Aparthotel Adagio Malta Central

We enjoyed our stay here, it had everything we needed for a self catering holiday. Its a short distance from the airport and easy to find. Well connected for buses which ran regularly. We hired a car, parking all over malta is a nightmare but especially around this hotel, it was near a school and the university so we never attempted parking near the accommodation as there was never a space free. We found space approximately a 10 min walk away which suited us. The hotel was fairly quiet, we were on the 10th floor and our only complaint about our whole time there was being woken up daily by people above in the pool area, presumably workers setting up for the day. They made lots of noise, moving things around on the concrete floor which created sound right through into the bedroom we were in below. It wasn't a pleasant way to be woken up each morning. We used the gym which was clean, well equipped, the rooftop pool was also a nice addition but we never used it. The room was clean when we arrived and there's signs everywhere saying rooms are only cleaned after 8 days which we didn’t mind, they provide clean towels on request. The room was cleaned, and fresh bedding provided on day 8 but we left the next morning. We felt this was a little pointless for the housekeeping team having to do it all over again less than 24 hours later. Overall we would stay here again, preferably on a lower floor but it was centrally located and provided a good base to explore Malta.

Friendly staff, was great being able to use the swimming pool and gym showers and provided with towels on our last day for when we had a late evening. Coffee is well priced on the ground floor. Great air-conditioning and good shower pressure, however room maintenance to be improved as kettle was dirty and black mould in shower grout. We stay at the end of the summer season. Quiet residential area but close to many bus stops. Short bus journey into Valletta.

Great little apartment, rooftop pool/bar area

Sehr gut eingerichtetes Apartment Hotel. Es gibt einen Fitness Raum und einen Pool auf dem Dach. Sehr gut für einen Kurzurlaub. Leider gibt es in der Küche kein Öl und Salz. Und die Couch ist zu zweit auch klein. Aber dennoch eines der besten Hotels die ich besuchen durfte. Ich kann es sehr empfehlen.

Laundry facilities are great. Very clean. Near the university. Great place, especially if you need to go to the university.

Very environmentaly conscious. Clean very friendly hard working staff. The building is very basic. The roof top pool is nice. Small but nice. The area beside the pool is over stocked with tables and chairs, which wasnt an issue during my visit but in high season it would be over crowded.

The welcoming was amazing, staff is really friendly and helpful. The room was clean, although there were a lot of markings from suitcases or other things on the wall. Bathroom was really hot, and there was no way to get it any cooler. The shower was good and nice thought of the power outlet for shavers. The amenities were great, room was supplied with everything necessary in the kitchen and bathroom. We couldn't find instructions on how to use the oven but that wasn't too big of a hassle, just Google the model and make on Internet. The beds were a little too hard for my liking, but that's just personal preference. I woke up with pain in shoulders and hips and nights were a little short. Finally, there were enough power outlets around the apartment. Rooftop pool and bar were really good, with good cocktails which made for a nice siesta. Not too busy at the time we visited. The breakfast was good too, with variety in bread, fruit and drinks. In conclusion, I would recommend the hotel. Will defenitely come back sometime.

Great apartment hotel room in Msida near the university. Plenty of restaurants and food shops within easy walking distance. Several very nice coffee shops nearby. Bistro77 on the ground floor has really good seafood dishes. The laundry facilities were clean and efficient. The staff was helpful and quite friendly. All around great place to stay.

The room we had was great and beautiful except for the fact that there was a lot of dust settled everywhere which was triggering our allergies. Despite that, they were very accomodating of our requests and is situated in a great location! Would highly recommend staying here

We had a very disappointing stay at this aparthotel for a variety of reasons. Firstly the photos on the website are most definitely not a true reflection of the reality. We booked a penthouse apartment which could only be described as basic. It did have a lovely balcony with sun loungers which unfortunately were non adjustable. In addition the ceilings in both the bedroom and sitting area were an eyesore-see pictures. The patio door did not lock. The pool area does not have sun loungers only tables and chairs. My biggest gripe was the lack of cleaning, there wasn’t any at all during our 8 day stay. When I enquired about cleaning I was informed that there is cleaning after 7 days . Unfortunately it didn’t seem to apply to us. Fresh towels were supplied on request but the dirty towels weren’t collected-see pictures. This aparthotel gives the impression of having been built on a shoestring budget. Overall staff were polite, courteous and helpful apart from one member of staff. We had high hopes for our stay but left bitterly disappointed.

