Check-in was a breeze with parking directly in front of room. Room was large and very clean, beds were comfortable, linens clean. Bathroom was clean. Location was 3 miles from the ferry so very convenient. Definitely recommend!

Parking was very tight, spaces crammed in, room updated nicely but bathroom smelled musty snd silicone around tub and toilet very stained and coming off the tub. Never saw anyone, was texted about room being ready, door unlocked for us. Was weird.

It's a basic motel. Clean sheets and bathroom. Breakfast was just right. Convenient location. Friendly staff. Only negative was that the rugs in the room were very old, giving a musty smell. They should replace the rugs with easier to maintain linoleum floors.

Bed was clean and comfortable. WiFi and TV (not cable - Roku) kept shutting off. Told owner that tv wouldn’t stay on and he came and checked it and said our WiFi signal wasn’t strong enough for tv and he would check it again when we checked out in the morning and put in a new access if it still wasn’t working. That was obviously of no use to us with no tv or WiFi for the evening. Shower pressure was terrible. Lots of spiders and spiderwebs in bathroom. Funky smell in the room but I think it’s the cleaner they use - not pleasant though.

The New Age Inn was an awesome surprise. The rooms are beautifully renovated. The room had a couch, fridge, microwave. The bed was very comfortable and didn’t squeak. haha The continental breakfast was much more than we had expected. The owner was very friendly and helped us out with letting us store our food in their freezer. I highly recommend this establishment.

The room was spacious and very clean. The staff were very friendly and provided more than a coffee & danish for breakfast. The hotel itself is old and could use a face lift, however the rooms have been upgraded.

Unfortunately the room smelled of terrible cigarette smoke . Keeping the ac on high the entire time to try and change it . It was wicked . I was worried my clothing and items were going to smell like it after we left . The tv also was a roku and only worked for one hour max and we couldn’t get it to stay on .

This was an adequate place to stay for an overnight. The room seemed recently renovated but the furniture was old. It was very clean and comfortable and about a 12 minute drive to the ferry.

What a dump. Not at all like presented in the listing. Was just looking for a quick place for my wife and I to stay for the night - we were catching the The CAT ferry the next morning. Really surprised to find no A/C in the room (is this 1948?). Site manager said she "could have one put in right away" ???? A group of people were sitting outside their non-A/C rooms drinking and talking. And the area it's located in is really sketchy. I wouldn't stay there - and didn't.

We stayed for a quick night before the ferry. Everything was clean and ready for us. However, it was an extremely hot day and A/C didn’t work. Probably not a big deal most days in Nova Scotia.

Must be owner operated as the service was great. Hubbie had an issue connecting to the wifi and first the nice young girl came down and when she couldn't get it to connect I believe her Dad was the man that came and tried. You could tell he was very computer savvy but it was my laptop not the wifi. Very nice!! The room was great, big and comfortable. Great jetted tub for two.

The owners were great. TV was not working and they fixed it immediately. Did appreciate the ROKU all set up for easy watching. Comfortable beds and a strong shower were really nice. Biggest issue was that there is no designated smoking area so other guests stood near our door smoking and the smoke blew in. Appeared that it was used for companies to house workers. Mid-week it was quiet. As the weekend approached, it got noisier at night. People from other rooms would take the outdoor chairs and move them together so they could talk (and smoke) until very late.

Typical family run motel with all the usual expectations, like very noisy A/C. Run down items. Indifferent staff. However it was clean, safe, and quiet and you can tell it is run by new owners trying to bring it upmarket. It was reasonably priced when I booked. Note that there is no breakfast (at least in September), and no coffee in the room. Office closed in the mornings. If you like your coffee in the morning you will have to make a Timmies run which is about a 5 minute drive.

Staff went above and beyond. Was on a long trip and very tired. I got messed up with our directions and the motel staff assisted us. Then when we pulled in he greeted us in the parking lot with our key. Let us know he prepared the room and turned the AC on. The next morning he even brought some shammy towels over to us so we could dry our motorcycle seats off from the rain the night before. Great experience, highly recommend.

Very clean, comfortable, spacious room. I received a text letting me know I could go right to the room which would be open with key inside. The owner/manager came to our room as soon as we drove in to explain the air conditioning as it was unusually warm, which was much appreciated. Although the motel is on a main road the rooms are set back and it was very quiet. Good convenient place to stay overnight before morning ferry.

This was a great little motel to stay at after we got off the CAT ferry from Bar Harbor. It was about 8 minutes away from the ferry terminal by car. There was a great sushi restaurant close by (Honey Bees) which was open until 8pm or so, so we were able to get some takeout from there (2 minute drive). The included breakfast at the motel was very nice and the hosts were quiet but friendly. The room was very clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. It was a nice and easy first night in Nova Scotia. If you stay here, be sure to visit the Cape Forchu lighthouse before setting out for other parts of Nova Scotia. It was about 20 minutes away by car.

Nicely renovated, just a few mins from downtown Yarmouth and the ferry. Good Continental breakfast including boiled eggs and cold meats. Will absolutely stay again when in the area

Hard to find at night due to name change and small signage. Rooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. Liked you could open a window for fresh air. Would stay again.

The owner/manager came to our room as soon as we drove in to explain the air conditioning as it was unusually warm, which was much appreciated. Although the motel is on a main road the rooms are set back and it was very quiet. Good convenient place to stay overnight before morning ferry.

Very clean, comfortable, spacious room. I received a text letting me know I could go right to the room which would be open with key inside. This was my best experience in a motel of this type. Staff were helpful, room was clean and in very good condition and the breakfast was good. The only thing lacking was in room coffee.

This is a great place to stay after disembarking from The CAT. The room was large, clean and comfortable with a nice breakfast included in the price. The bathtub was enormous, and a nice hot bath was enjoyed after a long day of travel.

Typical family run motel with all the usual expectations, like very noisy A/C. Run down items. Indifferent staff. However it was clean, safe, and quiet and you can tell it is run by new owners trying to bring it upmarket. It was reasonably priced when I booked. Note that there is no breakfast (at least in September), and no coffee in the room. Office closed in the mornings. If you like your coffee in the morning you will have to make a Timmies run which is about a 5 minute drive.

Easy parking right outside our room which was perfect for our cycling trip. The room was super clean and breakfast was well stocked and replenished quickly. Owners were very nice and accommodating.

We are on a road trip through the Maritimes. We arrived later than planned from the CAT ferry in Yarmouth and the owner was very kind at check-in. We stayed for 1 night and found the room adequate, very clean and spacious. They also have a refrigerator and a microwave. There is a definite 70’s vibe to the place!

This is a reminder of the difference between a hotel and a motel. When we drove in, there were some unsavory characters around. The rooms smelt of cigarettes and there were multiple holes in the walls covered by random stickers that were cut in half. We chose this for its proximity to the ferry. The owners are very nice and doing their best. The breakfast was sufficient.
