Only a few minutes walk away from Trent Bridge and The City Ground and opposite a McDonalds, what more do you need? The ground floor flat I had was great, it had a large living area with a well stocked kitchen, sofa, TV and dining table and a seperate bedroom with an en-suite. Theres a thousand and one restaurants and takeaways down the road and a COOP only a ten minutes walk away and it’s a five minute walk to the river. It’s safe and secure and is very well maintained, I will definitely be back.

The facility is great with a nice large community kitchen. We cleaned up after ourselves, but not all residents did. Other than the shower being a tad claustrophobic, this was an awesome stay.

Great location near Trent Bridge Cricket ground, clean rooms and access to shared kitchen. However, there was not enough parking, I counted 12 parking spaces and yet there are 18 rooms. Some of the parking is on muddy puddles.

It is in a very convenient location with plenty of different places to eat nearby and was not expensive but glad to only stay one night even so. The stairs to the upper floors were very narrow and steep and there should be a warning about this before you can book. Also the shower room/toilet & floor could have been cleaned better.

River Rooms is the ideal location to explore Nottingham, our room was lovely spacious with ensuite, we enjoyed the use of the well equipped kitchen and washing machine / dryer. Can definitely recommend to fellow travellers thank you Gary & team you run a fab place.

Stay was fine, linen fresh and clean. Was some dust in one corner which could only be seen when the sun hit the area. Boiler did make a noise all night but have advised the owner probably a bit of air in the pipes. Apart from that everything just fine. Hot drinks facilities plentiful in the room. Well stocked kitchen for everyone's use excellent

A good room for the price and its location. Clean and looked after. The property has a dorm room feel to it. Only issue was the parking, all allocated spots were taken up and its not clear if you're able to use neighbouring areas. Would have liked extra pillows as there was only one each. The hosts request photo ID via an email not thru Hotels.com contrary to Hotels.com saying every communication goes thru them. Please check with Hotels.com beforehand.

Perfect location for our needs, easy to find and parking was easy. All instructions of how to access property were emailed prior to arrival and communication was easy throughout booking to our stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable and even had a fan as the weather was surprisingly hot.

No window coverings for the velux windows. Horrible greasey smell in the room. Thought at first someone had a chip pan going in communal kitchen. But think actually the beams had been recently painted, and it was a horrid paint smell. Paint spashes on cups. A lot of noise from other guests using communal kitchen at 5am. Full on conversation could be heard, clear as. Steps are lethal!

Great location for sporting events & access to West Bridge. There was plenty of parking & the room was immaculately clean- a little warm, so very grateful for the room fan. Only downside for me is the inevitable traffic noise, which is audible with the windows shut but is not loud enough to disturb sleep.

This property is ok for an overnight stay. It gives the impression through photographs and description of being an apartment, but it’s a small room with very thin walls and a shared kitchen ( which is not as clean as the rooms) . Property is on a very noisy main road and rooms are not air conditioned. Staff are very good on communication.

Arrived to the un-manned accommodation to find the room I had been allocated had not been cleaned since the last guest. Tried calling the phone number given to me but got no answer. Emailed the address given to me and no reply. Tried calling again and received a text message saying they were full and to go find some where else. Apparently this person couldn\'t call as they were in a team meeting. And that was it. No other contact from the accommodation. This property wins "hands down" for the very worst experience, communication and customer service I think I have experienced when staying away. Congratulations!

The location was reasonable for City Access - a 30 minute walk. Our 2 bedroom with en-suite room was functional, although 1 chair for 3 guests was not good. The big negative was the Bed which was very uncomfortable.

The property itself is ok, but it’s in a very busy and noisy location opposite a 24/7 McDonalds. Note the kitchen facilities are communal, I had thought there was a kitchenette facility in the suite I had booked. It’s ok, but we payed a very high price for two nights which wasn’t great value as our expectation was for more of a self catering suite being in Nottingham for a competitive sporting event.

If you get assigned room 1, run. Heard every single person entering the building, every footstep going past & people talking really loudly. Even at 3am. Comfy beds and great location though.

Room is fine - has hostel vibes and basic but clean and comfortable enough. Had issues checking in. Hadn’t received codes at 1300 on the day after sending ID 24 hours before. Replied to the text message from the day before, messaged in the hotels.com app, no reply. Tried calling hotel at 1700 when I was outside, no answer but had another random text to say they were in a meeting and how could they help. Took a further 25 mins to resolve and receive check in codes.

Very comfy bed and nice clean room and hotel in a great area with lots of amenities convenient for various sport Venus and the arena. The room was nice with lovely bathroom but our room was on second floor in the attic with low sloping roof on 3 sides around the bed with thick wooden beam running half along the slope causing a few head knocks. 2 skylight windows were screwed shut and couldn't open for fresh air. Would definitely stay again if in Nottingham but would specify my visual impairment and avoid the attic rooms.

