Old historic pub so room was a bit old and bed squeaked when you sat on it or moved, It had a shared bathroom with shower and toilet and was a bit old but functional. The room had a microwave, kettle,a fridge, a sink and some cutlery and plates and dishwashing liquid provided and a couple of teabags and instant coffee sachets. It was in a quiet neighbourhood and close to bus and train.

It was basic but that was all i needed for one night. Staff friendly and helpful. I was upgraded to twin room as manager not happy about coditon of single room. I thought it was fine for price I paid. Upgraded not charged any extra and the bar had German wheat beer on draft fine for me.

Stayed before, it is basic and accordingly cheap, and the pub downstairs is nice enough. Unfortunately on this occasion there were no towels provided in my room, which I didn't realise until I got back from dinner (I went out because the pub kitchen was closed), and the bathroom facilities, which were positively falling apart last time I stayed, hadn't really been maintained at all.

I really enjoyed my stay, it was easy to find and the hosts were lovely. The room was clean and had everything I needed - I loved having a microwave and a fridge! The bed was really comfy and it was peaceful at night. The room was in need of a bit of TLC (some fresh paint on the walls) but it was clean and I was comfortable enough. I had dinner in the pub one night which was really nice. The pub is lovely has a nice wee beer garden. I would recommend this as a place to stay, especially if you want to be close to Canary Wharf but not in it!

Lovely friendly pub/restaurant with great choice of beverage and food. Great location for events in London especially the o2 which is a 15min journey under the Blackwell tunnel. Really nice and helpful staff. Rooms a little dated but good enough for staying over a couple of nights. I was very happy to stay here.

Basic accomodation. But reasonably clean. Very old building was beautiful but in shabby condition. Bed decent. Its not the ritz but very reasonably priced. Kitchen wasnt open. Bar was beautiful. Staff really helpful and friendly. I would stay there again. Good location for DLR.

We had a large room at front of pub with kitchenette microwave fridge wash basin en-suite adequate modern shower and toilet a desk and ideally located and within walking distance of Canary Wharf and 20 minutes to Stratford and the pub does good inexpensive food

Is clean but not modern. The room is a big but could use some remodeling/rework to make it look more appealing. Good for a short stay if places you are going are around this area. Public transportation access is great though so is fairly easy to get around from this hotel.

The hotel was exactly what we needed exactly where we needed it! We were there for Comic-Con and it’s a great location for the Excel Centre (a three minute walk from the station) - it was very clean and had a straightforward check in and check out process. The door to the bathroom was a little stiff and was therefore quite loud but that didn’t bother us! We had a fridge, microwave, kettle and cutlery in our room and there is a Tesco express 2 minutes away, which was really handy!

Great location for an overnight stay after attending an event. Very easy check in and check out process with a very helpful host. Rooms were clean and tidy and the kitchenette was equipped adequately for a short stay. Rooms could do with a bit of a freshen up due to wear and tear but this would not affect us staying here again.

Warm reception from Alex who is an absolutely fantastic host. Very knowledgeable and kind, also eager to please in any way he can. The place is currently going through a renovation so when that is finished then this will be a great property to stay at. TV didn't work and a bit dirty in the hallways but the bed was dead comfy and I had a clean cosy room. All the best to the guys with the renovation works!

Booked for three people, however when arriving we were greeted by a double bed and a floor. Was advised that it was a mistake that it could be booked for three people, but nothing could be done as the owner was currently in the Philippines. The toilet leaked, the shower leaked, and the electric sockets wouldn't turn off

Nice place to stay for a week, though not grand or fancy. Rooms are basic but clean. About a 5 minute walk to the DLR line and 15 mins to Elizabeth. Canary Wharf area is interesting, lots of food options.

The room was clean but it was even more basic than the photo suggested. WiFi was good speed though thankfully. Tea and coffee provisions in the room could do with an update.

Had a really nice welcome when i arrived. Room was of a good standard and reasonably priced for London Marathon compared to some places. Overall a comfortable stay. The only downside was that there was quite a lot of noise and the doors opening and closing were quite loud through the night. But it is London afterall i guess.

Basic and clean in area close to my visit. No black out curtains and close to flight path. Slept okay. No hot water for wash or shower for some reason on my stay.

The staff was very friendly and tended to my needs well, offering exceptional service. The food is also very good. One thing I does bother me a bit is that it would sometimes get kind of noisy outside at night and the window didn't block much of it. But other than that, great service with a dedicated staff.

Fantastic price for the room comfy bed and all clean. Was greeted by a really lovely gentleman at the bar who showed me to the room. Such a good location too! Would recommend and stay again!

Very basic room in a nice pub. Let’s not abailabkenon arrival so waited around 30 mins. Had a beer whilst waiting so no disaster. Single bed fine but room basic and needs updating. Single shared bathroom for 7 rooms exceptionally tired. Fine for a quick, basic overnight stay but not for any longer.

