Days Inn by Wyndham Charleston WV

Check in is thru a window, not very friendly or welcoming, no do not disturb sign so maids woke us up at 9:30. Old, small elevator for room at fattest corner. Horrible view of rear. Confusing because Days Inn and Super 8 are same place. Many rooms being renovated

They were in the process of remodeling the building so it the outside was rather unsightly. The room itself was very clean. Pretty "bare-bones." No toilet paper dispenser, but since we were only there to sleep and move on, it was not a big deal. Breakfast was acceptable since it was included: waffles, muffins, cereal, pre-made eggs that could be microwaved. Enough choices to get us back on the road. Desk employees were friendly and helpful. Gas stations, Bob Evans were within walking distance, Kroger was about 1/2 mile away. Fine for what we wanted.

When we arrived after being told we could check in late, the young lady at the front desk told us to come back at 7:00 a.m. and we can check in then. Upon our arrival at 7:00 a.m., a new lady had arrived at the front desk and she told us that would be an additional $25 if you wanted to check in before 3:00 p.m. . After driving all night this was not ideal but we did it anyway because we could not get a refund on our reservations. After getting up to our room, we realized that that side of the building was being painted and under construction. We slept for most of the first day, then got up late in the afternoon and got lunch. We came home to find that our door had been completely covered with a tarp and they were spraying the front of the building. The guys painting sprayed my wife as she walked by, sprayed my dog, then stopped and didn't spray me because I was walking last LOL thank God. We then sat inside the room and ran the air conditioning at which point we realized the paint was being pulled in from the air conditioner into the room and that we were getting lightheaded and dizzy. We end up having to pay all night and having crazy hot wild sex like back when we were teenagers. Great time terrible room, found pubes in the bathtub, no soap, no shampoo, no wash rags, and it was cue on the toilet seat. Waiting for the owner of our concerns when we were trying to book the room again for another night. Only he wanted us to pay up front and we planned on stiffing him anyway.

Thomas as friendly and took care of our checking quickly. The young lady in the breakfast room was caring and even wished ‘safe travels’. This is refreshing and beyond her duties. I appreciated that very much. Wish that I would know her name. Our room was clean and had expected amenities. There was just a snow storm so the parking had ice boulders and was covered making it difficult to know where curbs were, but we still made it pretty easily.

the property outside is NOT like the picture shown on the web; it looks run down and you seriously wonder if you want to leave your car outside; the area is not the best safe looking. The hotel is under remodeling and boy! did we get a wonderful surprise with the room: clean, updated, great bed lots of space; It still has ways to go but it was reasonably priced. If I had been alone I woulnt have stayed there.

My room pass card had to be recharged every day even though I paid in advance for a week's stay and no possibility of sleep due to other guests throwing a rager every night. There was no parking close to your room, my car was broken into. All spaces in front were handicapped until one day all the partiers suddenly decided they could park there. The front desk clerk put her boyfriend in the room next to mine and he was up at around 6:00 am. screaming into his phone while sitting in the open doorway of his room, about 10 feet from my bed, asking him to hold it down, he didn`t. All in all the worst time I have ever spent in a motel. Please read this and decide to stay elsewhere. Roaches, roaches, roaches.

Overall the stay was good. It was quiet and check in and check out was very easy, I used Hotels.com to reserve a room. The hotel is under renovation so things are in a little disarray outside but not to bad. Breakfast could be better with more choices to pick from.

Driveway into hotel in fixing up. .

The property is run down, old, not inviting at all. However, I was shocked when I opened the door to find the bedroom had been remodeled and upgraded. I saw signs on a few other doors that the rooms were being remodeled. Obviously, the owners are working to improve the place and I appreciated that. The bed was comfortable and my room being on the side away from the freeway was quiet. I just needed a room for the night and for the price, it was fine.

The staff are all very nice people. The building is under construction with limited parking. There are ants in the room and there were some small flying insects, perhaps fruit flies. There were no batteries in the tv remote. When I did get batteries, ESPN was not available, and I missed the Wimbledon finals which was the only time I turned on the television. It's all good though. I understand a lot of the problems come from construction, etc. I'm not complaining. You asked, I told.

Roaches! This is terrible. I do not want to stay here again, unless the roach problem is taken care of!

The lights didn’t work the outlet didn’t work. The tub was filthy. The comforters were stained floor was dirty bugs on the floor would never stay there again.

The fridge did not keep anything cold and had an awful smell. The bathtub had black mold in the grout.

