Montorio

Vineyard views from your condo depend on the room you get. Walking or sitting outside the views are amazing. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and Stefania provided milk, coffee and sugar as well as a bun and orange juice as a welcome. We had a problem with the toilet plumbing and she was very responsive. We are both in our late 60s and fit but we found the walk up to Montepulciano challenging and drove to the free parking after the first climb. It is a very hilly town and expect to be climbing steep stairs and ramps once you are within the town. Also it was still cold when we were there and we finally figured out on the 2nd day that our host controlled the heat. Overall we were pleased with our stay and with the exception of the very inconvenient overnight plumbing & heating problems our stay was excellent. It was reassuring to know our rental car and accommodation were behind a gate.

Stefania’s property is amazing. The care taken of not only the rooms but the grounds around the property is fantastic. Stefania was a great host and responded very quickly. Would recommend Montorio to anyone if travelling through the Montepulciano area.
