It was well secure. Security was on duty so we feel safe.

They actually accommodated us in whatever we needed nice clean an most was friendly i had one issue with parking the young man was holding spots i feel first come first serve because i was gonna be there just as many nights as the lady overall not bad

Friendly staff and convenient food options in just walking distance. I didn't like the fact that the parking space was small. But i can see past that. Definitely going back next year and may spend a longer time.

No private beach

Nice that it had easy access to beach, but the location doesn’t pull properly on GPS and access is difficult as it’s same as for beach, and parking is limited. Clean, and very basic. Nice for an overnight stay as it’s cleaned, air conditioned and near beach. Beach closes at 5pm. Getting deposit back was simple, just don’t ruin or steal anything.

There was no private beach as advertised - Otherwise it was a decent satay . The staff was very nice

The property was clean and the room was super clean and cozy. I’ll definitely go back again on my next trip. 10/10

Cleanliness

The staff was friendly.I placed sign to make up bed, clean room ..it was not done.Hot water only worked once of the four nights I stayed .The Hotel area was quiet and located very conveniently. Would return but wish they fix these issues or will be forced to shorten my stay.

The Ocean View Hotel is in the heart of Ocho Rios. Walking distance from restaurants, fast food, shopping, etc. the staff are friendly and efficient, and the rooms are super clean and comfortable.

the linens was not clean i was itching the entire stay, the internet and tv system is a mess, staff was very, nice 😊 and the location is very convenient

Hôtel bien située au centre ville. Mais pas de petit déjeuner pas de plage privée comme indique la plage ( le port ) est à côté de l’hôtel transat et parasol payant 5$ le transat et 5$ le parasol nous sommes rester 7 jours le ménage a été fait que 2 fois et encore parce que je suis aller me plaindre les draps et les serviettes ne sont pas changer l’hôtel est chère pour rien ne vaut pas son prix

The towel rack in the bathroom fell off of the wall as did the toilet roll dispenser. There were ants in the bathroom. There were gnats flying around the outlets. The neighbors next to us blared their music until 3 a.m. after making off with our veranda chair. The beach was closed at 5:00 p.m. The whole area was sketchy and shady. If you are looking for a place with zero amenities, zero cleanliness, zero hot water, zero space, this is the location for you. If you want a place that is somewhat decent, keep moving. I would not recommend this dive to ANYONE not even to save a buck. Completely horrible. We stayed the first night bc we got in at five. Immediately contacted Expedia and then checked out first thing in the morning. The front desk worker came upstairs to verify our complaints/concerns and acted like this was the Ritz Carlton and this was the first time anyone had ever complained.

Loud noise late into the night from surrounding area made for restless sleep. Staff was courteous.

There was not internet connection in my room (12). They no longer do breakfast, contrary to what their ads say. I had to ask for my room to be cleaned. The cash security deposit is annoying The is loud music at night

I would be somewhat hesitant picking the hotel. It's not actually at the beach and there is only one free entrance but more importantly it's very noisy due to a nearby nightclub and there were a lot of local Jamaicans staying at the hotel, some of which were drinking and smoking weed (the later is quite normal in Jamaica but not something I am used to or appreciate being close to). The staff did its best to help and accommodate me (including the security guard who is there from 5 PM to 8 AM). They were very friendly but this was not exactly the kind of place I had expected when booking. I also kept struggling with mosquitos in the room that we never managed to get rid of even if the latter was probably just unfortunate.

The parking area was okay. I didn’t like the location of our room. When I booked for the room I requested the Ocean View, but it wasn’t. The mattress was very uncomfortable. The staff was exceptionally nice. The location was very convenient but my biggest disappointment was my room.

The staff was very welcoming and nice. The only thing is that the Wi-Fi was slow at times but other than that it was a good experience. I recommend!

It’s close to the beach and shopping areas and also to get food ,very noisy and rooms are small .Security was not professional but staff was friendly.Will book again if they corrected all flaws.There was a bar on complex that played loud music all night,property clean and well kept.

I had an amazing stay at Ocean View Hotel. From the moment I checked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and very attentive to my needs. The room was spotless. The hotel’s location was perfect—close to local attractions and restaurants, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay!

