Interesting to have a kitchen room accessed by room 'key'. There were microwaves, cooktops, large fridge/freezer and ironing equipment. Renovated in a retro beach style. Bed comfy but a little soft for us. Traffic noise a little intrusive.

Amazing motel. A great find. Super clean, 24hr kitchen, little reception area where you can buy beer/mixers and snacks. Coffee cart outside in the morning. Nice little pool too. Would definitely return.

This place was so lovely we stayed an extra night as we were not ready to leave. Love that it’s dog friendly ($50 extra and so worth it) Kids loved the pool. Beds were comfy. Beautiful beach steps away and a little further up is the off leash dog friendly beach. The free bikes they have to use were awesome to head into the main restaurant area for margaritas or a beer by the beach. Nice size in room fridge and plenty of cutlery and dishes for at home eating as well as a 24/7 shared kitchen to cook or wash up. We loved it and can’t wait to come back.

I booked a last minute stay at the property and it was great. Being a ground floor room which I was able to park near made it a lot easier travelling solo with kids. Having the coffee van on site was really convenient too. It’s pretty far from the main Kingscliff shops and cafes but it’s still a very nice area close to the beach and very walkable. The communal kitchen was very handy. I would definitely stay here again and it’s great knowing that pooches are welcome too!

Be nice if there was a microwave in the room but had a fridge, kettle, toaster and some cutlery. A larger kitchen was available in the complex. No laundry in site. Pleasant surprise in that a small caravan on site opens in morning to sell coffee and pastries. Easy parking. Will stay there again.

Our room was spotlessly clean and the beds were super- comfortable. The room had been renovated to a very high standard with a good layout and everything well-thought out. The bathroom was immaculate with a great shower and designer fittings. Parking and check-in was very easy. In a quiet location just a few minutes' walk to the beach, we were very pleased we chose Blue Water Motel for our short stay.

Room was very clean and modern. Had to turn the tv off at the power point to kill the screen saver. Couldn’t use the bathroom after a shower- the floor was wet all over. No tissues, not well set up to sit and eat a meal. Nowhere to sit other than the bed other than a hard steel chair but the room was too small for a lounge. A good place if you just wanted somewhere to crash but, at that price, not enough going for it if you want to chill with someone else

If I could give 10 stars I would. The room was absolutely stunning! It was clean, beautifully furnished and just the style I love! Check in was easy using the door code. It was quiet and close to shops, restaurants and the beach. We'll be back for sure.

We stayed at Blue Water Motel and, given the high rates, expected a decent motel experience rather than 5-star luxury. The price seemed to reflect demand rather than quality, possibly due to nearby Mantra or Peppers on Salt Beach being booked out. The motel has a charming theme, with friendly staff and an easy check-in, even after hours. We liked the thoughtful decor touches and the big, fully opening window that created a nice bar-like vibe. The campervan serving breakfast was also a nice addition. However, our stay was marred by several issues. The mattresses were old and saggy, making for an uncomfortable night's sleep. The air conditioning, placed directly above the bed, meant we either had to endure stale air or have cold air blowing on us. The worst issue was the lack of soundproofing; we could hear everything from our neighbors, from late-night TV and partying to morning chats, which meant no sleep for us. Overall, we wouldn’t stay here again, even if it means taking an Uber to a more distant hotel if the nearby Kingscliff options are fully booked.

It was so easy to check in and check out. The room was really cute and retro - the decor was nice and I especially loved the bathroom. Giant shower with one of those rain fall shower heads, the mirror even had bulbs all around it which made doing my make up so easy. It's so close to the beach, cafes/restaurants and Woolies and a servo. I will definitely be visiting again! :)

Newly renovated rooms that are clean and comfy not far from the beach. We stayed in the family suite for one night - mum, dad and adult daughter. Main room had the queen bed, kitchenette and dining table, while the second bedroom had two single beds - with own air con. The bathroom had a big bath. The complimentary tea/coffee and toiletries were luxe. We noticed that bikes and surfboards were available. Reception was lovely, we bought two of their tote bags - they're big and sturdy. Check in was via a code and was easy and simple. Will definitely be back for a longer stay.

