Limited parking for larger vehicles. No near by dining. bugs in room. Room was large but not comfortable.

The price for two rooms for one night was pretty good! The rooms do have a microwave & refrigerator! No hangers ! No iron ! No blow dryer no coffee maker! No phone to connect with the office! The beds & the pillow were soft & good to sleep on ! I think the linen could be more clean ! Found hair on the linen! Not enough towels in room! Limited parking! But it was okay for a night !

I received several messages from both Orbitz and Coastal Valley Inn reminding me to check in before 11 PM. What would they have done if my flight was delayed and I couldn’t have checked in before 11 PM? When I got there at about 10:15 PM the office was dark. I pressed a doorbell and someone came from a back room, turned on the lights, and invited me in for my check in process. When I entered my room and closed the light switch by the door no light came on so I had to search my room in the dark for a light switch that would turn on a light. There was one washcloth and four hand towels with the lowest possible GSM (grams per square meter) to be considered towels, and no bath towels or bathmat. Otherwise it served its purpose, clean, quiet, and near the event I was attending.

It was extremely difficult to find the person at the check in office. They were often hiding out in the back area with their family so I had to ring the doorbell to get their attention. The second day I was worried we lost our stuff in our room because the door key wasn’t working. Luckily they were able to reactivate the key card and everything was okay. The room was pretty messy. The floors were dirty and had trash on them. There was a used bandaid stuck to the comforter and there was a stain on it, too. The towels smelt like they weren’t cleaned properly and the drain in the shower had a gob of hair inside it. We were also only given one roll of toilet paper to last our whole stay. Parking was also difficult to find and was limited. Price was really good but, the complications during our stay explained why the price was so cheap. It wasn’t horrible but I don’t think I’d stay here again.

Unclean and smelled funny

The hotel was very dirty. Toilet looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. There was a big hole in the ceiling of the bathroom. The shower curtain was moldy at the bottom. The blankets on the bed were not washed but the sheets were clean. The wires for the TV and cable box were hanging down in a waded mess above the table. Not a very good neighborhood. And people were sleeping in their cars in the parking area. I will personally never stay here again. Our friend that traveled with us had a room as well. Their room was even worse than ours. Hopefully they can get it together and clean the place up.

Extremely noisy room, was woken up from 1am-5am from slamming doors and a lot of banging. The air conditioner works, but sounds like a train passing or a plane taking off. The worst was the mold all over the ceiling of the bathrooms from poor ventilation. The icing on the top was THE WIFI DOESNT WORK! Needing to work on my laptop before leaving in the morning and was completely unable to get their WiFi to work. It looked fine on paper, clean and quiet enough. But it was anything but. Loud, dirty and a waste of money.

This property is terrible. The room was disgusting and dirty. The bathroom toilet was stained with feces. And don’t get me started on the owner. DO NOT BOOK HERE!

Literally the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever been to. I’ve paid less and had way better stays. I actually didn’t even stay here, I opened the door to the room and left immediately. The door had been stabbed, the bed was dirty, nothing in the room had been cleaned, there was also a spider infestation, spiders everywhere on the ceiling. Literally didn’t want to touch anything, I immediately booked another hotel and left. Tried to get a refund for it being unsuitable for staying in, and they did not respond! Please avoid this place, is it NOT worth the money unless this is literally the last place available. Extremely unhelpful, doesn’t respond, and disgusting. Absolutely waste of time and money, and such a bad experience.

Immediately after checking in and going into the room we saw roaches. From being on the wall, the tv, under the bed area, in the mini fridge, and next to ac. We tried to call the desk after having called them on the way to hotel just 30 mins prior which was an issue too, couldnt hear when they answered, due to noise like someone had the phone shoved right up the speaker of a tv, the number on their site and then they called back after hanging up on me but they used someone elses number completely. But they didnt answer on either numbers after we tried to call to complain or see if they had a different room entirely but they shut all light offs after we checked in so no one was at desk area. Overall just disgusting

The room is very dirty. The bathroom was filthy, tub not washed toilet is so dirty the sink everything. The bathroom floor is also dirty it was not mopped. The towels looked like it was just folded after wiping the floor or something. And the sheets i did not even dare open it up it already looks all wrinkly and reused. I had to use my own towels and i just covered the part where i layed my head with a towel. Before using the shower and toilet i got some gloves and dish soap from my car to clean them. I used their already dirty towel to wipe the bathroom floor. When i woke up my face was swollen from insect bites.

liked that it was close to the freeway, other than that the place was very dirty, the bathtub had a dirt ring around it, the sink would plug up, the floors were dirty, the T.V. would only get one channel, only one towel and wash cloth in the room, and the room had a smell to it. Will never stay there again.

