Gorgeous period B&B, and Caryn, the owner, takes the "bed" and "breakfast" of a stay seriously, with a Quality mattress/bedding and breakfast from scratch recipes with homemade bread. Walked right across street for good food, and several others a short walk or drive away...local businesses who care about your service ( not chain restaurants). Would stay here again whenever in area! Thank you, Caryn♡

Our stay was just okay. The bathroom wall in our had a big crack in it and the bathroom door didnt close which was very uncomfortable when using the bathroom. The breakfast was fair. We wont be back.

This is a very cool Victorian home! Caryn is a very nice host. She bakes delicious shortbread cookies AND the most divine blueberry muffins. We left early in the morning and she left the muffins out for us to grab with coffee since we opted out of Breakfast. The bed was super comfy and it was a quiet night's sleep. I would recommend staying at the Maplecroft.

This is a very cool Victorian home! Caryn is a very nice host. She bakes delicious shortbread cookies AND the most divine blueberry muffins. Victorian House B&B. Many steps to climb to get to room. Bed was very soft for mu liking. Air conditioning and ceiling fan did keep bedroom cool. Okay for a one a one night stay but would not recommend if climbing many stairs would be a physical.problem.

Was hoping and expecting more. Stayed in Tower room. Bathroom is across the hall. Breakfast was disappointing after reading the reviews. AC is a dinky window unit that was a couple feet from the corner of the bed. WIFI was very weak. Room is short on electrical outlets. I could list more shortcomings, but that'll do for now.

Breakfast was great. Bed quite comfortable and we were made quite welcome through our stay. Wonderful location to explore an interesting town. There were a couple of misrepresentations. Advertised Air conditioning in Bedroom. There was none. Advertised a large king bed and large twin bed. There was no twin bed. Instead a fold out sofa. Roku did not interact with server, so no TV as advertised. We were quite comfortable, just a bit putt off by the stated disconnects

Interesting experience to say the least. The owner was abrasive and expected us to know everything about the home. For example, the Keurig can not be heating at the same time the coffee pot is. Silly us for being 1 night guests and not knowing all the details and what irks the owner. Plus, it was great starting to the morning with the owner lecturing me for having a stomach ache and not wanting to eat breakfast. I understand food waste is annoying.. but I have a very sensitive stomach. Force feeding myself to appease the business and making me feel bad for it is just crazy. Next time, practice some restraint and remember this is not charity. We are paying customers. I left that property never wanting to stay at a B and B again.

It’s a beautiful historical house turned b&b at the perfect location for Vermont lovers. The breakfast was our highlight of stay! The homemade muffins and a good conversation along with a strong cup of coffee makes you want to come back for more.

Property was clean enough. Owner provided some suggestions for eating and activities. Lots of rules and wasn’t super friendly. The first breakfast we had wasn’t fresh.

This beautiful quaint old-world Inn is a true gem. Our host was wonderful, warm, helpful and, best of all, a fantastic cook; best breakfast I have had in years. The property was clean, charming and the perfect spot to truly relax and go back to a friendlier and kinder time. Do yourself a favor and skip the big hotels and stay here, you won't be disappointed!

If you like historic homes with all the charm, this is for you. Clawfoot bath, quilt on bed. Antiques throughout. Quiet sweet cat. Delicious locally sourced breakfast with fresh herbs. A gem in our far too uniform cookie cutter world. Great host. Nice town. Friendly people. We dined at the former fire hall. Great restaurant. Generous portions. The iceberg wedge salad was to die for.

Thd breakfast was delicious. The rooms clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay would recommend to family and friends.

Would have given an excellent rating overall but unfortunately during our stay there was too much street noise. And, some things could have used some maintenance: specifically windows need a good sanding and repainting, one window would only stay open propped up with a piece of wood, and there was a small area of paint peeling on the ceiling in the sitting room/bathroom. Understand older buildings are hard to maintain, especially when trying to retain the original fixtures, but the items needing maintenance were not recent. Breakfast was outstanding, especially the homemade bread and muffins, and the downstairs rooms are not to be missed.

What a beautiful historic house! Caryn has made it into a lovely home, and was a wonderful hostess. The room was comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious - thick fluffy pancakes with fruit and maple syrup. Would totally recommend.
