The front desk staff was very helpful and nice. She had directed us to a enjoyable local food place. She was also very helpful with a booking issue. Unfortunately there was no ice machine on-site that was functional. A little disappointing was the coffee…poor quality or non available. Bed was comfortable and shower was nice. Some deep cleaning in the bathroom is need to remove calcium build up on sink and remove toilet paper from ceiling that appears to be a spit ball of sorts. There is an excellent Asian food restaurant next door.

Your website did not include that there was no elevator, and this 83 year old man had to hand carry our luggage up to the second floor. Outrageous! No elevator in most states is illegal. Not including this on your website is inexcusable. For the continental breakfast, which ended at 9:00 am, we got there at 8:55 and the attendant said it was closed. She grudgingly let us in to collect some food which we took to our room. She stood there while we did this with folded arms, much annoyed. My Yelp review will reflect my stay. Am I an experienced traveler? Yes, having visited 55 countries, plus I write travel stories for a media chain.

The room was ok. The sink was dirty but everything else seemed to be clean and the beds were cozy. We stayed just for 1 night driving through. We hoped for breakfast in the morning and the only thing there was, was bagels and coffee. There was a bucket catching drips from the ceiling(we thought) in the breakfast area that had very gross water or whatever it was in it. All the trashes outside were very full.

Cleanliness was not great. I went around the room with antibacterial wipes, Every surface had dried rings from cups, the lamp next to the bed had layers of dust, the 2 padded chairs had stains all over the fabric. The room was way overpriced.

The room wasn't dusty but it wasn't clean either. The wall had some dried juice dripping down, and the shower didn't drain at all - within 30 seconds I had water pooling around my feet. The staff was prompt and friendly though, and the beds were clean.

It seemed like the place was short-staffed. There was one person taking care of the check-in, she was also taking care of the laundry and cleaning the lobby. For being only one person, she was doing a good job. Cleanliness was poor. We had another couple staying in a separate room, they sent a picture of what looked like black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The sink in our room had a lot of soap scum all around the drain. Their Wifi never worked. The breakfast was from 6 a.m. - 8 a.m., way too early, and pretty limited regarding choices. The beds were comfortable. The whole hotel on the inside looked dated. Just an average hotel, and it worked for what we needed.

It’s an old building, but clean. The only complaint is the pillows suck. But I don’t know any hotels that have good pillows. Best advice is to bring your own. Bed is really comfortable..

The staff members we met were very nice. However I would never stay here again as the walls seem paper thin. The person next door coughed all night long and we could hear everything in the next room. There are not many options in this area of Colorado, but I would select to drive further than to stay in FairPlay.

Got in late at night and keys were sitting on the counter with my name on them. Anyone could have swiped them and gotten into the room. Construction crew shift change happened around 4:30am, super loud could hear every footstep, door open/close, showers running everywhere. Got no sleep.

Staff was friendly and answered all questions promptly. Room was clean and had Dish TV and wifi. That's all we needed for our short stay. It is absolutely not the hotel's fault but there is construction happening so getting in and out is a little annoying but will hopefully be great once it's done...lots of dirt and dust!

For the price, we were pleased with the comforts of our beds and room (the pillows were awesome). It was delightful to view the mountains from our room, though a busy road also lies outside the window. Breakfast was actually offered—continental.

For the price, we were pleased with the comforts of our beds and room (the pillows were awesome). It was delightful to view the mountains from our room, though a busy road also lies outside the window. Breakfast was actually offered—continental.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They had hot water and a nice tea selection in the lobby. The only negative was the breakfast. For the price of the room, there should have been more. There was only a cellophane wrapped bagel and some oatmeal packets. No fruit or yogurt or anything else. Very skimpy.

We were on a ski trip and it was a great spot to stay. We wish the breakfast would’ve had more. Only had coffee, oatmeal packets, and some muffins. Other than that good to go.

Lobby and rooms could do with a refresh especially carpeted area . Staff were very helpful and friendly Breakfast very limited , juice too dilute ,only one choice of bread . Raisins in raisin bran were like stones ! Appreciated access to guest laundry

It was available. I booked a room with a king bed and was given two double beds. TV remote didn’t work correctly. The shower curtain has a strong mildew scent. Limited options for breakfast. Microwaveable oatmeal or cold cereal.

The bed was comfy, the room was clean, the service was friendly. Sadly the breakfast was disappointing, just yoghurt, oranges, oatmeal some bars, juice coffee and tea. The liquid creamer was bad and made one in our party sick.

Breakfast was all packaged foods- donuts, bagels and muffins- nothing healthy:-( They did let us check in early which was nice! Outside area was under construction so messy and not easy to maneuver from the main road - expensive for what was offered.

The hotel is at approximately 10k feet above sea level and only about 30 minutes from several major trailheads, making it a convenient base for hiking and acclimatizing to the altitude. There’s an Asian fusion restaurant right next door, with several other dining options within a 7-minute walk. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only drawback is that there is no elevator, so you’ll need to carry your luggage up to the second floor.

Location was great for our hiking trip. Didn’t spend much time at the hotel other than to sleep. They had breakfast available but I didn’t know about it until we were checking out. Rooms were clean, front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