It’s not in a bad part of town, but it’s not in the best. There was a lot of partying going on late at night outside the door so it was hard to sleep.

I was not a fan of the echo-prone hard surfaces everywhere in the room and the tile on the bathroom floor was scary slippery after the measly shower curtain failed to contain any overflow from the floor-level shower. There was an empty mini-fridge and a microwave in the room but it would've been great to have a one-cup coffee maker - because even if there was coffee available in the "lobby" they keep the exterior door locked (presumably because of concerns about crime?). Regrettably, cannot recommend.

it was very terrible.. the tub was sooo dirty and the toilet seat was broken. shower head barley attached with rubber bands... tv turned on but didn't work fr.. we stayed for 5 minutes.

A big room with comfortable beds and a fridge. Good bathroom but we only got two towels for four people. When we requested more towels they only had a couple of tiny towels for hands. It made showering a bit difficult.

The television only turns on the remote control, it only serves to suve the volume, it is useless, but it has no channels available, nothing is available, it only looks, because it is useless.

My only complaint was that is was on the main road through town and car traffic was a bit loud

A lot of noise from traffic. Low water pressure in shower water was not hot!! We woke up to 3 housekeepers knocking on our door

I really enjoyed my stay the price was cheaper then what i normally pay for in salinas. Worth the drive reasonable price rooms has really big beds with mini refrigerator and a microwave shower has a tub. Owners are really nice and professinal. Overall i emjoyed my stay and if i can describe it in one word id say it wasa comfortable stay. Thabk you coastal valley 😁

Its good place to slip close to the beach

Great property, would stay again. People were nice and room was nice. Conveniently located and easy to get to. Our only issue was that the bathroom smelled pretty strongly of cigarettes despite being a nonsmoking room, but would definitely stay here again.

The proximity to Moss Landing and Monterey was really nice for the price. The room was a bit dirty, but nothing that was outrageous. I’d definitely stay here again if I have to travel on a budget.

It may have been extra noisy because they gave me a room with main street outside my window, all night long :-( Just request away from street will help a little.

Relatively recently renovated, but very poorly maintained. Located inly 20min away from Monterey, so it would be a great cheap alternative if the place was little tidier

We were warned that check-in was no later than 11pm. Nice guy at the front desk, looks like it's a family run business. The parking lot is almost full. The room is nice, it is clear that the repair is not the cheapest. But dirty. Dirty sticky floor, rubbish and hair in the bathroom. For 4 people only 3 or 4 small towels. The beds are very comfortable. The heater cannot be set to maintain the temperature: it either blows and is very hot or cold if it is turned off. There is no coffee machine. We only needed to sleep so ok

A category below Motel 6. I was placed in possibly the worst room in the hotel, in the bowels of the the hotel, there was no light for me to see where the key should go. then I realized that since the room was right on the street, I would never get a good nights sleep. Then the TV remote didn't work..I took it to the front desk and waited 10 minutes for the receptionist to get a battery.(it was missing one battery)..I could hear her on the phone speaking with someone and had to yell for her to call back the party so I could get back to my room. Finally she came out with a bag of batteries. Went back to the room, inserted the battery...still didn't work, then discovered that that spring on the female part was broken, so no contact was possible. She told me that even the back buttons on the TV might not work as the TV brand was very cheap quality.(I'd never heard of the brand) So back to reception (she was very sweet)...I asked for and got another room upstairs...still could hear cars on highway 1, but better than the first room. No hair dryer, no rubber bath mat for a very slippery bathtub, no in-room coffee maker, and no lobby coffee. No amenities...no shampoo, etc. and scratchy sandpaper towels. Bed was OK, room was clean, and TV worked in this room For a $150/night hotel, I'll give this a 2 star rating, well below Motel 6
