I was blown away at the value for money. Not only did we get a clean and tidy room, but our breakfast, dinner, use of a swimming pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. Not to mention all of the entertainment for £70, and that was for 2 of us!!! Other than the lack of a full length mirror and a blind or curtain on the (frosted) window of the bathroom, the room was ideal. On arrival we couldn't shut the bathroom window, but the maintenance man came straight down and sorted it. The pool area was newly decorated and clean. The choice of food at breakfast and dinner was more than enough to suit anyone and the bar prices were reasonable. All of the staff were friendly and polite. I spoke to several holidaymakers and most of them were repeat visitors. I don't have a bad word to say about this place and will definitely be returning.

The room was smelly ..not very clean at all .breakfast was ok apart from running out of food .having to wait for more to be brought out ..saturday dinner was a disaster queued for half hour to find only a few things left hardly any salad left ..no deserts left and no more was brought out .sunday was the same ..so we had no food for the weekend . The thing is there are to many greedy people there .who dont care about anyone but themselves.to top it all off .couldnt find a seat in the concert hall .seats with flags and cardigans on to stop people sitting on them .so we seen no entertainement at all .ive never experienced a place like it .will never go back there .unless they can get proper management to sort it out ... not value for money at all .

After 71/2jourmey there was no way to get anything to eat so had to wait untill breakfast. Chalet needs up dating and a good clean as there was cobwebs in windows and bathroom ,tiles coming away from the wall and the sink taps looked as though they had mot been cleaned since thenronze age. Dinning room an not cope with the amout Of visitors at one sitting. Food was mainly warm when you were able to get some,but yhe food tasted very tasty and nice to eat. Staff were friendly a d hrounds well looked after. Did not see much entertainment at night ac yhere were no seats available dud to people reservi g them .

Good menu on food,well done except little bit cold . Lovely swimming area,pool was fantastic, steam room was brill,everything kept very clean and carl was a great help. The games room was also brill,two lovly snooker tables,and darts.area.

The chalet decor needed refreshing. Whilst the room was basically clean it wasnt deep clean. There was a dead spider on the side of the bath and cobwebs in several places. The net curtain had something spattered over it and had a hole in one place. Apart from the wardrobe it would have been useful to have somewhere to hang up coats. There was no bath mat in the bathroom. Some of the breakfasts we had werent hot despite the food only just being brought out. A choice of desert would've been nice rather than the same gateaux or tinned peaches. We found our way into the ballroom but then couldnt find our way out so signage would be good. We also didnt see any signs for toilets in the main building.

On arrival, the receptionist was not very friendly and this was offputting. Once we saw our chalet, we were more than worried - the bathroom, but toilet in particular was really dirty with hairs and ‘leftovers’ from previous guests. We asked for the toilet to be cleaned but this didn’t happen until some hours later when requested again. I scrubbed the Bath out myself! It is a shame that the accommodation generally needs some TLC because there are a lot of positives - great leisure facilities, food and excellent value for money - just let down by some members of staff and properties left to deteriorate.

Initially problems with Hotel.com as Pontins had no record of our booking. Several hours and phone calls later Hotel.com managed to provide Pontins with the relevant information. Would book direct with Pontins ideally.

Cheap and cheerful. Value for money when you think half board and entertainment included. Chalets are tired, although ours had a relatively new bsthroom, and new carpet in bedroom. Bed linen was very clean.

Very disappointed with our stay Im sorry to say. We arrived on Monday eve and cobwebs hanging from door entrance and bed sheets which hadn’t been cleaned properly greeted us in our rooms. Only one pillow each and we were told £10 to order a second pillow which is ridiculous! After 3 days we desperately needed some fresh towels but when I asked at reception, was told ‘we don’t replace towels until Day 5 and even then you have to order’ Many of the facilities eg swimming pool were out of use. The advert said Wi-Fi was available but this turned out to be not in the chalets themselves. Not good for kids! The staff also need to learn some basic customer service tips too like smiling at the guests and taking an interest. I honestly felt like I was being a nuisance asking for simple things and in the end gave up. I appreciate they have to deal with hundreds of people every week but for some of us ‘the paying customer’ this is our annual holiday and want it to be an experience to remember. Don’t usually leave reviews like this but felt compelled to do so this time.

The mattress was paper paper thin and when asked for it to be replaced we received a extra quilt, there wasnt enough plug sockets ( only 2) and there was no shower!!

The room was reasonably clean but the furniture a bit tired looking. They provided a quilt over the mattress which made the bed very comfortable. There was a good choice of food, which was hot, but the queues could be a bit long to serve yourself. The desserts were a bit dry but there was cream to put on it.The staff are pleasant and helpful. The entertainment was very good and made the holiday very enjoyable. The surrounding area is lovely.

