We only stayed one night but we loved everything about Grand House! Such a beautiful and unique boutique hotel. The rooms are cozy and inviting, and the beds very comfortable with nice linens. The staff at the beach club and restaurant was excellent and very accommodating. A must-stop on your Algarve trip!

Tim was small but comfortable. Enjoyed the town and hotel. Their Beach Club closed at 5 which was a total bummer. I think they keep it open later doing the high season. It’s about a 10 min ride in their shuttle. 30 min by bike, which are available free of charge at the hotel. There’s a great bike riding area through a forest. Breakfast was lovely. Staff was very kind and helpful.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel with a Colonial feel. The Grand Beach Club was a Great surprise. Grand setting too and a Lovely restaurant. We will return soon.

The property is very nice and clean and breakfast was fantastic. The beach club is about a 3 minute drive, and is very peaceful. They close at 5pm, which is really early. The sun is still beaming until 8pm. It would have been nice to not feel rushed out of there, especially since there isn’t a ton of things to do in the evening. You basically are stationed at the hotel. The area needs more restaurants. Definitely a little sleepy of a town, but worth a night. We stayed two, and it was one too many. The shopping is great. Nice Portuguese pottery and other authentic items for cheap.

Must book, great location, staff were all great as nothing was to much trouble, hotel was clean and tidy, there was 2 terraces which we enjoyed a drink watching the sun going down before heading out for dinner, the beach club is a nice 2km stroll from the hotel, and just €3-5 euro to get a taxi back if you don't want to walk, The beach club is such a wonderful place and we spent 2 days of complete relaxation on our 4 night stay so well worth the visit, the hotel staff booked our sunbeds and the food at the beach club is very nice as well. on our last night we enjoyed some cocktails in the hotel bar that were mixed up by one of the staff and highly recommend the Mai Tai

Simply top notch! Definitely five star attention to detail in a beautiful historic house. Breakfast selection was excellent quality and a wide variety of options. The Beach Club was a pleasurable way to spend several hours. Poolside food & bar service was attentive and menu items we tried were delicious.

Our stay was okay overall, but there were a few areas that could be improved. We had booked a suite, but the room felt quite small. There was limited space for hanging wet towels, and the wooden sink design made it difficult to wash without water splashing everywhere. The shower was right next to the bed with no place to hang towels, and the wardrobe was quite small for two people. We also noticed that the bathroom amenities were not refilled daily, which was inconvenient. The outdoor pool was located at another property, which we didn’t mind, but unfortunately when we visited there was a photoshoot taking place with photographers and models as there was no warning from hotel or the pool staff. This made it difficult to relax and enjoy the facilities. Overall, while the hotel was okay, these issues meant the experience wasn’t as comfortable as we had hoped, so we wouldn’t choose to stay again.

Tive uma estadia maravilhosa! Todos os funcionários são fantásticos, a decoração é lindíssima e de grande qualidade, os quartos são muito acolhedores. Tudo muito limpo e organizado. As bebidas do bar são realmente ÓPTIMAS e o bar em si tem um ambiente excelente. O pessoal da recepção foi extremamente prestável antes, durante e depois da minha estadia. Normalmente, o Wi-Fi é um ponto fraco na maioria dos hotéis, mas no Bordoy funcionou perfeitamente e nunca caiu. Com certeza voltarei!

Sadly there was no wifi or television during our stay, apart from the first few hours. This has been an ongoing issue at this hotel apparently which they can’t seem to rectify. We had to check out 2 nights early as we had so much work we needed to do and without wifi it was impossible. I haven’t heard back from the hotel about a reimbursement for this yet either.

Excellent staff hotel facilities were value for money but the cooked breakfast was bland English breakfast on first day was cold and the egg seemed to have been reconstituted Omelette on day 2 the same bland egg Room upgrade was really appreciated with probably the best view from the hotel Must question the cost of breakfast as we were charged £25 on line but only 18 Euro at the hotel Ripped off by Hotels.com

Grand house was so impressive from the arrival and seeing the exterior of this remarkable building to the welcome and all interactions with the team. The daily gifts were lovely and fresh oranges supplied throughout. Breakfast was superb with views across the river. Thank you for his amazing experience

Fabulous property and wonderful helpful staff. The hotel is beautifully appointed as is everything you’d except from a chateaux & relais property. We would definitely return. The only downside was that the hotel was not serving dinner in the lovely dining room. However they did serve snacks and had a full bar.

Top notch service. Breakfast was outstanding. Food at the Beach Club also excellent. Would highly recommend. Caution: if using a US credit card be warned they forced us to pay in US dollars instead of euros, thus paying a higher exchange rate that someone made money from - and they told us that we were charged in euros although the receipts said otherwise. We were not offered the machine to process payments - the employee did it.