I thought this hotel was in Valleta but it was the middle of nowhere with no restaurants or shops near by. but it was close to many stops so it was easy to get around. the staff are very nice but our room was not very clean even after i asked for it to be cleaned again. the sofa bed is most uncomfortable and certainly not worth the 20 euro extra i paid for 8 nights even though i only needed it for 4 nights. i certainly will not be staying here again. i have to say the shower was great even if it was not very clean. i’m

Allt kändes nytt och fint

Les chambre n'étaient pas propre a notre arrivée il y avait des traces de pieds sur les murs du salon et de la chambre a coucher. Il y avait de la moisissure dans la douche et le plancher était sale. Nous avons due acheter un nettoyant pour nettoyer nous même la douche pour enlever la moisissure.

Les murs du salon et de la chambre a coucher étaient sales. Nous avons demandé pour faire nettoyer. Ils sont venu nettoyer. Dans la douche il y a de la moisissures dans les coins qui devrait être nettoyées. Let service est tes bon et l'emplacement est parfait .

Das Zimmer und die Küche waren sauber und einfach ausgestattet. Die Dusche war etwas dreckig. Aktuell ist direkt vor dem Hotel eine große Baustelle, wo wochentags immer ab um 7 Uhr laut gearbeitet wurde. Die Auswahl des Frühstücks war recht klein. Wenn man sehr früh gefrühstückt hat, haben leider manchmal noch Sachen gefehlt. Gegen Ende der Woche mangelte es an Tassen und Tellern.

Room was very spacious and had everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Not sound proofed as stated. You can hear the other rooms around you. Even after being moved because of the noise we were put into room 601. Do not use this room it is next to the electrical room it makes so much noise you can't hear yourself talking. The restaurant is very expensive. If you are looking for a peaceful and quite hotel this is not it. The staff are nice but they are limited on what they can do.

Modernes Haus, Küche minimalst ausgestattet (aber hat uns gereicht) und der Feuermelder war direkt über der Kochplatte. Freundliches Personal aber keine Fensterdämmung und daher sehr laut Nachts und Tags (auch wegen der aktuellen Baustelle gegenüber). Die Straße am Haus ist sehr schmutzig und Müll liegt alle 2 Tage vor den Türen. Mit Koffer und Gepäck von der Buststation zum Hotel ists etwas schwierig. Kleine/Schmale Bürgersteige und keine ebenen Wege. Das Bistro braucht sehr lange um das Essen zuzubereiten - aber es schmeckte prima! Es gab nur wenige Gerichte und beim Check-In erhielten wir unter anderem Gutschein für Pizza. Leider haben wir nie eine Karte für Pizza erhalten, daher mussten wir die Gutscheine teilweise verfallen lassen. Zimmer war sehr sauber und wir fühlten uns wohl.

Unser Zimmer lag Richtung Schacht, daher keine frische Luft oder Tageslicht.

Fantastic stay.Room fabulous with a great little balcony.Made good use of the roof top terrace enjoying the views of the area.Easy walk to bus stop or slightly longer stroll to the ferry for Valletta.Would highly recommend.

Fantastic one bedroom apartment. Comfortable work space and great sleeping space. Freindly and helpful staff.

The Sofa bed was not prepared even though it was requested weeks ago. No towels added. After notifying the reception, we were told that I must take care myself whatever we need. Provided bed materials were not Clean and hairy. The pool area should have been open until 8 pm but it was closed much earlier due to their decision. The bed was quite dirty. Overall it was terrible experience.

I stayed for 4 nights at the hotel and i was very pleased with my room which had a comfortable king sized bed. My room was well maintained and the hotel was also quiet which meant i was able to get a good nights sleep. The hotel receptionists Laura and Ashton were both very helpful and professional with assisting me with travel directions to places of interest and assisting me with booking a Taxi to the Airport.. Your assistance was much appreciated.

This was our third time staying here. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Anita was exceptional and managed all our requests.. The facilities are very good and convenient. We look forward to our next stay!!

The reception staff is very helpful and friendly. We arrived around 11am and our room was available so we were checked in early which was a lovely surprise. The room was nice and clean and had all the amenities we needed for our stay, would recommend!

Top notch staff. Guy at check in was amazingly helpful. Even sold me a plug adaptor at front desk for 5 euro.

We waited at airport for 3 hours - we were asked if we wanted pickup - which we confirmed - but no one waiting! We did complain to reception - she checked my email conversation and said she will revert back - nothing! Also lot of noise from other rooms and neighbouring area

Lack of customer service. Too many different desk attendents. No daily emptying of bin. Lack of proper communication. Humid room that air conditioning can't fix. Very bad local transport.

Staff went above and beyond to help us out. Any query was solved immediately without hesitation. They opened the restaurant early for us so that we could catch our flight - the chef and bartender were amazing -incredible food and exceptional customer service. All receptionist were extremely helpful and made arrangements for us, helped with luggage, lets us use the facilities after checkout and made our entire stay enjoyable and stress free. Fantastic customer service all round!

