Endroit très tranquille et belle chambre propre, installation sanitaire suffisante et beau petit déjeuner. Salon confortable avec accès internet. J'ai bien aimé et se j'ai à retourner dans le coin, j'y séjournerai sans problème. Excellent prix.

This was different for me. Eight small rooms along a hallway above a bar. Room had a sink, but toilet and shower were shared. But it had a fair degree of charm, perhaps because of its unusual elements.

Quiet out of the way area. The rooms are small and the showers are common to the 8 rooms as is a table, refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle, etc.

The only thing that I would caution potential clients about is room access. The rooms are located on the second floor and are accessed by climbing a steep metal staircase. I'm in my mid sixties and I am still fairly agile, but I still found the stairs somewhat intimidating. So, older adults and people with mobility issues could have issues with this situation. I only say this so people are properly informed.

Good place to stay for a budget strapped traveller. The room was clean and the food in the tavern below was good. The service was great. Now it has a shared washroom and public living space. It was a quiet nights sleep and an incredibly good price. A family group could easily crash here for a night or two. Altogether a pleasant stay.

Great place if you want a quiet time. The staff is friendly and there is a bar adjoined to the rooms that is convenient for a snack, dinner or simply to have a good time.

I booked this place not knowing it was at least an hour and a half away from Montreal. I was not happy i did that. The best part was the fun we had at the bar downstairs. If you want a hunting lodge, this fits. Bath and shower are down the hall.

Environnement bruyant, bar avec musique jusqu'à tard dans la nuit. Pas d'insonorisation vs les autres chambres et espaces communs. Panne de courant au 2e jour, aucun service à partir de là, pas d'eau. On était laissé à nous-même. Je sais que cette panne était assez exceptionnelle, mais un peu plus de support aurait été apprécié (comme vous pouvez avoir de l'eau ici, de la nourriture là, de l'essence là).

Tiny room. Place feels like you grandma's home, or what I imagine a hostel is like. Quaint, but hiusekeeping is sub-standard. Bathrooms are shared. Has a coffe maker in the shared kitchen but no stir sticks. No dishes no sink in sharef kitchen. Broken mirror in one of the shared bathrooms. People can see you while on the toilet due to insufficient blinds. Not renovated substancially in forever. Rooms / walls are not sound proof. No one on site for much of evening, night and morning if you need something. No place to put clothes. Towels put on chair in corner of room behind door. Stairs not shoveled after snowfall. Room over bar so music is noisy from early until late. Had some messy and loud guests stay at the same time as me so it makes for an altogether unpleasant stay. Far from civilization (ev chargers), if that is what you are looking for. Seems like a cheap place to stay overnight while on a snowmobile /quad / hunting trip, but nothing more.

Calling this a hotel was deceiving. Hôtel du Chasseur is set up like a hostle and not a hotel. The rooms are tiny with shared bathrooms. The furniture is old and cheap. The bathrooms should have places to put your clothing while you shower. I would have been happier if they called themselves a hostle or inn.

Room over bar so music is noisy from early until late. Had some messy and loud guests stay at the same time as me so it makes for an altogether unpleasant stay. Far from civilization (ev chargers), if that is what you are looking for. Seems like a cheap place to stay overnight while on a snowmobile /quad / hunting trip, but nothing more.

Environnement bruyant, bar avec musique jusqu'à tard dans la nuit. Pas d'insonorisation vs les autres chambres et espaces communs. Panne de courant au 2e jour, aucun service à partir de là, pas d'eau. On était laissé à nous-même. Je sais que cette panne était assez exceptionnelle, mais un peu plus de support aurait été apprécié (comme vous pouvez avoir de l'eau ici, de la nourriture là, de l'essence là).

the place was okay, but i think the staff should be a little more organized when accommodating rooms to people, considering we had 2 people walk in on us sleeping at 2am, and then a staff member bang on the door and told us we weren’t supposed to be there. i get accidents happen. but the gentleman could’ve been nicer about the situation.

This was different for me. Eight small rooms along a hallway above a bar. Room had a sink, but toilet and shower were shared. But it had a fair degree of charm, perhaps because of its unusual elements.

It’s good for the price. Communal bathroom. Didn’t realize it at the time of booking. So I didn’t stay but it is attached to a restaurant that seems to serve good food. So it is convenient is you need to be in the area.

Good place to stay for a budget strapped traveller. The room was clean and the food in the tavern below was good. The service was great. Now it has a shared washroom and public living space. It was a quiet nights sleep and an incredibly good price. A family group could easily crash here for a night or two. Altogether a pleasant stay.

I booked this place not knowing it was at least an hour and a half away from Montreal. I was not happy i did that. The best part was the fun we had at the bar downstairs. If you want a hunting lodge, this fits. Bath and shower are down the hall.

Tiny room. Place feels like you grandma's home, or what I imagine a hostel is like. Quaint, but hiusekeeping is sub-standard. Bathrooms are shared. Has a coffe maker in the shared kitchen but no stir sticks. No dishes no sink in sharef kitchen. Broken mirror in one of the shared bathrooms. People can see you while on the toilet due to insufficient blinds. Not renovated substancially in forever. Rooms / walls are not sound proof. Endroit très tranquille et belle chambre propre, installation sanitaire suffisante et beau petit déjeuner. Salon confortable avec accès internet. J'ai bien aimé et se j'ai à retourner dans le coin, j'y séjournerai sans problème. Excellent prix.

This place is up for sale. The open grated metal staircase was scary to climb to our room. You can see them from the front of the house. Also there was no mention that there was no washroom in your room. You had to used a public bathroom and shower. You had only a sink in the room. The restaurant was not open for breakfast and the bar was closed when we arrived at 8:30pm on July 6th. Over all the bed was comfortable and the Air Conditioner kept us cool through the hot humid night.

La plus grande déception vient du fait que la musique du bar était incroyablement forte et n'a cesser qu'à 3ham. Donc impossible de trouver le sommeil. Et ensuite c'est suivi une chicane de couple assurément en boisson, toujours au bar en bas, qui résonnait très fort et qui a pris une tournure sans sens entre 6ham et 7ham. Crié. Sacré. Pas joli à entendre. Nous ignorions où était la direction et pourquoi des actions n'ont pas été prise pour demander à ces gens de quitter le bar lors de la fermeture pour le respect des chambreurs. Le silence est revenu à 7h30am quand nous avons quitté, plus fatigué que la veille à notre arrivée.