The hotel was exactly what we needed exactly where we needed it! We were there for Comic-Con and it’s a great location for the Excel Centre (a three minute walk from the station) - it was very clean and had a straightforward check in and check out process. The door to the bathroom was a little stiff and was therefore quite loud but that didn’t bother us! We had a fridge, microwave, kettle and cutlery in our room and there is a Tesco express 2 minutes away, which was really handy!

Great location for an overnight stay after attending an event. Very easy check in and check out process with a very helpful host. Rooms were clean and tidy and the kitchenette was equipped adequately for a short stay. Rooms could do with a bit of a freshen up due to wear and tear but this would not affect us staying here again.

Lovely friendly pub/restaurant with great choice of beverage and food. Great location for events in London especially the o2 which is a 15min journey under the Blackwell tunnel. Really nice and helpful staff. Rooms a little dated but good enough for staying over a couple of nights. I was very happy to stay here.

Nice place to stay for a week, though not grand or fancy. Rooms are basic but clean. About a 5 minute walk to the DLR line and 15 mins to Elizabeth. Canary Wharf area is interesting, lots of food options.

Old historic pub so room was a bit old and bed squeaked when you sat on it or moved, It had a shared bathroom with shower and toilet and was a bit old but functional. The room had a microwave, kettle,a fridge, a sink and some cutlery and plates and dishwashing liquid provided and a couple of teabags and instant coffee sachets. It was in a quiet neighbourhood and close to bus and train.

The staff were super lovely and caring! Super quiet area and a nice bed to sleep in especially. Had a rough experience in the area nearby but thankfully where the property is situated it's alot safer! Definitely worth it and multiple supermarkets nearby is always a plus.

We had a large room at front of pub with kitchenette microwave fridge wash basin en-suite adequate modern shower and toilet a desk and ideally located and within walking distance of Canary Wharf and 20 minutes to Stratford and the pub does good inexpensive food

It was basic but that was all i needed for one night. Staff friendly and helpful. I was upgraded to twin room as manager not happy about coditon of single room. I thought it was fine for price I paid. Upgraded not charged any extra and the bar had German wheat beer on draft fine for me.

Stayed before, it is basic and accordingly cheap, and the pub downstairs is nice enough. Unfortunately on this occasion there were no towels provided in my room, which I didn't realise until I got back from dinner (I went out because the pub kitchen was closed), and the bathroom facilities, which were positively falling apart last time I stayed, hadn't really been maintained at all.
Stayed before, it is basic and accordingly cheap, and the pub downstairs is nice enough. £60 in London!. You have to book this with eyes wide open. But it was fine. Good pub with food. Clean room. Comfy bed. Bathroom down the corridor. Absolutely fine.

I really enjoyed my stay, it was easy to find and the hosts were lovely. The room was clean and had everything I needed - I loved having a microwave and a fridge! The bed was really comfy and it was peaceful at night. The room was in need of a bit of TLC (some fresh paint on the walls) but it was clean and I was comfortable enough. I had dinner in the pub one night which was really nice. The pub is lovely has a nice wee beer garden. I would recommend this as a place to stay, especially if you want to be close to Canary Wharf but not in it!

The staff was very friendly and tended to my needs well, offering exceptional service. The food is also very good. One thing I does bother me a bit is that it would sometimes get kind of noisy outside at night and the window didn't block much of it. But other than that, great service with a dedicated staff.

Basic accomodation. But reasonably clean. Very old building was beautiful but in shabby condition. Bed decent. Its not the ritz but very reasonably priced. Kitchen wasnt open. Bar was beautiful. Staff really helpful and friendly. I would stay there again. Good location for DLR.

Gammelt og faldefærdigt. Malingen skaller af væggene der er mere eller mindre misfarvede. Lavt vandtryk så det nærmest er umuligt at gå i bad. Hele molevitten trænger til en seriøs gennemrenovering Personalet er flinke og MEGET snaksaglige :)

An old fashioned pub with a few rooms upstairs. Facilities old but adequate and the only problem was the very hot weather and only a small fan. Friendly staff. Just outside the Canary Wharf area and safe in daylight, probably also OK at night

There was a mess up when I got there as the room I booked was already booked for someone else. Lucky a double was free so Alex let me have that one. The room was ok but there were still people in the bar until 1.30 who were still talking.Also I had to close the window on a warm night because of noise from the houseing block at the back.

A little gem, steeped in history… the staff are amazing , friendly and welcoming … thanks to Alex and Saffy for looking after us… basic room but had what was needed… close to the train station, quick and easy travel into Euston. If you do visit , go and speak to jack who will tell you the history of the area and how’s it’s changed through the years.
