Check in was very easy. We were pulling a u haul trailer and the man at the desk was very good to find us an easy parking space. That was wonderful after a 10 hour drive that day.

The room was fine, roomy and had everything I needed: microwave, fridge, kettle, dishes. The cutlery lacked a tablespoon, but it had a teaspoon. Had tea towels, wash cloth and dish soap. :) The bathroom sink was clogged, but housekeeping put Drano in, and it worked better. The hair dryer didn't work, but I brought my own. On the web site, it advertised exercise room, but there wasn't one. Laundry facilities were pretty bad. One washer, and one dryer. After one hour in the dryer, my small load still wasn't dry. Discount at the restaurant next door was nice, and the food was good, but the service was slow. Overall, it worked out well for my 9 day stay because of the location. Noisy with very thin walls: I heard my neighbours, talking, crying, snoring and walking overhead. ( I was on the bottom floor) Truckers warming up their trucks outside my door at 5:00am. I got used to that and didn't even hear it on the last night. :)

Pet friendly and pet fee reasonably priced. Great restaurant within walking distance to motel n the complimentary discount at restaurant is a nice touch. Room was clean, well stocked for coffee, nice to have the kitchenette especially if staying more thsn overnight

The room is very clean. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom is very clean. Comes with shampoo and conditioner etc..very quiet. It was a great stay and probably will stay again next time. Rooms are affordable.

The room smelled as soon as we walked in . Then found what looked like coffee stains on the duvet . Called front desk was offered a different room. It was better. We have stayed here in the past no problems. But not sure if we will again

Super clean. I’m amazed again at how clean this property is, the room was spotless again. The pride shows, I stay at tons of hotels and the beds, showers, floors etc are never this good. Staff are great. Parking is awesome. I had 30+ feet this time and parked right outside my room. Honestly the only 4 star was the restaurant. We had the breakfast buffet for the first time and it was good, but couldn’t use my coupon for 10% off and was told after. Also it was 30 bucks each. Didn’t see the value in that for the 2 eggs, couple pieces of bacon, and has browns, but maybe others do.

First of all they didn't have our room booked properly. We requested a pet room and did not get it. The room we did get was filthy. The air conditioner was disgusting as well as the thermostat which didn't work. The microwave looked like it wasn't cleaned on the outside in months. The coffee pot had something growing on top of it. There was dust all over the headboard and lamps and fingerprints all over the mirror. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.

The room smelled of urine covered ul by cleaning chemicals. Bed felt like it was made with cardboard and cotton balls. Then they billed my credit card without telling me because it was not handled properly though the expedia interchange. [Found that out when i called after receiving my credit card statement].

The coffee pot had mold in it and our bathroom door wouldn't close unless you lifted the door. We were in a room at the front of the hotel and it was very noisy with traffic. We should have asked to change rooms.

A sign was posted in the door that said to be patient as the person was away from the desk, though the staff member was sitting there. There was no greeting, I provided my name and he demanded ID and credit card, which you normally present. Then he told me they don’t accept the type of credit card I had and that without another credit card we would have to go somewhere else. Thankfully we did have another credit card. The staff continued to be rude and when asked simple questions he snapped at us. I have stayed here many times before and have never had a problem but will never come back here again. The room wasn’t the cleanest, there was no body wash in the dispenser in the bathroom and no Kleenex though I would be hesitant to touch the dispenser because it’s covered in spots.

Carmel Inn was just fine to stay. The only thing is that we had a adjoining room, the door allow all sound come thru. Felt like they were in the room with us. I’ll make sure that doesn’t happen again. Also checking in, they didn’t have our reservation. Never heard of Orbitz. Didn’t have any thing on there computer. They were able to get us a room.

Just booked for a place to crash in the middle of a long road trip, as I have a few times before. Checked in at 12am and were outta there again by 9. Staff were super accommodating to the late check in, so friendly and polite. Rooms were nice and clean. Would, and probably will, stay again

A bit shabby a looking of a place. My plane didn’t leave till 3 pm and I asked to extend my room for one hour between check out at 11 till noon…. they refused. It wasn’t busy at all so there really wasn’t a reason for it. No room service either.

My stay served its purpose. Room were clean, the bed was comfortable, but facilities are dated. The off hwy location was noisy. The restaurant was convenient and the 10% hotel stay coupon appreciated. I would probably look at other locations for my next visit now that I know the area.

Nice place. The AC wouldn't work at first but the man at the desk was very helpful and helped me with it. The area is quite noisy and has limited choices of restaurants at walking distance. Overall it's good value.

Super clean. I’m amazed again at how clean this property is, the room was spotless again. The pride shows, I stay at tons of hotels and the beds, showers, floors etc are never this good. Staff are great. Parking is awesome. I had 30+ feet this time and parked right outside my room. Honestly the only 4 star was the restaurant. We had the breakfast buffet for the first time and it was good, but couldn’t use my coupon for 10% off and was told after. Also it was 30 bucks each. Didn’t see the value in that for the 2 eggs, couple pieces of bacon, and has browns, but maybe others do.

We particularly enjoyed our Greek dinner in the Carmel restaurant. Our server, Lisa went out of her way to make it a meal to remember. The 10% off coupon from the motel for the restaurant was a bonus.

Great place to stay if headed to the airport in the morning. Carmel restaurant is great home cooked food as well.

I was immediately impressed with the warm welcome from the front desk staff lady. The pros: Convenient location Excellent price Dog friendly and the pet fee is $15 per stay Huge flat screen TV Updated bathroom with a grab bar Beautiful smelling Apple shampoo in a full pump container on the shower wall Hot shower and good water pressure. It's own little enclosed dog park! Tons of free flat parking and if you have a large vehicle or motorhome or even a full semi truck, they have parking for you. The cons: If you have a long haired dog, bring scissors to cut out the burrs they will get walking the outskirts of the property. The bed felt lopsided. The pillows were absolutely horrible. There were six pillows in total for two beds, which was nice. However, the pillows were either too huge, too heavy, too flat. They all need replacing in my opinion. It was a difficult sleep. Old brown towels. I don't know why that gives me the ick, but it just does. You can't see if they are clean or not. I'm not sure if that's just a pet friendly room thing or if all rooms have brown towels but that's just gross. The rooms have real keys. Although nostalgic, that doesn't make me feel safe for my person or for my property in the room, as I don't know if the previous guests copied the key or kept a key. I was still recommend this place with just a few tweaks it would be even better. I'll still give it five stars because I'm just picky!