The service provided by the entire staff from front desk to security was excellent! We arrived kinda late and our reservation was not showing up but instead of turning us away they accommodated us so they could resolve the issue the following day. We had had a loooong and stressful day of travel so the kindness that was expressed to us was much needed. The issue was resolved the following day. The location is so close to the beach but also close to the everything else. The room was a fair size for us. There were not very many sockets for plugging things up but no big deal, we made it work. Even though the entire staff was amazing I want to acknowledge 3 people and I hope I get names correct. Ms Morrison, Ms Lee, and the housekeeper with the red hair (sorry I didn’t get her name) They were amazing and always ready to help! I would definitely stay here again!

Security response time was off! But, well, hmmm, however we managed to wait.

I had a very difficult time in Jamaica where I had to get the police involved. The woman at the front desk was SO Polite and friendly about the situation making sure that I was OK. I cannot thank you enough! Definitely stay here whether you are on a cruise ship or not (the staff is wonderful!!!!)

At check-in, I was shocked to learn they wouldn’t accept a credit card for the deposit, leading to a frustrating process involving calls to the manager, who insisted on cash. This made check-in unnecessarily complicated and unpleasant. I paid the deposit but noted I’d be leaving early for a flight. The hotel’s downtown location felt unsafe, with drug addicts and touts lingering nearby, making nighttime walks uncomfortable. Contrary to its name, my room had no ocean view, only a wall and stairwell, and was not located on the beach but rather in the middle of a municipal car park. On a positive note, the room was very clean. At 6 a.m., after inspecting the sheets, towels, minibar, and beds, the night watchman pulled my cash deposit from his pocket and returned it to me. As we left early, we found our car locked in the municipal parking area and had to navigate a confusing exit through an entrance gate as the other carpark gates were locked or blocked. Due to the cash-only deposit policy, unsafe location, and short-term rental practice, I would not stay here again.

The hotel is good for a one night stay. nice and clean. The beach is a short walk and shops etc are within walking distance. There is however no views unless you sit outside the door and then you can see the local car park. Overall the place was clean. Please checkout at least 20-30mins before you have to as the check your room before they give you back your deposit and that could take ages

The staff was unprofessional, one girl who seem to be house keeper and front desk was so unpleasant and full of attitude. I felt like I was begging someone to accommodate me. The last girl that checked me out was the most pleasant in comparison to the others. No kettle, microwave nor iron board in room. We were not told that we could request these until I ask the security where can I get some hot water and use a microwave. He said the office was not open and that’s where I have to do it. The office wasn’t not open until after 9 and it was to be open from 8 am .

However, there was an issue with mosquitoes due to the bathroom window being left open, resulting in a room filled with them upon arrival. Additionally, the hotel’s hidden location makes it challenging for taxi and shuttle drivers to find. For reference, the correct address is 19 Main Street, Ocho Rios, directly across from the Reno Gaming Casino.

Location is bad and not safe at night and in a busy bus and taxi parking lot. Dark and not well lit. I did not stay there and could not get my money back at check in. Had to find a safer location nearby to stay. Bad experience and very disappointed.

This is a an excellent spot to stay if you are wantt o maske the mostnof the surroundings. There are lots of activities and good restaurants in the area and the are within walking distance from the hotel. Overall very good experience

This property was clean and convenient to everything including shopping, restaurants and most of all the beach! About that, the hotel gives free access and towels to ocho rios bay beach tjat is literally next door which saves guests US25. Factor that into the cost of a room at the hotel and that's a steal for sure. No need to worry that they offer no meals because there are restaurants and atms galore footsteps away in both directions. The television didnt offer many channels but did you really go there for that?

The staff was really friendly, helpful, and courteous. I love the laundry service. The room was nice and clean. The location is in the heart of Ochi. It’s right by Ochie Bay beach, Island Village, and many entertainment spots, all within a short walking distance.

The staff were friendly, however the young man who assisted us on arrival ..cant remember nane as very uncommon, he is the backbone to thus place he was polite, inducted us to our room, tried to assist with difficult TV, gave the dos and dints in the local area. Always polite, checking we were ok i would stay here again. It is exceptionally clean. The breakfast is ok only, comparing to Sandcastles, where you can sit and get a pool view breakfadt of all sirts, costs a lit kess and is much more plesant it would be good to have a kettle in the room so that you can make a hit drink in the night and available ice. But it was good. Really clean.
