Sea Shell Inn on the Beach

Just dirty , hair in the bathroom,dirty floors,dirty windows.

Wow, what a gross motel. Before stepping into my room, i had to walk up a wooden staircase with over a dozen rusty nails sticking out of the steps, then had to step over a pool of neon green bacteria algae water that was leaking from the air conditioner. Walk into my room, and notice that there are no blankets. Just a sheet and a silk sheet. Upon further review, one bed had BLOOD STAINS in it! Disgusting. The other bed had hair all over the sheets, and zero pillow covers on any of the 4 pillows. The wall under the sink had some stain all over it, and there was no toilet paper. I didn’t know until it was too late. Furthermore, I found a half full baby bottle rotting on the floor under the bed , and I opened up the microwave to find baby food and carrots that had been rotting inside, probably for a while. I almost threw up all over this room. Went downstairs to let them know my room had not been cleaned AT ALL and had no toilet paper, and the guy just hands me 1 roll and doesn’t say a word. So I’m just starring at him with this blank look on his face and told Him I expect someone to come clean this room immediately. And they did. Changed the sheets, cleaned the microwave, but left the rotting milk baby bottle on the floor. If I could for this place a negative score, I would. The view is fantastic though !

Beds were comfortable. Staff was nice. Property was falling apart. There was mold in the room. The room had no maintenance at all.

The view and access to the beach were great. Room was dirty, sheets and pillow cases were dirty and stained, no soap in the room, no WiFi access, smoke detector was missing.

I was honestly a little hesitant to book after reading some of the negative reviews, but I’m so glad I didn’t let them change my mind. Our vacation was absolutely perfect from start to finish! Johnny and the owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. Anytime we had a question or needed anything, they responded quickly and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. The hospitality we received made all the difference, and it’s clear they work hard to ensure their guests enjoy their stay. We had a wonderful time, made great memories, and would definitely stay here again. Don’t let a few bad reviews keep you from giving this place a chance—we’re so happy we did!
