St Kilda Central Apartment Hotel

Easy to check in. The room is clean.

Cheap accommodation but it does show. Lots of stains and makeshift repairs in our room, low attention to detail for cleaning. Missing utensils and basic crockery. Shower was stained and grotty so didn’t use. Tap fixtures were loose and overall area didn’t feel safe or inviting. Lots of social housing around hotel with “interesting” folk roaming around. Staff at reception were lovely however but on balance, I would not recommend this area or accom

My decision to book this hotel was based on numerous good reviews; however, my stay was disappointing. I was under the impression that it was an apartment with kitchen facilities, so I purchased groceries for breakfast before checked in. Upon arrival, I found only a small room with a toaster and no television. The most alarming issue was that the door could not be locked. Given our vulnerable ground-floor location, we felt unsafe and had a very restless night, unfortunately we found this issue after front desk close at 6pm! It was a profoundly negative experience.

The lady at reception was very welcoming and helpful. She is an asset to the business. The room itself was spacious, clean, well resourced and quiet. I would happily stay there again. Thank you.