This is the standard of which ALL other Motel and Hotels should be judged by. The ease of 100 per cent digital booking and payment and later checking in is the future. Seamless and quick! The suite was the best I have stayed in and rivals even the top echelon of International Brands. Decor was excellent. Spotlessly clean, outstanding utilities. I will definitely stay here again and suggest it to everyone I know.

The rooms were so beautiful and clean, considering this is just your standard motel I would honestly say it's being maintained better than a lot of hotels and you can really see that they put a lot of passion into the place, the decor reflects the peaceful environment around and there's just so much space outside of your own room too! the staff were wondering especially the manager who helped us after I couldn't get into my room, was always present on site and it just seemed really well ran!! I will miss this place a lot.

Great motel for overnight stay. The communication from the staff was excellent and succinct. It was so eay to arrive and access the room. The rooms have been renovated however, have kept the retro feel. All amenities and conveniences available. Recommend.
Great motel for overnight stay. The communication from the staff was excellent and succinct. It was so eay to arrive and access the room. The rooms have been renovated however, have kept the retro feel. All amenities and conveniences available. Recommend.

Great motel lovely retro rooms and a great front bench/bar to sit at and watch the world go by. Close to the beach and walking to town only took about 15 minutes. Would definitely stay there again.

I booked a last minute stay at the property and it was great. Being a ground floor room which I was able to park near made it a lot easier travelling solo with kids. Having the coffee van on site was really convenient too. It’s pretty far from the main Kingscliff shops and cafes but it’s still a very nice area close to the beach and very walkable. The communal kitchen was very handy. I would definitely stay here again and it’s great knowing that pooches are welcome too!

Blue Waters Motel was the perfect spot to stay during my trip around tweeds head and the Gold Coast. I spent the trip around Chinderah and Kingscliff, so the location was awesome. Amazing motel. A great find. Super clean, 24hr kitchen, little reception area where you can buy beer/mixers and snacks. Coffee cart outside in the morning. Nice little pool too. Would definitely return.

I booked online with no expectations of what the accommodation may present. The communications from the admin gave a positive vibe before we had arrived. when I walked into the reception I was made at ease by the lady in charge, the room was not like the usual motel rooms that we have stayed in, in that an obvious effort had been made to be faithful to a beach vibe and retro style. The annexed communal kitchen was a pleasant surprise as was the filtered water (still and spiritic) chilled on tap. Well done you. We were a little sad that we only had one night.

It was so easy to check in and check out. The room was really cute and retro - the decor was nice and I especially loved the bathroom. Giant shower with one of those rain fall shower heads, the mirror even had bulbs all around it which made doing my make up so easy. It's so close to the beach, cafes/restaurants and Woolies and a servo. I will definitely be visiting again! :)

Como hotel de passagem cumpre seu papel. O quarto é confortável, com uma boa cama e bom chuveiro. Notamos alguns pequenos detalhes apenas na conservação do quarto, mas nada que atrapalhasse a estadia. O isolamento acústico não é tão bom. Não nos atrapalhou pois as pessoas nos quartos ao lado eram bem silenciosas, mas acho que em estadias mais prolongadas pode ser um inconveniente. Muito prático e fácil acesso fora dos horários de funcionamento da recepção e funcionários muito gentis.

Blue Water Motel is a comfortable option for a short stay in Kingscliff. The room is well set up with a fridge, kettle and toaster. The bed is very comfortable. However the design of the bathroom has not been well thought out. Only one shelf, few hooks for towels and the water did not drain well from the shower. The communal kitchen and morning coffee cart are great extras. All in all the Blue Water Motel is good value.

A hidden gem in Gold Coast! Been to a bunch of hotels around the area, and this was by far the best experience. Such a beautifully designed, well-run hotel with sparkling water on tap to boot. Big thanks to Claire for her hospitality.
