The staff and room were good. But the area isn't close to much and there are prostitutes that walk the street in front.

Overall this was not a good stay and was a poor value. The room was not very clean. The floor needed mopping and there was a hairball on the bathroom vanity. The bedding was clean however. The interaction at check in is just at a teller window in a little alcove and not very friendly at that. Be prepared to hand over CASH for a deposit for your room key card. Overall the area did not seem unsafe but there is nothing walkable nearby except a Circle-K and a Walgreens. Don't let the Freemont address fool you, it's not close to the Freemont Experience. I wouldn't walk that busy street at night. The room was very dimly lit and one of the lamps not working did not help. There was no safety bolt on the door, there were no hangers in the closet area, and there was no alarm clock. The bathroom was very tired and worn, but not dirty. The dorm style fridge and the air conditioner worked well, as did the TV with a good channel lineup.

A vehicle breakdown forced me to stay in Vegas overnight. There was a lot going on that weekend so descent rooms at a reasonable price were scarce and all available rooms were going for above their normal prices. The room was not very clean. The floor needed mopping and there was a hairball on the bathroom vanity. The bedding was clean however. They were very rude, false advertisement and very nasty. I saw two roaches within the first 10 minutes of me being there.
