The breakfast was okay. Parking was a bit tight but worked out okay. Everywhere looked clean. A proper shelf in the bathroom would have been useful together with something to hold onto in the shower. Very well situated for attractions i.e. railway, local shops and beach.

A little tricky to find initially as it is a narrow access to the parking area, but good directions being close to the shop. Friendly staff, clean venue and convenient location for my short stay. Decent breakfast selection.

Lovely b&b being a 10 minute walk to the town centre of Sheringham. Lovely room with an excellent bathroom. Off road .parking.Continental breakfast with plenty of choice. Overall a superb stay .

Close to bus stop, parking free, 10minute walk into town. Continental breakfast. Tea and coffee in the room. Nice bathroom. Was probably the hottest day of the year so far but fan provided in room so was bearable.

The location of the property was very good. A short approx 15 mins walk into the town and the seafront. Also an ideal location for visiting lovely places around Sheringham. Free private parking was good. Well organised check-in. Staff Kate was very nice, friendly and helpful if needed. It looks like our smallest room Holt and much bigger Colombo next to ours room have been renowned compared some pictures on website. Comfy beds. Bathroom and toilet clean, even though the shower might need a little bit more care. WiFi no problem. Simple continental breakfast with self-service was ok. However, if you prefer having coocked or English Breakfast, the restaurant next-door offers it. In general, we enjoyed our stay In Sheringham very much.

The wallpaper in the bathroom was falling off. The bedding looked lovely and clean but on retiring the smell was horrendous, due to the actual pillows and duvet smelling of dirty sweat and greasy hair from continued use without being cleaned. The shower was difficult to get the correct water temperature. We paid £106.00 to stay for one night, this was a rediculous amount to pay for the terrible conditions. The only thing that we can honestly say that was really good was the lady that showed us to our room, she was able to get the door unlocked for us but we were unable to lock it. The light switch was outside of the door for the inner hallway, the neighbouring rooms guests continuously switch the light on and off which caused disturbance whilst trying to sleep. The windows were wide open when we arrived, we realised why this needed to be when we closed the windows to go out, on our return the smell in the room was awful. There was carpet laid over dirty carpets. Seriously would never stay there again.

The room was lush. Very clean and nice view! The only down sides were the invasion of ants in the kitchen. And the two dirty glasses that were given to us for when we stayed there.

Never received the pre check in instructions despite e-mailing the owner twice Sunday and saying I would not be contactable because travelling on the Monday, got no response to e-mails and even checked prior to leaving Monday morning - hassle. The room & bathroom wasn't cleaned for the 4 nights I was there, not were any complimentary teabags/coffee/sachets/milk sachets replaced through my stay - in fact the room remained as I left it each day, so clearly no cleaning was done. Breakfast was poor - do it yourself and the quality of the food was poor, including just getting whatever wasn't eaten the day before out the following morning - who knows how long some of the scones, crumpets and croissants had been around. Cheap reformed ham and reformed chicken slices in tupperware containers, very unappetising. Tried some the first morning, didn't repeat the experience and stuck with cereal after that. Not sure I got the room I booked as differs from the photo but room was comfortable enough. No fire evacuation posters anywhere, no fire exit signs - thought these were a legal requirement - no welcome packs in rooms, so no information about anything related to the property, the stay etc etc.

We had a very nice stay in this hotel. Check in was via key code, we got the instructions the day before. Our room was very nice, very clean, tv, tea and coffee, a very large bathroom. Breakfast came within the price, you had so much to choose from, with tables laid out for you to eat in the kitchen. The location was great to get into town. I would definitely stay here again if I visited Shetingham again.

A short walk away from Sheringham centre. Room was good and very clean. Excellent shower. We stayed in the Cromer room. Special mention to the lady who works in the shop and looks after the hotel side as well - an absolute credit - nothing was too much trouble and she made the weekend.

