Filthy ice machine didn't work bed was lumpy shower had no pressure

This property is old and rundown. Though the room was decent there was no ice available and the old hair dryer caused an electric shock when the cover plate fell off leaving exposed wiring! Add to that the driveway pavement was completely broken up with huge potholes in place. For a few more dollars a night I would have chosen someplace else had I known.

we loved that it is quiet the room was clean no carpet that was good, and the restaurant attached to it which was very convenient for us. the location put us at bbq trail Lockheart bbq, Smitty bbq, and terry blacks bbq that was terrific. no pool , and one ice machine for the whole property which didn't have any when I went to it. location of the ice machine looks unsanitary.

The Mexican restaurant next to it make us the stay perfect. The food is good at the restaurant and have happy hours latter and you just has to walk to your room. Also the swimming pool is clean and is open 24 hrs. as an advise you just has to do some investments to make the rooms look more modern and competitive to be 5 stars.

Mr. Patel is a friendly person who means well for his guests, but this a dated, rundown and very large property that is way past its prime--from the cracked driveway to the scratches on the room wall. The pool was filled with green water and unusable, though I saw an employee adding chlorine to kill the algae. I don't envy his family--it would take a king's ransom to get this property back in good shape. But he's trying.

The hotel itself is in bad shape, the room we had was in pretty bad shape, the sheets looked dirty, the door and the walls were damaged, and the toilet had leak. The pool the water was green, and you couldn't swim in it.

This is certainly a no frills establishment but is exactly what I like. The room was spacious and had everything I needed. I did not use the pool but others did so I suppose it was decent. I did not experience any bugs. Casa Jalisco is on the property and was good and priced fair. They even have karaoke on Friday and Saturday which I did. If you just need to lay your head for the night this is a great place. The front desk man was friendly.

Location of the hotel is great!! Room was sketchy, piece of shower wall cut out with big noticeable gap, which made us uncomfortable. Had to shove a towel in the gap incase of hidden camera. (You never know) Bathroom was overall dirty, pubic hair all in the bathtub. Cable didn't work in room, kept trying to load... good thing we brought our PlayStation. Wifi was good. Went to look for ice machine, found it....cord was stretched to the max and of course didn't work. Went walking around to maybe find another one, but instead found some late night crack head mechanics working on there 98 mustang. Our patio had a great view of the pool and also included several empty Corona negra courts of beer. Beds were decent, price point was the best part of the stay $200 for 2 nights versus $600 at other hotels in town for 2 nights.

The owners of the property should take more pride in their business. Rotten wood, termites, parking lot a mess with pot holes and broken concrete, old mattresses and trash thrown under an awning. Looks like “slum lord” facilities. I had two rooms. Mine… no coffee pot, no blow dryer, no microwave, dusty furniture, old furniture that was mismatched. There was a black ring around the bottom of the wall that looked like the room may have flooded. Plus side, bed was ok and A/C worked well. The pillows sucked. My sons room had all of the above mentioned appliances but his bed sheets were stained and the bed spread had blood stains on it. They felt the room was haunted as the blow dryer fell off the wall in the middle of the nights and their bags tipped over and fell to the floor for no reason. I know the rooms are in expensive , but with alot of TLC. They could remodel and charge more. Could be a cute country town place to stay but needs lots of work. The man at the desk was very nice and friendly though.

Literally a roach motel. Turned on the light and the roaches scattered. Next door people had two pit bulls and the dogs tied to the front pole. The property is definitely not maintained.

First, the staff was very kind and sweet. They are the only reason a second star was given. My experience was not great as I had initially booked a nonsmoking room I believed to be pet friendly. Only come to find out the room was not pet friendly. No where in the reservation did it dictate if rooms were specifically pet friendly or not. We had to stay in a smoking room as that was all they had available for pet friendly rooms. It was the grossest hotel room I have ever stayed in. I could not walk around barefoot as the bottoms of my feet were BLACK from the floor not being swept. There were several fixtures that were fixed with packing tape. There was a duct tape lining over the adjoins room door. Horrible markings on the door. THE DOOR DID NOT SHUT ALL THE WAY. It locked thankfully, but the bottom was cracked and light came through. Due to this crack, everything in the room was a bit moist as it was humid. The bathroom door did not lock. There was a light bulb missing and no light fixture in the bathroom. Leaving an exposed light bulb and open weirded space above the shower. The shower rod was broken and falling off. The shower took about 5 minutes to heat up . I would not recommend staying in a smoking room as it seems it lacked general and basic cleaning. The sheets were clean though and no bugs were present, so win for us there. Overall super gross and disappointing. With such a nice staff it was unexpected.

The room was dirty already and mold on the bottom of the wall. And they gave me some little coffee maker that completely did not work so we had to go get coffee every day we were there…. So no I do not recommend!!!!👎

Arriving seemed fine for a little road side motel. When we entered the room-the floor was filthy, dead bugs, dirt and grime. The toilet didn’t want to flush. No hot water. The Tv didn’t work. It was awful. We barely slept due to parties in the rooms next door on both sides. We left 2 days early and found a new hotel. Pictures are NOT what they offer. Avoid.

The door to the room did not close completely. The bedding was dirty. The overran room was dirty.

Roches

Nasty roach infested crap hole. We walked in and left immediately and went elsewhere. Booked a non smoking verified at check in and still got a smoking room.

Yikes. My standards are not high when it comes to motels, particularly because we were staying one night. It was dirty, like really dirty. Large empty 32 oz. yogurt container in the corner, not sure how you miss that when cleaning. There was hair all over the bathroom and the trail of dead ants sprayed with Raid was left behind. Yucky.

