Crane Beach. Lots of food choices. A general store to purchase food that we cooked ourselves made it easy and cost effective with our young kids. Our only issue was the cost to travel to different parts of the island. Taxi/Uber were quite expensive so we stayed at the resort most days.

Found x2 cockroaches in my room. Dirty curtain/blinds in the room. Dirty toilet roll holder. Informed manager with pictures and all that was offered to me was for my room to be sprayed with BOP!! She also highlighted to me that I would not be compensated in anyway!?! I have stayed at the Crane x3 times and this was th first time I was completely disappointed. However, Cheryl at the main desk was amazing

Our stay at The Crane Resort was absolutely unforgettable. The suite we stayed in was incredibly spacious, beautifully designed, and felt like our own private getaway. Loved the Crane - will be back, The room was so well thought out - comfortable, spacious, lots of storage, The kitchen had the basics yet we were still able to create some great gourmet meals, which helped with our food expenses. The restaurants we went to were also excellent. My only complaint was there was no hot water in the shower. The plumber did a repair but still the water was just barely warm for a shower. Other people in our party had really hot water - so it was just our room. Will still return!

Amazing views. Large room with great views/balcony. Suite had a private elevator to underground parking. Very friendly staff. Only 2 areas for improvement. AC did struggle and kitchen could have a few more pans etc. But overall I would recommend it!

The suite was designed for relaxing and privacy! The plunge pool was FABULOUS! The walking group and yoga were terrific ways to start the day. The adults only pool and serenity lawn were designed for relaxation. It was an exquisite experience at The Crane. Love to return again!

Beautiful property, very much giving luxury. However the dining options were terrible. Had to go out, at least 35mins to a decent restaurant. Their main restaurant was closed. Spacious, well appointed rooms, friendly, accommodating staff, 3 fantastic restaurants, fun entertainment each evening in the town square. Improvements to the exterior and windows going on and understandable but kind of sad as the original plantation shutters and luvered doors are a great feature to enjoy the amazing trade winds. What they lack in 5-star amenities, they make up for in historic charm and character. We enjoyed our stay enough to extend it. Highly recommend

The Crane Resort has everything needed for a relaxed stay in one location. Our Junior Suite with partial ocean views was smaller than expected. The bedroom and wardrobe space was small. There was no space to store luggage, except in the living/dining area, which then reduced the available space there. The kitchen area was well stocked with utensils but had limited cupboard/drawer space and nowhere to store groceries except on the worktop. The advertised room details were slightly ambiguous as we were expecting a suite with a pool and hot tub! Apparently, the booking was for a suite only. Overall, we adapted and made the most of it.

The hotel failed to get my last name thru the Expedia reservation. Led to 30 minute delay checking in. However - hats off to the desk clerk who pressed on to find the problem. We stayed in one of the private residence suites at the Crane . I’m not sure who was at fault the Hilton or the Crane itself in addition to the owners of the suite. We had no AC in living quarters, And only portable AC in our bedrooms that barely kept it livable. I had no water supply to my bathroom sink on arrival. All the appliances were cheap as dirt.. The sofa bed was disgusting. The cushions fell inside the frame when you sat on it .The base of the beds were uncovered, and very dirty. The pillows were filled with squares of hard foam .. unbelievable that someone would think you could sleep on this. the lights around the perimeter of the penthouse lounge did not work. Many of the pictures had been removed from the walls. Only hangers hanging there. There was no coffee table to put any drinks on.. the furniture was very outdated ,uncomfortable .. cheap cheap cheap…if they try to put you in suite 5144 run for the hills!!! I can’t believe an owner would furnish a supposedly luxury suite like this and I can’t believe the Crane or Hilton did not inspect this unit and not rent it .It was disgusting and a waste of money. Ruined our whole trip.

All around great experience, friendly, staff inclusive of the chefs and spa teams. The check in attendant extended a warm welcome and was very accommodating with my late check in. I particularly appreciated all the follow up to requests and prompt messaging and call responses. 10/10! I highly recommend and I will be back!

Unfortunately we experienced a number of issues associated with staff service which really detracted from our stay. Our expectation of the hotel alongside the high cost for the stay were not met due to a poor front desk first check in and ongoing house keeping issues with our room. We had travelled from asia and have been lucky to experience Asian hotel hospitality and this didn’t even come close to matching the warm and positive experiences we have had in the past. A lot of general staff walking round and working on the grounds were excellent but front desk and house keeping caused some unenjoyable moments.

Service took a very long time: at restaurants, at the pool. Not great service in general. Asked for non-dairy milk with my coffee every morning and sometimes they’d say they don’t have it sometimes they said they did. One morning they said they didn’t have it but the café did and no one offered to go get some from the café. Would ask for things multiple times before receiving. Asked for a shuttle to go to Oistens, were told we were put on the list and then they told us we were never on the list. Just lots of little things that made it certainly not a stellar experience. Beautiful surroundings, loved our room, but very itchy bedding. Just not what I’d expect for the cost.

Overall, The Crane is a beautiful property. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, which was clean and spacious. The staff was nice. However, the service needs improvement. We ordered room service, only to receive something different, and to be told the item we ordered was no longer on the menu. Also, we ordered breakfast, and was told 45mins. However, we waited over 2hrs, and never received it.

The crane is a very nice property that isn’t crowded. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. The crane is on the expensive side though and not necessarily worth it. Food was generally good but quite overpriced. The beach was unuseable on almost all days due to the seaweed. And the hotel is located on a part of the island that isn’t close to much else so taxis were very expensive. We would stay again but only at a discounted price.

The Crane is a beautiful property. It is unfortunate the beach is not swimmable. Service was extremely slow at all of the restaurant at the beach, and near the pools. For the price I expected service to be better. Overall a good stay, would return. I would highly recommend a rental car for those wishing to explore the island.

The room has a wonderfully large bath - however I dont think I saw anything on the website to say that access to the bath does require you to be quite physically fit and mobile due to large step up and over the ledge to access shower & bath. Unable to get reservations at restaurants during our 3 day stay as they were all ready booked up. Went to the bar - service very slow, bar stacked with empty glasses....seemed like not enough staff and/or facilities for them to cater for the number of guests.

The hotel was helpful in arranging a rental car for us, which allowed us to explore other parts of the island on our own. We were also unexpectedly charged $420 without any explanation as to what the charge was for. It turned out to be a “mistake” made by the hotel, and I was told that the money would be refunded within 2–5 business days…

June 2026 - We spent five nights at The Crane Resort in Barbados and had a wonderful stay. The standout was the exceptional service. Every staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Our oceanfront king room with a fourth-floor plunge pool was spacious, and the views of the cliffs and ocean were absolutely breathtaking. The private plunge pool was a great idea, but the water was too cold to enjoy. Fortunately, both resort pools were excellent, especially the quiet pool. Don't miss the scenic overlooks around the property, and the nearby village with several great restaurants was wonderful. We also had one of the best massages we've ever experienced at the spa. This resort is fairly remote, so if you plan to explore Barbados extensively, renting a car is a good idea. We were there to relax, and the location was perfect. My only criticism is that the property could use some maintenance. There was noticeable wood rot in places, missing pool tiles, and some of the beautiful landscaping looked overdue for attention. It's still a stunning historic resort, but it's beginning to show its age. Overall, we thought The Crane offered excellent value for the price. Given the choice, I'll take outstanding service over perfect facilities every time, and the wonderful staff made this a trip we'd happily recommend.