The day before our arrival, I was required to send my ID as confirmation. I believed that they would have sent all of the access codes for our entry in to the building at that time. We were travelling for the next 24 hours to get to Nottingham from Canada. When I checked my emails, I hadn't received the check-in information. We arrived at the Nottingham Train station and I wasn't getting any response to my messages for nearly a half an hour. We were tired from travelling. When somebody finally did respond, they said that they were having a team meeting; that was the reason for the delayed response; despite they knew they had guests that were arriving that day and I was messaging shortly after 3 pm, which is check-in time for the guests. Our rooms were changed, but the rooms we were given were not suitable for our family of mother, son and 2 daughters all over the age of 50 travelling together

We arrived at the Nottingham Train station and I wasn't getting any response to my messages for nearly a half an hour. We were tired from travelling. When somebody finally did respond, they said that they were having a team meeting; that was the reason for the delayed response; despite they knew they had guests that were arriving that day and I was messaging shortly after 3 pm, which is check-in time for the guests. Our rooms were changed, but the rooms we were given were not suitable for our family of mother, son and 2 daughters all over the age of 50 travelling together

I did not manage to check in, as the code was not sent to me (even though I had paid the deposit prior to the day of arrival, a deposit that was initially falsely stated as double the amount of the night booked), and could not reach the manager by any means for a while. It was freezing cold and rained.

Room is fine - has hostel vibes and basic but clean and comfortable enough. Had issues checking in. Hadn’t received codes at 1300 on the day after sending ID 24 hours before. Replied to the text message from the day before, messaged in the hotels.com app, no reply. Tried calling hotel at 1700 when I was outside, no answer but had another random text to say they were in a meeting and how could they help. Took a further 25 mins to resolve and receive check in codes.

Arrived to the un-manned accommodation to find the room I had been allocated had not been cleaned since the last guest. Tried calling the phone number given to me but got no answer. Emailed the address given to me and no reply. Tried calling again and received a text message saying they were full and to go find some where else. Apparently this person couldn\'t call as they were in a team meeting. And that was it. No other contact from the accommodation. This property wins "hands down" for the very worst experience, communication and customer service I think I have experienced when staying away. Congratulations!

A good room for the price and its location. Clean and looked after. The property has a dorm room feel to it. Only issue was the parking, all allocated spots were taken up and its not clear if you're able to use neighbouring areas. Would have liked extra pillows as there was only one each. The hosts request photo ID via an email not thru Hotels.com contrary to Hotels.com saying every communication goes thru them. Please check with Hotels.com beforehand.

Stayed with my son for football match at Nottingham Forest stadium. Excellent location for this and lots of amenities within walking distance too. River Rooms does exactly what it says on the tin. Good communication from owners aswell.

Great location for sporting events & access to West Bridge. There was plenty of parking & the room was immaculately clean- a little warm, so very grateful for the room fan. Only downside for me is the inevitable traffic noise, which is audible with the windows shut but is not loud enough to disturb sleep.

The property itself is ok, but it’s in a very busy and noisy location opposite a 24/7 McDonalds. Note the kitchen facilities are communal, I had thought there was a kitchenette facility in the suite I had booked. It’s ok, but we payed a very high price for two nights which wasn’t great value as our expectation was for more of a self catering suite being in Nottingham for a competitive sporting event.

Only a few minutes walk away from Trent Bridge and The City Ground and opposite a McDonalds, what more do you need? The ground floor flat I had was great, it had a large living area with a well stocked kitchen, sofa, TV and dining table and a seperate bedroom with an en-suite. Theres a thousand and one restaurants and takeaways down the road and a COOP only a ten minutes walk away and it’s a five minute walk to the river. It’s safe and secure and is very well maintained, I will definitely be back.

Convenient location, room was clean and spotless. Good night's sleep and close to local shops. My son was very happy as there is a McDonald's close by. No problems with the host and will definitely use again.

We've used River Rooms a number of times and have several more visits booked over the next few months. It's a fantastic location for the cricket at Trent Bridge - literally a couple of minutes walk and with parking at the rear of the property it is absolutely ideal for our needs. The rooms have always been clean and tidy with tea/coffee facilities, comfortable beds and ensuite bathroom facilities. There is a communal kitchen although we've not needed to use it. Rooms are spread out over a number of floors from the basement upwards. It's a self-check in property and details for access are emailed through usually on the morning on your stay. I've always found the management company extremely helpful and they've resolved any questions or queries I've had in a polite and timely manner. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance from a McDonalds almost opposite to several nice pubs and restaurants situated along the river.

Booked this for one night to attend an event in the city centre. It was ideal for the three of us, with adjoining rooms for a very reasonable price. Basic but clean and comfortable. Perfect for the football and cricket grounds and about a mile from the city. Shops, pubs and restaurants nearby

Rooms were clean and tidy. Room 12 has a macerator toilet which did smell throughout the two night stay. Good location. Parking is more limited than the description suggests and is very tight. The property is akin to a large HMO. Unlike the main photograph the property is a large detached house and does not have a bar/restaurant as it appears on the photographs. All in all it was fine but I would not say value for money for a property mainly used by contractors.

Stayed at River Rooms Nottingham for a night. Good value for the price, no frills but everything you need. The room was clean and comfortable enough, though finding it was a bit of a maze. Corridors winding off in odd directions, a few too many fire doors. Felt like I'd earned a drink by the time I'd located the right door. Parking is tight. Not impossible, but you'll want to arrive knowing you might need a few minutes of patience. Once you're sorted though, the location works well. Nice walks along the river right on the doorstep, and it's an easy stroll into town. Handy for the football and cricket grounds too, which explains the clientele. It's not a destination hotel, but it doesn't pretend to be. Practical, affordable, and well placed. I'd use it again for a match day.
