Staff were fantastic. Easy check-in. Solid two star motel. Right beachfront. Room very clean. A little remodeled. Shower was clean and no mold in crevices. However bathroom needed some repair on baseboards and wall under window and lock did not work on bathroom window. I noticed a couple extremely small baby roaches in shower stall. Really a shame because the room with fridge and stove was in very good shape otherwise. Bed was very comfortable. Super nice pool. Great value for a simple motel in excellent location.

Sandcastle is a smaller motel but it is clean and they have done alot of improvements this past year. Their pool has been reopened and you can also access the beach again. It is conveniently located to restaurants and the Eagles. We would stay there again if visiting the Daytona area.

Overall good stay for the price. Great little beach room!! Loved the walkway between the rooms. GREAT view if the water. Clean pool and very easy access To the beach! Had issues with the gate getting back into the pool area but would most likely stay again.

The Hurricane did some damage , so NO POOL , No Access to beach, If you are looking for these things than call and find out when these issues will be fixed. But it didn't look like any time soon, Hotel is small very clean room, good smell !! Doing some outside painting, Nice location just cant enjoy the beach unless you drive somewhere.

Good check in. Plenty of free parking (July). Room was very clean. Nice bathroom. Bed was fine. A/C was fine. Microwave and fridge worked. Adequate pool and deck area. Great access to beach. Tiki bars close by. I’d stay again for the price.

We reported there was no smoke alarm in the room and the lighting in the stairwell was out. Neither were corrected. TV cable was out. No paper towels. Had to swap out our own towels. Half the electrical plugs didn’t work. Pealing paint everywhere. The shower was molded. The toilet clogged regularly with just paper disposal

Room was very dirty, even a piece of candy bar next to yhe bed past guest used towel hanging on bathroom door, and hair all over the shower walls. The floor tiles were cracked and sharp. The bed made a noise like kicking a metal cabinet being kicked every time you moved. The shower knob is made of metal and very sharp.

The room looked like it had not been stayes in or cleaned in some time. Dust covering the barhroom door frame, mold surrounding the whole bathtub, hair gathered on top of the drain. The towels were not much bigger than hand towels.

We have stayed here many timea and the people are just wonderful but this last visit was not so good. Many roaches on the room. Not just the water bugs, i mean the pointy german roaches. We had to empty oir bags and clean everything before bringing into our home. At first just a few but by the 3rd day they were many. On th toilet paper. In the closet, walking across pillow.

This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. The kitchen table and counter were sticky and visibly dirty. There were dirty dishes in the cupboard. The bathroom floor had not been mopped for a long time.

This a very clean but very dated place. It seems like the rooms have been recently painted. The door to our room was less than 3 feet from the bed and had a large crack that went around the top and one side of the door. Lots of outside smells getting in. The bathroom in our room was very new and very modern. This room normally goes for $85, but during Bike week and Supercross it was three times that price. Not worth that price, but worth a $100 at the most. Had a swimming pool and beach access. The parking is very limited. Not even enough parking for all who stay there. We had to call one night because of no place to park. Ended up parking across the street. I would stay here again but not for 3 times the normal price and I would definitely want a larger room.

It was old, the bed was not comfortable at all and the pillows were lumpy! The tv did not work, the door seal needs to be replaced because the sunlight came through it along with the smoking section outside!! I do not recommend staying there!!

I have no complaints at all about this property. It’s beach front. It’s affordable. It’s not a resort so don’t expect that. But we stayed in a room next door to my sister with her 3 kids and we never heard a peep out her or her 3 rambunctious boys. If you’re bougie keep scrolling and searching. If your are looking for a place to stay that’s decent, affordable and serves its purpose…this is it. Even has a cute lil kitchenette. We would stay again. ❤️ My biggest “issue” (if you can even call it that - and I can’t because it’s been a trend this trip) is the water pressure in the shower. All in all I rather pay this and stay here pleased than pay $200-$400 to sleep and get sandy and salty with a bunch of kids. Was safe, quiet, comfy….would pick it again no doubt.

Just came over from Apopka to go see Katt Williams perform at the Ocean Center. The Sand Castle hotel was reasonably priced and not to far from the venue. The bathroom didn't have a fan, and the window didn't have a screen and wouldn't stay up. The half curtain was placed at the top of the window in the shower leaving me feeling a little exposed in a room overlooking the sidewalk. The curtain rod was spring loaded though so moving it for more privacy while showering wasn't an issue. The chair by the bed was a little old and worn. I was pleasantly surprised by the kitchenette and dishes. All in all not a bad place to crash for the night.

Overall, it's ok. However the bed was the old standard double bed NOT a queen size. The mattress was not the best either , lumpy ! ALL beds these days should be minimum size queen !

There was a group staying there that partied every night until late. One night they were up until 1,00 AM. Their kids running around and screaming like heathens. I spoke with the lady at the front desk and she said they were regular customers. I said that makes it look bad on you for allowing it. I travel to the Daytona Beach area every two months. I won’t be staying there again.

The hotel was very clean. We were really impressed with the hotel staff. The employees onsite work very hard and are always very friendly. If we needed anything they would have it to us immediately.

The manager at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We arrived earlier than check in time but he checked us in anyway. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Great location, friendly staff, economically price on the positive side. No hot water in shower (but did have hot water in the bathroom and kitchen sinks — go figure??) and the room could use a deep cleaning once in awhile on the negative side. Overall, we will probably stay at Sand Castle again.

If I could give this place a 10 star review I would! From the staff to the rooms to the perfect location this is an all around AMAZING place to stay at! Not even at the Hilton inn will you get this type of hospitality, I highly recommend anyone who’s looking for a get away to find a room at the SandCastle Motel!

Clean and convenient to dining and shopping. Daytona Speedway about 20 minutes away. They have beach access and few places to sit/lounge and see the sunrise and observe the beach.

Good check in. Plenty of free parking (July). Room was very clean. Nice bathroom. Bed was fine. A/C was fine. Microwave and fridge worked. Adequate pool and deck area. Great access to beach. Tiki bars close by. I’d stay again for the price.

everything was amazing. Room was amazing. Pool was amazing. Weather was amazing. There was a storm that came in at the end of the night but photographing it was beautiful. Got up early and photographed the sunrise absolutely beautiful Saturday. Weather was gorgeous. Everything about my day was perfect.

My room was a regular queen bed room with a kitchenette. No other cooking items to cook with, utensils and such so it was useless. Usually my stays with kitchenettes they have small basic things like a few cookware items and some cooking utensils. Some dishware and silverware. Which is usually mixed matched. But none were there. I had several roommates, ROACHES, who did not want to go to their roach motels that were around the room. I took a few pictures of them. I did not notify management about the insect situation but I will. The bed was comfortable and the a/c unit worked very well. Shower and bathroom were fine. This is my second stay here and I'd say that my first was definitely better.

It is a older motel so some stuff was just expected to be mid. However the management could do stuff to improve the place. Also there is no elevator again older place but something I would of like to know before getting a room on the 3rd floor with a family.. but room was pretty clean and bed was pretty comfortable Staff handled most things quickly. There was so sketchy wiring in the bathroom luckily we have older kids. Awesome location as far as the beach. We will definitely stay again but request a bottom floor next time. Pool was nice too. Wish it stayed open a bit later..