Good location on the edge of town, convenient for the buses along the North Norfolk coast. Short walk into the town. Ample car parking on the street or in the yard. Room was not overlarge but was clean and had everything needed and the decor was good. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Continental type breakfast ample and varied. Altogether, a very positive experience and we would be happy to book again when we come to Sheringham.

3 night stay, easy check in/out, friendly staff, buffet breakfast had a good selection of pastry based food, and cereals, toast etc. We stayed in the 'Cromer' room which has a memory foam bed, my wife did not like it. Good shower (in bath) One slight downside was that the radiator could not be turned down or off. As this room faces the road it meant needing to keep the dg window shut to keep traffic noise out (this said, road not particularly busy late at night).

Comfortable spacious room with all of the amenities and extra touches. Easy check in process. Convenient location to downtown and waterfront. Breakfast was lovely, with wide array of choices...fresh fruit, scones, waffles, breads, cheese, cold cuts, etc.

We had a very nice stay in this hotel. Check in was via key code, we got the instructions the day before. Our room was very nice, very clean, tv, tea and coffee, a very large bathroom. Booked on same day as arrival day...so booking process was fast and efficient. On arrival, following a text message about getting the keys from the shop, the manager saw my face regards instructions and said she'd come and show us, which she kindly did. Room was huge, clean, presented well and in keeping with trying to keep the room as modern as possible. Pity the wooden wardrobe had to be in there. King sized bed was comfy and bedding was clean and kept us warm. Room and bathroom temperature were good. Shower was functional. Kettle/tea/coffee etc. are always welcome. Continental breakfast had a lot of choice and was plentiful. Manager was very friendly and welcoming. Price was great.

Room was a little bit small, but had everything we needed - comfy bed, two chairs, table, tea and coffee making facilities, TV. Excellent large bathroom with bath and shower, toilet and basin. Breakfast just right for us, Continental and serve yourself. Staff friendly and helpful. Only small problem was that locking the room was very tricky, hard to lock, until you got used to it.

Greeted and shown to our room by Kate who was very helpful and welcoming. Room facilities were very good, and as described. The breakfast was excellent with so much choice for a continental breakfast, very good coffee too. The stand out for me was the Very large white towels which were a great surprise and well received usually the ones in many previous stays in other higher rated hotels turn out to be so small, I now always take my own with me just in case but they were definitely not needed this time well done Mount Lavinia. Greeted and shown to our room by Kate who was very helpful and welcoming. Room facilities were very good, and as described. The breakfast was excellent with so much choice for a continental breakfast, very good coffee too. The stand out for me was the Very large white towels which were a great surprise and well received usually the ones in many previous stays in other higher rated hotels turn out to be so small, I now always take my own with me just in case but they were definitely not needed this time well done Mount Lavinia. Never received the pre check in instructions despite e-mailing the owner twice Sunday and saying I would not be contactable because travelling on the Monday, got no response to e-mails and even checked prior to leaving Monday morning - hassle. The room & bathroom wasn't cleaned for the 4 nights I was there, not were any complimentary teabags/coffee/sachets/milk sachets replaced through my stay - in fact the room remained as I left it each day, so clearly no cleaning was done. Breakfast was poor - do it yourself and the quality of the food was poor, including just getting whatever wasn't eaten the day before out the following morning - who knows how long some of the scones, crumpets and croissants had been around. Cheap reformed ham and reformed chicken slices in tupperware containers, very unappetising. Tried some the first morning, didn't repeat the experience and stuck with cereal after that. Not sure I got the room I booked as differs from the photo but room was comfortable enough. No fire evacuation posters anywhere, no fire exit signs - thought these were a legal requirement - no welcome packs in rooms, so no information about anything related to the property, the stay etc etc.

I would definitely stay here again if I visited Shetingham again.

