Great little hotel, right in the middle of the country town, the bed was comfortable, pillows were clean and comfortable, plenty of parking, the place feels safe and nearby various eateries, grocery store less than 1 miles.

Had reservations for 5 days because I’m working out of town , after the second night stay the front desk failed to tell anyone that was staying there that the whole parking lot would by caution taped off so they could repave the parking lot and not a single paying customer could park in the parking lot , had to park my truck over a 100 yards down the street from room with over $10k worth of tools in it . Went to the front desk and they told me they weren’t aware that “ construction was going to be happening “ . Complete joke . Also my room was only cleaned twice out of the five days/nights that I stayed there . Will not stay here again or recommend it to anyone . The beds were not comfortable at all , better off bringing a air mattress

My wife and I both enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The washer and dryer worked...though they are old, and a bit rusted. One of the dryers really requires close attention on closing the front door. I mentioned to the day manager, upon checkout, that they should have their guy with the leaf blower pay attention to making sure the rubber door entry mats are clean, as that is the first thing you associate with your room.

Nothing fancy, just a clean, updated room. I was very pleased with the parking, and especially the condition of the room. Certainly the best value in the area. Mattress and pillows are firm, but comfortable. Location is convenient to downtown.

I enjoyed my stay at America's Best Value Inn Porterville. It reminded me of the motels of my youth. I really appreciated the one-floor plan with parking immediately in front of the unit. The wi-fi was easy to connect to. The bathroom amenities were small but nice, perfect for one day. I noticed they had a well-stocked vending machine for snacks and drinks and a convenient ice machine behind the office building. My only concerns - I couldn't turn on the TV in my room. (I didn't call the office as I didn't really care about TV). The blanket on the bed wasn't that warm but that was fine as the heat/air conditioning unit worked very well. The corner of the bathroom sink was sharp. Would stay here again if in the area.

It’s nice just to sleep, shower and go to work, bothing really bad to say but nothing special. The staff was super nice though. It’s definitely affordable and not too bad of an area. I just wish it had a pool, but then it would probably be more expensive.

The room appeared clean from first appearance, but it wasn't! There were multiple cockroaches in the room!!! The man that was on shift came with his spray and gloves to remove the cockroach as if it were a normal occurrence!!! I cannot get a hold of a manage, I spoke with 3 workers that have no clue what is going on and have no idea how to get a hold of him.

Everything was really good for the price there were a couple things that could make the bathroom better like adding a hand held shower and mirror above the sink larger for tall people like me had to bend a little to see myself in the mirror, also housekeeping in bathroom was below my expectations we found a paper piece in the shower and a coucarache maybe from shower drain wich some times happen, also a couple hairs, the bed were really comfortable I sleept like a baby, just a little more attention to small details other than that was perfect, we stayed only one night but definitle will come back.

On line, this is what I would consider a "budget" hotel, but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The grounds were clean, tidy and well kept. The room was clean and seemed to have been updated within the past year. We only stayed one night but wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Low expectations given the price coupled with the fact we just needed a quick overnight place for a morning meeting in the area. Big disappointment that the wi-fi was not working and not a concern for staff. Iron and ironing board were not available. Given the price of this hotel, these two items seem they should still be available. We will not be back under any condition.

Hotel has been investing in renovations, however there was no shower wand in an otherwise large & new shower, and although the plantation shutters are lovely, blackout curtains would also be nice, especially given the large security lights throughout the parking lot. A/C struggled to cool room, and there weren't any over-mirror lights which made getting ready a bit of a mystery in the morning. Convenient location on the main street, but you have to drive a bit for restaurants.

Wifi was slow. Theres no fridge and microwave. I had to ask for a change in room to have them and they only had a king size room for extra charge. Theres no soap and the front desk didnt have anything so I had to walk to the gas station nearby and buy myself a bar! at least it had a nice room, ice machine, and The Red Onion within walking distance.

The room had an updated bathroom, with marble counter, undermounted sink, and large walk in shower. New laminate plank floor. Needs updated air conditioner. It was very loud, cycled on and off. When it was on, it was cold. When it was off, it was hot. Fairly new mattress that was very firm.

I am a contractor from the eastern US. The Americas Best Motel is the best kept secret in the centrl valley. Clean, newly, remodeled and the staff is very accommodating. The price value is the best, I really enjoy my stays here, anf it books up fast! Great location!

Motel was decent and affordable with good quality room at affordable price. I would have rated the friendly service higher but was surprised by the demand for a cash deposit of 100 dollars to secure the room. They would not accept a credit card deposit. Only cash. An unpleasant and unplanned and probably unnecessary surprise. I questioned desk manager and he said it’s just policy.

The front desk person wasn't there when I got in, they put up a sign that said be back in 30 minutes. After a day at the National park you just want to come to your room and shower. Its ridiculous to have to wait more than 5 minutes for the room.

Hotel was really clean. I like being able to park directly infront of my room. Nice tv and bathroom. Area is nicer than other budget friendly hotels in the area.

Comfortable, clean, nice hotel. Check in and out process was through service window but it could have been because I checked in late and out early. No complains, had all the basic amenities. Towels were a bit small and there was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee. Bed was comfortable, the room was clean and well maintained. Good hotel for the purpose of my trip.

Hotel has been investing in renovations, however there was no shower wand in an otherwise large & new shower, and although the plantation shutters are lovely, blackout curtains would also be nice, especially given the large security lights throughout the parking lot. A/C struggled to cool room, and there weren't any over-mirror lights which made getting ready a bit of a mystery in the morning. Convenient location on the main street, but you have to drive a bit for restaurants.

The property was nice, check in was easy and quick. The room was ok bed was very hard and uncomfortable headboard was broke on the left side. Pillows were uncomfortable. No coffee in rooms or lobby.

This is a solid stay if you are in the area. You are up the street from Main St and dining options. Rooms are always clean and everything works as it should. I'll continue to stay here every time I'm in town.

Wifi was slow. Theres no fridge and microwave. I had to ask for a change in room to have them and they only had a king size room for extra charge. Theres no soap and the front desk didnt have anything so I had to walk to the gas station nearby and buy myself a bar! at least it had a nice room, ice machine, and The Red Onion within walking distance.

It was a decent place but lots of old beds and furniture outside in common area. Room was nice and clean. The problem was after a long drive we just wanted to get into the room and rest but the air conditioner was so loud it made it hard to relax and even hear the TV. We have stayed in a lot of hotels with the same type of AC and this was the loudest and most annoying we have ever had.