Clean, easy check-in/ out, good location, easy to get around by bus

This is my second visit to Aparthotel and third to Malta, so I knew what to expect. The property remains in excellent condition and the hotel contributes to the environment with their recycling facilities, which I commend them for. I requested the same accessible apartment that I had in February ie a walk- in shower. It was misinterpreted as a request for a disabled apartment, which to the hotel's credit, they did supply. Upon arrival I realised the misunderstanding, and as this was off- peak season, staff was able to arrange a transfer. The front desk staff, bar staff and breakfast staff were all very courteous and accommodating, as was the general manager. I thank Monica for providing alternative breakfast items which did not contain pork and to Arif for his cheerful disposition. I hope future consideration can be given to other non- pork eaters during off- peak seasons. The surrounding area, is mostly on an incline, some streets are quite steep and the pavements are very uneven. This will be particularly challenging for anyone with mobility issues. On a positive note public transport to the capital Valetta is fairly close, the harbour is within walking distance and there are plenty of places to eat and drink.

Wir waren total beigeistert von der Unterkunft. Die Ansgestellten waren immer verfügbar und super lieb, haben uns sogar bei Fragen nach Busverbindungen alles genau erklärt und aufgeschrieben. Das Apartment für 2 Personen war wirklich groß, modern und sauber. Betten nicvt durchgelegen. Pool am Dach klasse. ☀️ Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig, die Bushaltestelle nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß vom Hotel entfernet. Auch in Valletta ist man sehr schnell. Wir sind von Sliema dorthin mit der Fähre für 1,50 gefahren. Malta ist definitiv eine Reise wert. Wir kommen gerne wieder 😊

Enjoyed our stay for 5 nights, apartment was just right and hotel was convenient for bus stops to reach many destinations. In a quiet residential area, away from main road and we also had a great view of the marina

Lovely property down residential road. Clean, modern and comfortable. Staff are helpful and friendly. Location is ideal for transport links and within walking distance of Sliema. Excellent gastro pub opposite.

The Adagio was exactly what I needed. A comfortable bed, a clean and nicely proportioned room, and all the facilities I needed to be comfortable for my ten day stay. Yes, you’re a 45 minute walk from Valletta, but the buses are quick, and the walk is lovely. There are some great cafes nearby (I recommend Coffee Circus and Cafe Brillace in particular), and the restaurant downstairs is great too. I cooked most nights (there’s a decent SPAR not far away), and that worked well, though I would have loved it if the hotel supplied olive oil (I do appreciate there are some hygiene issues… but it felt a shame to have to buy a whole bottle and leave most of it unused). All in all: a great stay. I moved to a ‘fancy’ hotel closer to Valletta for the final few days of my stay in Malta… and I really miss the comfortable, quiet apartment I had at Adagio.

Spacious rooms, very clean, only negative part is that it was on the outskirts of town.

Roof top pool, clean rooms, easy walking distance to Gzira or Sliema, full size fridge with freezer compartment and cooking facilities. We had amazing food at Bistro 77 (Thanks Hassan). The rest of the staff are amazing too, in particular Ana, Stefan, Faye, Anita, Bobby and Ashton. The staff gave us tips on where to go for days out and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be going back again.

Great hotel and facilities. Only downside was breakfast was pretty thin on the morning i took it. On the final morning no-one was around and there were no bowls to eat from. I left after 5 minutes and gave up. Incredibly helpful staff, including Anita.

This is a nice hotel in an easily accessible location. All the staff but especially reception were welcoming, very helpful and professional. The apartment was a good size, clean and in good condition. Higher floors have a view to the harbour which I later realised was just 15 minutes walk away. 30 minutes to the terminal. Although near the university, it was fairly quiet. The only disappointment was breakfast. The selection wasn’t really to my taste.

One bedroom apartment with balcony overlooking Sliema bay. Apartment had everything we required for a short break. Great rainforest shower. Don't have hotel breakfast. Terrible. Can recommend the little pub across the street for happy hour & good food. Bolt (app) taxi's are fantastic. Don't use the hotel shuttle. Twice as expensive.

Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Schönes Hotel leider gibt es in der nähe nicht viel zu sehen. Der Pool auf dem Dach ist empfehlenswert. Die Auswahl vom Frühstück ist gering und eher Schlecht. Sollte man nicht dazu buchen. Lieber außerhalb essen gehen. Die Zimmer werden nur alle 7 Tagen gereinigt und den Müll muss man selber im Keller entsorgen. Frische Hand-Badetücher gibt es nur im bestimmten Zyklus und auf Anfrage. Wenn man an den Strand will muss man einige Fahrminuten einplanen. An sich ein Schönes Hotel bis auf die paar Sachen die uns persönlich nicht gefallen hat.
