This is a lovely old chateau, not fully modernised, but even so, it is comfortable, price reflects this. We appreciated it's authenticity, and peace and quiet. This is like visiting how these homes were historically. Massive grounds, beautiful big cedars etc.surrounding a great pool. Lovely hosts, very likable, can't do enough, very hard working. Comfortable attitude. Large bedrooms and historically decorated common rooms. We have been here several times, it is very refreshing. We would fully recommend

For us to be able to stay in such an old family chateau is pretty unique. There are certain things that we have to accept, like no air conditioning and tea making facilities in our room but it had WiFi. The two major plus points were still the magnificence of the house itself and setting, and the two hosts. Two lovely people who share their love of where they live.

Charming chateau in bucolic Loire countryside. Like staying with your new Châtelains friends. Owners kind and so interesting… Authentic, warm- stepping into history for a moment. Grounds so lovely to explore.

We’ve stayed at Chaeau du Vau twice and loved it both times , for its very relaxing, with immense grounds, plenty of local walks and for those that do - there’s a good local golf course, the breakfast is excellent, and beds very comfortable, ,- one is made to feel very much at home, can’t wait to return .