Had a great 3 days away,room was clean and apt for what we needed,however the bed was just awful,i felt every spring in that mattress,needs new beds definitely, The food was excellent and lots of variety, The lady that checked us in was an absolutely lovely lady,helpful,polite,smiley We were due to change our wristbands on monday but the lady had already gave us them,just needed to collect programme, meet someone completely different,frosty,blunt and very as a matter of fact,not very good for front of house to be greet with a miserable person

Shower was not working I spoke to reception and it was fixed before we returned to our room that afternoon well done 👍 Too many dogs in the area we were staying,Dog poo not picked up even after reporting it. Entertainment was ok, lots of effort was made to entertain us in the bar area. Food wasn’t bad, be nicer if there was more drinks available.
Shower was not working I spoke to reception and it was fixed before we returned to our room that afternoon well done 👍 Too many dogs in the area we were staying,Dog poo not picked up even after reporting it. Lovely stay , breakfast, evening meal clean bedding and towels , entertainment, all for a very good price. I don’t know how people can complain for the cost it’s a great bargain. But if you don’t like it don’t go again. Our next stay in December will be our 4th stay, love the place and the friendly staff x

Staff are always great big thank you to Ann & Jackie . If you are expecting the Ritz you will be disappointed . But if you want great value for money it's the place for you . We have been going back for twenty years and so have thousands of others . We can't all be wrong .

Very good value. Entertainment excellent. Staff very polite and friendly. The only reason rated lower is requested a shower on booking unable to get in bath otherwise would have been higher rating also rooms very clean but very outdated but didnt bother us because always out and about.

Accommodation was first class. Plenty of parking. Food was excellent. Bus service from top of the drive. Overall its a great place to spend a vacation. Will definitely be going back.

We didn't go with high expectations but we were pleasantly surprised the room was basic but clean. The food offered was better than expected with plenty available with roast pork and beef although the beef was tough the pork there was nice even a salad bar breakfast was good everything from toast cereals to full english with as much as you want. Enjoyed the evening entertainment and surprisingly found the bar prices cheaper than many bars at home.

We have stayed you lots of time now due to such value for money in a room that adequately accommodates a lovely stay due to its quiet location, right by the beautiful beach & surrounding area. Only gripe this time was we were allocated a room right at the outside end of village. But kept us fit I suppose 😉

A traditional holiday camp chalet exactly as expected. Everything we needed for a 2 night stay, half board. Great value. We used it as a base to explore the area - handy for Weston super Mare, Cheddar Gorge, and Axbridge.

Did not think you could get an english breakfast wrong but they did here had toast and cereal after the first morning. Canteen needs an update badly like an 80s school canteen. Chalet was basic but spotlessly clean and tidy. Food was good and plenty of choice, the only drawback was that the breakfast was only luke warm.The entertainment provided was excellent so overall the short break was definitely good value for money

The room was reasonably clean but the furniture a bit tired looking. They provided a quilt over the mattress which made the bed very comfortable. There was a good choice of food, which was hot, but the queues could be a bit long to serve yourself. The desserts were a bit dry but there was cream to put on it.The staff are pleasant and helpful. The entertainment was very good and made the holiday very enjoyable. The surrounding area is lovely.

After 71/2jourmey there was no way to get anything to eat so had to wait untill breakfast. Chalet needs up dating and a good clean as there was cobwebs in windows and bathroom ,tiles coming away from the wall and the sink taps looked as though they had mot been cleaned since thenronze age. Dinning room an not cope with the amout Of visitors at one sitting. Food was mainly warm when you were able to get some,but yhe food tasted very tasty and nice to eat. Staff were friendly a d hrounds well looked after. Did not see much entertainment at night ac yhere were no seats available dud to people reservi g them .

You never have a problem parking at Pontin’s West Bay, the staff are really helpful and nice to have a conversation with. It’s definitely worth up grading cause you get a bigger chalet and you’re a lot closer to the clubhouse. I never went swimming but I heard good reviews from others that stayed when we were there. They have a great 18 hole chip & put course that I played on. Entertainment varies depending on the night, some nights are better than others but that’s expected. Food was of an acceptable level with a variety of choice including deserts. Been three times this year and going again another two more times and looking forward to it.

Unfortunately our quiet weekend was spoiled by staff allowing a Butlins reunion group to set up an open air karaoke in the centre aisle of chalets which was noisy and annoying each afternoon we were there When we arrived Saturday, after a long drive, we put our chairs outside our chalet to relax in the shade, then the screeching started! There was a karaoke set up in the ballroom but they decided to instead ruin our peace and quiet. So many of the people there went into their chalets and shut their windows! Who decided that all on site had to listen to them. Not good practice! We had had a stressful week and this was meant to be a bit of peace and quiet! AWFUL!
