Monument by Excel Apartments

Room was clean, I got a little confused by the check in/checkout process, but that was more on me than on them. I've used many apartments in London, this is one I'd definitely return to.

The apartment was perfect to stay at, much better than staying at a hotel - and the location was great. It was also quiet and clean. The main downside was that there was no way to communicate with the host. The system wasn’t showing the early check-in we had ordered, and it was really annoying that we couldn’t check with the host. Fortunately in the end it all worked out.

Far too much up front faff having to register both occupants, upload passport photos & sign up to leave a security deposit - I won’t bother next time & stick with a hotel. The apartment itself was fine, wel located for the city, but the mattress is, by a significant margin, the worst I’ve slept on in my entire adult life. You could feel the metal of every spring and anyone moving in the bed is felt by the other partner. Long story short, it’s a nice apartment. You really need to replace the mattress, and the registration & security deposit process is enough to put me off a short term stay in the future

Good location for a walk along the River Thames.