Booked on same day as arrival day...so booking process was fast and efficient. On arrival, following a text message about getting the keys from the shop, the manager saw my face regards instructions and said she'd come and show us, which she kindly did. Room was huge, clean, presented well and in keeping with trying to keep the room as modern as possible. Pity the wooden wardrobe had to be in there. King sized bed was comfy and bedding was clean and kept us warm. Room and bathroom temperature were good. Shower was functional. Kettle/tea/coffee etc. are always welcome. Continental breakfast had a lot of choice and was plentiful. Manager was very friendly and welcoming. Price was great.

A short walk away from Sheringham centre. Room was good and very clean. Excellent shower. We stayed in the Cromer room. Special mention to the lady who works in the shop and looks after the hotel side as well - an absolute credit - nothing was too much trouble and she made the weekend.

Good location on the edge of town, convenient for the buses along the North Norfolk coast. Short walk into the town. Ample car parking on the street or in the yard. Room was not overlarge but was clean and had everything needed and the decor was good. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Continental type breakfast ample and varied. Altogether, a very positive experience and we would be happy to book again when we come to Sheringham.

A little gem hidden away behind a shop, my wife and I drove straight past, first time. Lovely and cosy 😊😊 clean and tidy and welcoming. Room was comfortable and warm. Beds were perfect. What a continental breakfast, sooooo much choice and Kate was sooooo friendly, could have spent all morning talking to her 😊😊 We will be back 😁

Great stay, my only complaint would be I ordered a room with the bath, lavina knew there had been a mix up somewhere along the line but did not apologise for me not having the room with the bath, even when I messaged to say I was disappointed, I specifically stayed there for the bath other than that staff very friendly, bed comfortable and room was clean

The breakfast was okay. Parking was a bit tight but worked out okay. Everywhere looked clean. A proper shelf in the bathroom would have been useful together with something to hold onto in the shower. Very well situated for attractions i.e. railway, local shops and beach.

Brilliant B&B in Sheringham. Clean and newly decorated. Great bed. Really nice breakfast. Although it's 'only' continental, it's got a huge variety and choice, we were pleasantly surprised. Although it was self Check-In , there were really friendly hosts during breakfast on both day to show us where things were and clear up. Really recommended .

This B&B is the definition of cheap and cheerful. Comfortable room with everything we needed, but definitely no frills. Great location with the shop and a pub who serve food including a fantastic cooked breakfast next door. 10 minute walk into Sheringham, which is a lovely little town and the same to the steam train. The B&B is unserviced, you collect the key from the shop and breakfast is continental and help yourself - but as said, the pub next door does a great Full English. A contact number is provided for any issues and wifi code is in the room. As a comfortable, convenient place to stay when out sightseeing it’s spot on!

We stayed at mount Lavinia on the 28th August to the 30th August. The room we thought we booked on the website was not the room we got, if it had been the room we had seen it would have been ok. But there was a smell in the wardrobe we couldn’t put our clothes in it, the kettles spout was dirty and needed cleaning it looked awful. The only good thing was the bed it was clean fresh and good mattress. A very basic room straight out onto the parking bays. We wouldn’t have minded if we were told the truth about the room we got but trying to sell us the last room left. And covering it up by not showing the original photo is misleading the customer. We wouldn’t have booked it.!!!! Bathroom clean toilet clean but I’ve never stayed in a room with a plug in to try and hide the smell that’s not good. We saw the original room on Saturday morning that we should have had, the couple left early, so we got to see it, if you like very basic that’s ok for the price we payed, we expected it to be a bit more better. I’m a disabled traveler and it’s not a good way to start your break away, oh breakfast was plenty of choice cereals. Toast tea coffee, patisserie cakes . Only one thing to say here. All our small jam jars were over flowing sticky. Running down all the sides. But it was what it was.

My room was on the ground floor right next to the entrance and a lounge which I think was for the staff. It was very noisy! The tv was on and someone was talking loudly on their phone - I needed an early night as I wasn’t feeling well. That didn’t happen. As a woman travelling alone I was not comfortable with a ground floor room close to the entrance - I would have liked to open the window, but did not feel secure enough. The room was very nice and there was a good breakfast selection. I’m not sure I would stay there again though.
