Chalet park Kroondomein Giethoorn

Perhaps I missed it in the listing but this lodging does not provide full serivces meaning we had to go to the store and buy our own toliet paper. Of course you can't buy less than a 4 pack and for a 4 night stay we only needed one extra roll leaving 3 full rolls behind that I am sure the property will use for other guests but make them buy more when they need more than one roll for their stay. To me this is a basic necessity that should be provided.

Lovely area and beautiful setting. Giethoorn gets quite busy in the day, when you see it you will understand why. Its like going back in time, the museum is a must to understand the history, as is the church. We loved our stay, a very helpful chap on the reception. You're quite a way from the car park, so luggage is taken back and forth in a bucket shaped trolley. Sadly the weather wasn't the best so didn't get to enjoy sitting out by the water much which would have been lovely. The only problem we had was with the microwave that doubles as an oven, and didn't work well at all, waiting forever, or burning items !, so gave up. Would much rather have had a separate oven. Kitchen could do with looking at to be fair. Overall we had a lovely time. If you want nightlife this isn't for you, If you want relaxing and peaceful this is it.

Hatten sehr schöne 3 Tage. Wunderbare Lage, eine Tour mit dem Boot lohnt sich. Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber. Hat sich für das nicht so toll gereinigte Haus entschuldigt. Ich möchte hier betonen das der Gastgeber nichts für die Sauberkeit kann, dies lag ausschließlich an der beauftragten Firma. Kommen gerne wieder.

Hotel Kroondomein Giethoorn was incredible! The accommodations were fantastic and the property manager was incredibly helpful. We highly recommend renting a boat.
