Hotel Concord

Overall my stay was ok. The room was clean and I felt safe. But the room was supposed to have a refrigerator. There was no refrigerator. I asked about it. One of the staff seemed to think they could get one & agreed it was supposed to have one. And he Said he could make a call. But the other staff said no and no call would be made. I'd just have to deal with it. I was initially told i could get cold bottles of water, soda and Red Bull from the bar for free for the inconvenience . But the same staff were never there again the rest of my stay, and there was no notices left for new staff, to give me drinks for the inconvenience, Since i couldn't keep any in my room cold. That was very frustrating. I booked the room to have a refrigerator. Also there was no air conditioning. There was a ceiling fan. But no actual air conditioning, and it was incredibly warm in the room the entire stay. This was not stated there was no air in the rooms. It was also shared toilets/bath. Which also isn't stated. Not a deal breaker, but it should be very clear.

Hard to find car parking.

The place was clean, staff were friendly. Good to have a seperate entrance but the stairway was a bit smelly. Great showers/bathroom although shared. The fan in the room didn't work without the light on and the bed was quite uncomfortable due to sagging. The room could be quite hot in summer.

Air conditioner did not work and was told room is not advertised with air conditioning. Bed was extremely old and had visible sag and was uncomfortable. No bedside table with a lamp sitting on the floor. No tap or access to water in the room even though it had tea and coffee facilities. Shared bathroom and toilet locks half hanging off. Because it was so hot had to sleep with window open and heard what i assume, the fridge generators switching on and off all night. Definitely not worththe amount charged for a room.

The property is conveniently located, the staff are friendly, and the rooms are clean. The only negative, which is a big one, I did not leave the hotel clean because there is no water pressure or hot water in the shared bathrooms. The shared bathrooms where not included in the advertisement and for the price point ($290 per night) I would expect each room has its own bathroom. I would expect at the very least that they would sort out their plumbing issues and have continuous gas hot water for guests.

Not advertising as a hostel style room, no bathrooms in room. Limited bathroom facilities that had no locks working. People smoking inside the property. Generally unclean and not as advertised. Exorbitant prices during busy period.

Parking not brilliant, and a bit dependent on day and time. Walking distance too stadiums for concerts - 1/2 hour easy to find. Also next to train station. Rooms clean and quiet but two toilets broken but still sufficient as not too busy. Will definitely use again.

There was no aircon. However staff was friendly and nice

We requested a refund, refused to stay there after checking in and finding out of date milk in the fridge upon dirty marks on the carpets.

The shared bathroom facilities looked like they had never been cleaned. I was given dirty towels with dirt stains of someone’s footprint on them. Doors and gates inside the property were slammed all night long. Disgusting and never returning.

Upon check-in I was told that my payment had bounced, despite me having a receipt and them having incorrect credit card details that had been provided by the third-party booking agent. I was asked to provide additional credit card details so they could charge me a SECOND time, which I refused to do because I had evidence that I had already paid. The room itself was ok, but when I pulled my bedding back to check the sheets, I found mud and dirt in my bed. The bathroom was dirty. During the night, the hotel staff were coming and going from a room next door which sounded an alarm every time they opened the door causing continual disruption to our sleep. On check out, I asked for my credit card details to be returned to me, which was initially refused. I was told, “…we have thousands of peoples’ credit card details upstairs…”, and they didn’t seem to see anything alarming about that, especially given they had a photo of my licence an my credit card details on the same piece of paper. Overall, it was a sub-standard experience. Would not return. Would not recommend.

I loved that it was close the the Hyrox competition venue and we could walk. It was clean, comfortable and staff were very helpful. No hesitation in recommending it

Beds are comfortable

Great stay for a pub room. Very comfy and clean. Considering the price and the fact that it’s above a pub it was great and I got a good nights rest there. Also pub food was excellent.

Our room needed a new mattress. Only had 1 coffee mug no spoon to stir coffee etc

The rooms were very clean, although the beds were not so comfy, mattress was incredibly hard. Out bigger problem was that there is not a single mention in the property information that the bathrooms are shared, and when we looked again, there is not even a picture of them. Just be upfront in the information that they are shared so informed decisions can be made

Was in room 14. The bed mattress had a hole or indentation or something. No matter where you lay, you rolled into it. Very uncomfortable nights slerp.

We flew in on an early flight from NZ, called ahead to see if ok for us to book in early, concord hotel staff member she said yes no problem make your way, On arrival she took payment up front! Then we were taken to get keys for our room, no keys, previous person still in our room. Hallway smelt of fresh vomit, still on wall not totally cleaned away, we were told she would sort out our room would give us a free drink while we waited in bar, we had the free drink, she gave us new keys to our room apologised and asked if we needed her to show us our room, we didn’t think it would be an issue and trusted it would be ok, we Brought lunch which at venue was great, proceeded to our new room to find that it was a pokey single share room which only had 2 single beds for hubby and I! Please note we purchased a double room with queen bed. Coffee mug wasn’t washed from previous visitors, disappointed!

Beds uncomfortable, carpets dirty. There was an issue with wotif not providing hotel with proof of payment. (Moneywas taken off my account). Staff have attitude.

The room smelled really smokey - like the olden days! One bed was fine, the other one was SO soft. There was only one regular tea bag too. Water in the fridge was appreciated and staff at check in very friendly. VERY easy walk to the Olympic park.

Great position. Central to everything. Plenty of public transport. Lots of cafes, shops, restaraunts. Older style building but great place and excellent value.

Is as it presents online. Perfect location for sporting events at Olympic park ! Great experience all round

Good accommodations for a couple of nights stay. Room was small but just needed a place to sleep. Easy to get to train and Qudos Bank Arena for concert.