The rooms where renovated and clean, the fridge doesn't have a freezer, it's kinda difficult to figure out how to get to the actual hotel so it's best to check in before night you have to go through the family dollar and auto zone entrance, overall I was satisfied there wasn't any bad smell in room id recommend

The floors in the room turn you get black when walking on them. My shower did not drain. The exhaust int bathroom made noise for nothing, because it didn't remove and steam from the shower. The comforter and towels were stained and dirty looking. All together the place could use a deep cleansing.

Hotel is dirty, sheets were unclean, pillowcases and towels had stains. Check in clerk was lazy and unprofessional. Hotel felt unsafe.

Surprisingly old with extremely low toilets needs renovation, Noisy off highway. At least bed was comfortable

It was clean and appeared recently painted, and the staff was excellent. Room had a fridge and microwave. But it needs some work, more outlets (not even enough for all the lamps). The WIFI didn't work at all during the 2 full days and nights I was there. The staff called another motel so I could use theirs in their lobby. The "breakfast" sucked. The area isn't great, but the price is good. The building is set up to be safer than most. If they got the WIFI fixed, I'd stay there again and save money. The staff are what made the difference. Good people.

As advertised, Clean, decent free breakfast. I can sleep like a rock so I slept great but it is a noisy area near the highway.

The TV was broken. The bathroom vent was very loud. I got a room far from the elevator. The price went up and I wanted to stay longer because it was the cheapest hotel in the area. The breakfast consisted of chocolate and blueberry muffins and coffee. It was clean and conveniently located. It wasn't bad for $111 including taxes for a Thursday and Friday night. I wasn't going to pay $89.56 plus taxes per night though.

For a reasonably priced motel, most things were fine. My wife didn't like the low toilet and the high bed. You can't move the motel but more outside cleaning and maybe a fence would block the poor view.

Rooms are too small, no house-cleaning provided in my room. No shampoo or soap. TV was horrible. Small and picture quality was terrible.

Accommodations overall were fairly solid. I had WiFi access issues for my laptop in the room. I was sent to tech support, which couldn't get me straightened out in their early attempts, so I gave up on it. I had to do my work in my car from car WiFi. Disappointing.

Nice clean non. Smoking room. Me in one room my sister in a room 2 doors down. Clean room nice shower loved the night lite. Sound proofed very well considering we’re right next to the exit. Well done.

The room was surprisingly clean but could use some updating. The front desk lady was very uninterested in here job. Took her a few minutes to raise her head up from her phone to acknowledge me

The receptionist was not very nice, acted annoyed with us and another family. Doors were taped shut, given a room that was already occupied. Lights didn’t work. I definitely did not feel safe having my family there. If it weren’t for us being exhausted from driving, we would have continued our drive.

The lady who checked us in was friendly and efficient. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable.

Nice and relaxing here and the women who greeted me was extremely nice so far both times coming here ive had great experience with the staff

Not a bad place. Interstate noise, but I expected that. Very nice and friendly staff.

Our stay was great! Friendly workers and the lady at the front desk was amazing! I didn’t get her name but we checked in around 3:00 pm and she was just amazing and friendly as could be! Parking was great and the room was very clean! I booked my room there for a surgery the next day and had to travel 3 hrs from home. I would definitely recommend this place! If you haven’t stayed with them, book your room now!

The room was dirty. It look like they did a quick clean up. Gnats were all over the mirror. Property sat back and was hard to find.

The place was clean amd comfortable. I love the affordability and the location is perfect within the airports proximity.

Rooms were very clean. The location was hard to find. The signs were hard to locate. The bedspread was nasty.

This location is simply not the best in the world, but it was OK for the price.

This property is right off of the higway, so a very convienent location. There were multiple dining options nearby. While the facilities were a little worn, the room itself was very clean. There was a slighty musky smell in the room but it was not bothersome. Overall, very satisfied with our stay, including the staff, who were friendly and helpful.

Pictures were not even close to what was advertised. Knats in the room. Tiny bathroom. Considered sleeping in the car. Surrounding area did not feel safe. If it hadn't been so late we would have moved to a different hotel. Checked out as soon as we could the next morning. Never again!

This place terrible , my room was in back 1 floor, room all dirty, plenty fly on room, when I say to front desk I am disabled want room first floor whit easy parking ,, send me on back...don't go there, no pool, no breakfast

I was on the interstate side, and it was a little loud until around 11 pm. Breakfast was pretty basic. Courteous and efficient staff.