The first room given to me I had to reuse. The door didn’t shut or lock. The only way it would be “locked” was with the swing hook because it literally would not latch at the handle and door frame. Had to wait 30 minutes after my arrival for another room. Looked like they moved 2 beds out of the room to put in the king I reserved. No hot water in the shower, literally tape covering holes in the shower. There was a gap under the so large you could put half your fingers under it. I killed a brown recluse spider that had killed a cricket, in the bathroom. There was a broken swing lock on that room. The curtain had a thumbtack in it to keep it from moving, cracks and uncovered sockets in the walls. I just wanted to lay down and watch the games on Saturday. The direct tv didn’t work. It would not pick up local channels at all. The young man that came to help with it was helpful and did what he could, nice guy. But overall it was by far the worst ABVI I’ve ever been in.

Cortains did not cover light from outside

I had booked the room for 3 nights, every time I went back to it I had to go to the office to get a new card key. The sunlight was visible around three sides of the door. The room was full of flies. The nonexistence of weather stripping allowed multiple black beetles easy access to come and go whenever. The toilet had to be flushed a minimum of 3 times. The light bulbs must have been 10 watt because it was very difficult to read a book. The door lock worked and so did the ac. The fascia was rotten on the north side of the building. The parking lot was in terrible condition. I have stayed in better places for less money.

The property is nice and having Jaliscos Restaurant is a plus. The only thing I would say is the BEDS omg time for new beds. Very uncomfortable to sleep on. It makes you want to spend that extra money on a more expensive hotel.

Cheap hotel and you get what you pay for. Clean enough but everything in terrible shape. Holes between the A/C unit and outside so any bug could come in, bathroom floor was dirty and we couldn’t figure out how to turn the shower on…turns out you have to pull the whole handle as hard as you can out of the wall and turn at the same time…front desk staff was very rude and seemed annoyed at any simple request. If you need to stay somewhere yourself for the night you’ll get by, wouldn’t recommend for multiple nights.

I didn’t even make it through check in! They person checking me in could not speak English well and what I could make out is they wanted to charge me a deposit on top of the stay . I did not feel comfortable with the look or condition of the lobby to even stay there so I told them cancel my stay I am not staying. I do not know if I will be billed for not staying but looking over the Hotels.com sight it appears I will be billed if I don’t cancel prior to a certain time . If that happens I will never use this service again. There needs to be understanding when you arrive and do not feel comfortable or safe with the property or the way you are treated. I will see what happens with my situation.

My stay was fine. The staff did a great job cleaning the room. It needs updating and some repairs. The desk clerk was great. I called in from the road with a confusion on my reservation and he helped me sort it out. A little more light in the parking lot would make me feel more secure. The hotels.com map and my GPS missed the property and sent me to a dark dead-end road. That was certainly a low spot in the trip. Overall, an acceptable visit.

Terrible employee checking room and asking for a towel!!! Which I didn't have all he wanted to do not give me back my deposit !!! Terrible service would not stay in that place ever!!!

The staff was wonderful- room had coffee pot- stocked well- clean- I enjoyed the old school feel- family run and I support-those values- will stay again- I am a minimum wage - worker- and I appreciate the value

Never recommended. I have stayed in hotels and motels worldwide and never had as bad experience as that. The front office Indian man was so rude, shady and noisy. He should have kept his guests privacy but in facts he added things on the phone that didn’t happen at all. I booked a room to a friend with my account and shortly after I left. Someone called the next day asking if I booked a room there and he said yes and gave a full description of the friend and accused me of spending the night there which was not true. I’m not married anymore and I can go and do anything I want but I hate when people lie like him. I wish he gets fired and if he owns the property I wish him no business. Very ugly experience as ugly as that person in and out……..

I booked room with no refunds apparently and called to let the owner know I was gonna be late check in. Had some things come up and we were 5 1/2 hours away, and the owner said no matter what time I check in, that I would still get my room I already paid for. So I got there and all the sudden my reservation has been canceled and he tells me I don’t have a room and I can’t get any refund at all. So then he tells me that I have to pay for another room when I had to be at the event we drive all the hours for in the first place. At the end of it I lost about 70 dollars and I also had to give him all the money I had on me after I basically begged him to let me stay there for a few hours to get to this event, it was just a bad day gone worse

The night staff is not very helpful! 😞

Although our stay was good, I had requested a late checkout and apparently the guy who checked me in the day before didn't make a note on it. In the morning, the guy who checks the rooms just walked in. If I hadn't had the top latch locked, he would've been standing at the foot of the bed. I brought my concern to the receptionist in the office and he apologized. He said the guy was new, but there was also no note on the late checkout. Communication is important, so please, if you have a late checkout, make sure they write it down so nobody goes in your room without knocking. Other than that, the stay was good.

We just needed for a one night stay along with our fur baby...they are "pet friendly"...that's was the reason we chose them. Plus, they are right off main street coming and leaving Lockhart, Tx.

For the price, this is an excellent value. The room was nice an big, the people were friendly, and the place was quiet. All in all, we really like staying here when we visit Lockhart, TX.

Good location everything is around the hotel area great restaurant next door but the place is in serious need of renovation

Staff is very friendly. Dining is very convenient. I really liked the outside back patio that cones with the room!!!

Stayed here a couple weeks for work. Front office, and maids extremely courteous, but rooms pretty run down for the price. $75 isnt bad, but ive stayed in $50 a night rooms that were in better condition. Built in restaurant is a bonus

This property needs a lot of work. The room we had needed a whole painting. The restroom had mildew on the ceiling. The smoke alarm wires were exposed there wasn't no smoke alarm attached. The tub had rust. My kids couldn't even go swimming due to the pool had algae. As for the breakfast they bag up your breakfast with no gloves on and you had to wait until they give you your breakfast bag. I wouldn't go there again.
